I played Stadium course on 6/25 with a 1250 tee time. A good amount of play going on considering the prices they are still charging in the summertime. A coworker has the TPC card and we scored a good rate.
Not much to add to my review from last year but the greens were immaculate minus the unrepaired ball marks on every single green. Bunkers were also in poor conditions with nobody seeming to rake the bunkers after their shot. All three of my group ended up in a footprint.
I enjoy the course and it’s a fair challenge. We played the blue tees at around 6600 yards and it’s a challenge with some long 4s.
I definitely recommend getting to the course before they shutdown for maintenance.

I had the opportunity to play TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course utilizing a coworker’s TPC Card. We got a great rate and teed off around 2:30. We pretty much had the course to ourselves and only saw one single who played through.
First rate is a good, short all encompassing description. First rate customer service. Amazing practice facility. Nice golf carts. GPS equipped carts with Bluetooth speakers.
Course conditions were great for the most part. Green grass throughout with zero bare spots. Fairways didn’t provide much roll out on drives but fun to play on. Tee boxes all perfectly level and great grass coverage. Fairway and green side bunker were awesome. Beautiful white sand and actually fun to play.
The greens had been punched recently but were in great shape considering. Approach shots stuck and putts were true. Only negative on the greens were the unbelievable amount of ball marks not repaired. Literally a dozen on each hole.
I enjoyed my round as I haven’t played here in over a decade. It’s a fun course with enough fair challenges. I go to the Phoenix Open almost every year and it’s fun to play where the pros play albeit from a different set of tees. A definite must play at this time.

Played here on Friday 1/11 in a charity tournament. The course is 3 weeks away from the Phx Open. The finishing touches are being made on all the sky boxes & tents. The last time I played this course was 7 years ago in one of Johnny GK's events. Since then the course has been remodeled. The main thing I noticed is they added or moved a lot of sand traps and some holes had some small changes. Over all I think it came out well. The course is in great shape. It's longer than it was before. Championship Tees: 7261 yards Par 71 74.7/142. We played the Players Tees: 6614 yards Par 71 71.5/131. The greens are firm but they hold good shots. They roll very true. They were not quite tournament speed but they are getting close. You really had to be careful on downhill putts. Greens played 11.5 - 12. Fairways were lush. They were set up tighter for the upcoming tournament. It looked like they were growing out the rough. It was playable in some areas where the rough is 1 - 3 inches. Other areas it was 6 inches high and tough to play from. All the new bunkering and sand is fantastic. It's that soft powdery beach sand that's so white it's blinding. Tee boxes are lush & level. TPC Scottsdale has an awesome practice facility. The service is top notch. I highly recommend playing the Stadium course as well as its sister the Champions course. I submitted new photos of every hole. Including the infamous Tiger Woods "Loose impediment" boulder from the 1999 Phx Open and the diabolical "Coffin Bunker" on #13. Hitting the tee shot inside the stadium on #16 was awesome! I hit it 12 feet pin high left of the hole. ( Heard the imaginary cheers.) Proceeded to miss the birdie putt. ( Heard the imaginary Boos)

I got a coworker to come with me and play the Stadium at twilight before they shut it down here quickly.

Scottsdale was recently hit with a extreme cold spell, rain, and frost. The course was immaculate a few weeks ago. But it looks like the cold spell killed the grass in the divots, and ball marks. The course was showing a lot of damage in the aprons around the greens. Still in great shape but not the flawless tour quality at the moment. I'm sure when they shut it down for a few weeks it will be perfect for the pros.

The stadium is finished. You have to play it once in your life. No other shot in golf like it that has the same feel. I understand TPC Scottsdale gets a bad rap because it doesn't tie in to any natural features of the land and definitely has the artificial feel to it. I love seeing different golf courses take courses to different extremes IE the gauntlet that is PGA West Stadium, the untouched natural beauty of a Rustic Canyon links style, or the over the top flair bunkering of Faldo design course.

The finish here is exhilarating. To be able to go for an island par 5 in two on 15. Then a makeable hole in one look at the short 16th. Then an easily drivable par 4. Followed by a risk reward finish on 18. (Lay up with a 3 wood or flirt the death pew bunkers on the left and try to split the fairway with a driver to set up an attackable birdie) You can finish with 4 birdies in a row easily.

I think it's fun to have a course that isn;t stuck in the past and has a different golf experience offered.

Played here twilight during the week last week. Stadium is PURE

It's cart paths only and they have begun erecting the scaffolding on the closing holes. The bare bones of the stadium is up and you get to walk through the tunnel into the arena. It's quite a feeling hitting a shot even inside the scaffolding.

The conditions are just about as pure as it gets. The bunkers look refreshed from the maintenance. They rough is super thick and tasty as they grow it out. Greens were near perfect. Fairways have fair amount of divots and some wear which is the only thing holding it back before being tour ready. It is quite a difference when you play on tour quality grass and sand.

Currently caddies are required during the day and the price is steep. But it is beginning to have the tour feel.

The rest of the turf was a little dried out prepping for the over seed but nothing bad. Greens will be perfect following the overseed.

This course is in good shape following the maintenance it had recently.

Played here last Wednesday. Course is in the worse condition I've seen it in since playing it.

From what I saw it appears Stadium is next for maintenance and they are letting the fairways go.

As well, with summer pricing kicking in and the other side closed the course has been absolutely jammed the last 3 times I've tried to play. Tee times stacked til 4:30.

Tee boxes are lush, greens are fine, but the fairways have been let go with brown and dirt patches galore.

I'd play somewhere else with so many other choices nearby.

I think this course is all about managing your expectations. Also I come to this course recently moving out here from more a tourist perspective than a hardened local. If you talk to the locals around here they DO NOT like this course, which I feel is a shame. First you must understand this is NOT a desert course by any stretch of the imagination. So if you came to Scottsdale to play true desert tracks you will be disappointed. This is a bombers tour level course with desert elements. **Fact tour players do not like to look bad so they rarely play tight courses. This course has wide fairways and requires length and more length. It's home of the Waste Management so yes there will be tourists taking photos. Currently it is puuuuuure. Being a TPC you know it will always be in top notch shape. I only play this course at twilight because I live so close but I hear horror stories that this is a slow round and in prime season it is PRICEY!! and I can see why with the finishing holes. That being said this is by FAR the funnest course I have ever played. This is not a purist golf experience but more a theme park golf course for bombers. The desert elements are basically flat gravel with little penalty. The greens here are huge and have very little undulations. I find this course impossible to make tester par putts because the greens are flat with subtle breaks that are impossible to read unless you play here often. It starts very easy and you can spray it with very little trouble. However once you make the turn this course has one of the toughest stretches of any course I have ever played. And I have played a ton of tour level courses. Holes 10 - 12 are absolute bears with 13 and 14 being difficult as well. No 11 being one of the top 5 most difficult holes I've ever played. No 11 is almost unfair when the wind is in your face (Which is always in the evening) 460 par four water left to a peninsula green with a long bunker protecting any rolls ups in the front. No 12 is the hardest 180 yard par 3 I have ever played especially with the cross wind that blows. You cant miss anywhere but short. No 13 is the only break you get but requires an accurate tee shot. 14 has a ridiculously hard uphill approach. Then the fun begins. Stadium has THE FUNNEST finishing holes of any course. It is a risk reward thrill ride. No 15 is an easily reachable (Driver 6 iron) par 5 island green hole. (Who doesn't love island greens especially reachable par 5's give me break!) 16 is the iconic Stadium hole baby par 3. 17 is a drivable par 4 into a peninsula green. 18 is a gem of a finishing hole daring you to try to stripe a driver over a forced water carry between a barrage of bunkers (Absolute death left bunkers) The practice facility is second to none and the staff is very friendly. Come into TPC Stadium with the proper expectations and enjoy golfs funnest thrill ride!

Played TPC Stadium on 08/16/2017 at 10:10 am for the last course on my summer week of golf. Played for $79 plus tax from calling into the shop. The employees were welcoming from bag drop to cart girl to even the locker room attendant (yes you should go check out the locker room where the pros hang out during the tour stop here).

The conditions were pristine, even though there were workers laboring away at certain points on course making renovations. Some areas had new sod being laid but majority of the land being improved were where the grandstands are and vendors needing maintenance (which is not anywhere close to where your ball should be). The tee boxes were perfect and beautifully level. The fairways were amazing, perfect texture and provided great amount of roll out without being baked. The rough was 2.5" to 4" in some places bearing difficulty if fairway not hit. The bunkers (the sand looks like powdered sugar and yes you'll want to eat it) were flawless; green side was fluffy and playable while the fairways were perfectly textured for crisp approach shots. The greens was the star of the round, accepted literally any shot with spin or loft elegantly and putts rolled as true if not truer than any green I've ever played. I couldn't get over the condition of this course at this time of year.

The layout is exciting and challenging enough to break a sweat. I would love to type out how interesting playing the last 4 holes are but everyone knows. No laying up allowed for Par 5 15th, Loudest hole in golf Par 3 16th, and reachable Par 4 17th, with the renovated Par 4 18th. Fun ending and don't sleep on front nine strategies as well.

This price ($79 plus tax), this venue/layout, with THESE conditions has to be the best value in town for what I've seen so far. I will probably never allow myself to shell out $250+ in prime season...this time of year is a DEAL.
