Back in CO for the long weekend. Time to look at moving out of CA and perhaps divide time between CO/AZ. We decided to start our golf investigation here, based on a referral. Glad we did. Links style course (hence the name) and a great public course. As we do not have a large GK following in CO, I was duly impressed by the reviews that had been provided. Even though they were a few years old. And the pics are spot on. But the course was what they described. First. Great customer service. + Beautiful views of the Rockies from everywhere. True links course that is wide, narrow, sneaky and lots of water and bunkers (over 50). The course is not for those that have trouble with their driver? It will eat you alive with the OB areas and water. But if you play smart and don't over power the course, you will have a wonderful day. Tee boxes were excellent. Bunkers were playable and had rakes. Fairways had good lush coverage and good lies all day. Rough could be brutal/deep and sometimes forgiving, depending upon your ball control. Very large greens but very nice to putt on. Was so nice to have a beer and food (and not in the parking lot) after the round. And it was great food. Looking forward to exploring the Loveland/Fort Collins/Greeley area over the weekend. And playing Ballyneal, TPC CO and Mariana Buttes after Labor Day.
