I played the Red course on a 1021 tee time on 5/6. The course complex was busy due to a tournament on the Gold course. Nobody at the bag drop.
Range balls included in the tee time and the range was in good shape with plenty of space and balls.
I had booked as a single and was told by the starter I was paired with three others. They didn’t show on time so I went out as a single. Ran into a sixsome who let me play through and another 4 that also let me play through. Play moved pretty quickly and I got through in about 4 hours but had to wait on nearly every shot.
I haven’t played here in a number of years and was surprised by conditions. Overall they were very good. Only negatives are the greens were very firm. Well struck shots still rolled out and I didn’t have to repair a ball mark all day. Sand traps seemed like they had too much sand. Difficult to get out of them. Also, many tee boxes were firm and difficult to get a tee in.
I have always enjoyed this traditional, non desert course. The finishing three holes are still difficult with a long, right to left par 4, a 225 yard par 3, and a true three shot par 5.
Rack rates on this course are still high but deals are out there. A good play right now.

I played Wigwam Red as first 18 on Saturday 7/28 around 900am at Wigwam. I was staying there over the weekend and figured why not. Rate was about $30 with included range balls.

The Red course is fun and challenging without killing you. A traditional parkland style course with trees and water in play on a few holes.
The greens were a highlight of the course. Smooth and consistent all day. Fairways were thin as expected this time of year. Sand traps were hard pan dirt and couldn’t be played as normal bunkers.
Pace of play was good with a bit of a logjam around the 12th hole. Played in about 4 hours but could have been finished in 3 1/2 as a three some.
The Red course doesn’t get as much play as the Gold but I think it’s just as fun. I would recommend getting out to Wigwam and give it a shot.

First time here and the course was pretty much as expected. Late morning 4 1/2 hour round because of a foursome that was pathetically slow (Mr. PGA pro)!! The staff was fairly friendly and somewhat helpful. The tee boxes were in good shape with only the par three boxes being a little beat up. The fairways were green and not cut too tightly - but did have a few drier thin sections on the par 4's and 5's nearer the greens. The rough was 2-3" and very consistent. Shots could be hit from the rough without much trouble. The traps were all well groomed but ALL had poor quality sand, dirt, mud and LOTS of rocks. Luckily there were not many traps on this course. The greens were not the prettiest I've seen but were in excellent shape and very quick. Every green had larger than expected breaks and a few of the pin placements made two putting difficult. Most greens were very large and did not hold shots all that well. The course has a few water holes and many trees on every hole lining the fairways. The course is VERY flat and could easily be walked if one enjoys that. The entire course is a quite aways from the clubhouse and about a five minute cart ride to your first hole. There are homes along several fairways but really don't come into play. The green fees were more than I would expect for the quality of play offered, and I've NEVER been charged TAX on a round of Golf??? I did enjoy the course but would not pay that much again. Recommended if you don't mind paying TAX on top of your green fees.

We played Wigwam Heritage as second of 36 day. We teed off around 230 with a few groups finishing as we started. No issues getting started and we breezed through in about 3 hours taking our time. They closed the halfway house and no bev cart was on the course which is understandable given amount of play. Water is minimal on this course and the water they do have isn't good.
I've played this course many times and don't have much to add to previous reviews. The tees and greens were in good shape. I actually enjoyed the greens on Wigwam. Very consistent and easy to gauge through the day. Fairways were in typical AZ summer condition. Some bare spots but for the most part in good shape and nothing to affect a round. Sand traps in good shape and consistent.
Heritage is a fun course for me. Challenging enough holes with a good variety of length and shots required.

Played Wigwam Heritage on 12/14/16. I've played Gold a couple of times, but this was my first on Heritage.

I really enjoyed the parkland layout after quite a few desert course rounds in Phoenix and Palm Springs. The course was in very good condition. The greens are already shaved pretty close and were rolling fast, but not absurdly fast. Fairways and rough were pretty lush. The course layout is pretty standard park layout, with lots of ground for stray shots (but you will be penalized by the trees if you wander).

If I lived here, I could see making Wigwam my home course. Gold and Heritage are very fun courses, challenging without being too penal, and I assume the short Patriot course would be comparable. Practice facilities are numerous, although the "dead open field with poles in it" driving range could stand for an upgrade to bring it up to par with the rest of the facility.

The course was in really good shape. Tees, fairways, and greens were all consistent. The course had some bare and thin spots but it's to be expected this time of year.
The greens putted very slow but again were all consistent.
The Heritage course is challenging without being impossible to play. I enjoy the varying length and design of the holes especially on the back nine. The last four holes can make or break a round.
Overall, for the price and customer service, Heritage is a good place to play.

While the Blue course is in horrible shape, the RED Course was in great shape on 6/28/10. I played from the back tees, which makes for a very challenging 18 with one par 3 at 250 yds. There are some very memorable holes on this course. Especially #18.

this is a great little course its short with some really great holes 18 was my fav a par five baging for you to hit the big dog and you just shouldnt take him out of the bag hit the 5 wood and you will be happy with how the hole opens up for you and the long par 3 257 yards its a good one. over all in great shape and an fun playable course for all hit it long of the tee and you will not get in to much trouble have a great time and putt well.
