Stopped in CO Springs from MT on my way back to CA. Got up early this AM to play here, as it is one of the great courses to play in the Springs and watch the sun come up over Pikes Peak (check my pic on # 10 from 2017. It looked the same today). Love playing here at this elevation. Makes me feel young again. Course was in its usual great shape with good tee boxes, clean fairways with roll and lies. Traps were all clean and playable. Greens were really nice. Held shots, released shots and devoid of divots and putted with a speed of 10. Had a great breakfast after the round catching up with new/old friends. Having been a previous member here in the early 2000's it is always great to come back. Hard to learn so many great members are not here anymore. I am glad that I am still able to return and will begin to mull over the idea of moving back here and rejoining this fine club.

Started day 2 here at sunrise. We both were members here many years ago. We know that early sunrise coming over Pikes Peak and playing COSCC is a great way to start the day. We found the course in excellent shape (as always). Not to mention the great views from just about every location on the course of Pikes Peak and the surrounding Springs area. Maintenance was out in front and had tee boxes in great shape. Fairways had roll and great lies. Traps all playable and with rakes. Greens were in superb shape and running at about 10/11. Got to see many old friends and saddened to hear of those who are not with us anymore. Took breakfast in the clubhouse and caught up with the local news/gossip. When you have days like this, you thank Dad or whomever for putting that first club in your hand. And you realize that golf is a game that you can (hopefully) play for many many years.

Was in CO Springs for a reunion at the AFA last week. Being a past member it was great to be able to come back and play. Got to see and play with a lot of old friends. One of the best kept private courses in CO Springs. Found the course to be in great shape. Tee boxes were perfect. Fairways had great lies and terrific roll. Not to mention the altitude does wonders for your driving distance. Traps had rakes and people had still remembered how to use them. So they were great. Greens were in top shape and rolled at 10 all round long. Magnificent views of Pikes Peak from every part of the course. Was great to finish a round and have food/drink afterwards, instead of from a snack shack. Or be required to leave the premises.

Could not leave CO without playing here? Was a member for many years and love coming back to play here. Still a great club/course, but many of the great members are not here anymore. But with that said, the course is never disappointing. The course was in great shape. Smooth clean tee boxes. Fairways were like a carpet with a lush pile, so roll and lies were terrific. Found 1 bunker and the sand was perfect. Rough was 1" and tough. Greens were like glass and they were fast (12). Great customer service at all levels. If you ever have the opportunity to play here, do so.
