Johnny posted about this on the GK Facebook page: Ever play with an injury which did not affect your game?

For me, I had a lingering right Achilles strain, which was difficult if I didn't move for some time, but after some walking, had no pain. Took a 2 week break and all is good. Now, I'm dealing with an injury to the bone just behind the pinky toe. Hurts like heck, especially when walking on uneven ground (like when I'm looking for my ball in the desert area) but doesn't seem to faze me while I swing.

I did break a bone in my left ring finger last year that kept me from playing for 3 months.

I had a injured wrist from hitting a root on a shot at Apple Mountain and after playing through the pain for a month and a half I finally decided to take some time off. After almost 2 months everything was fine.

Except my golf game

Lets see! Tendonitis in left Achilles, need 2 knee replacements, arthritis in neck knees and hands and a bad back! 1000 mgs of ibuprofen and good to go! Yes I will play with pain! Unless I am dead nothing will stop me from golfing (or drumming!) I Played with a broken leg before as well, so stop your whining and get out and play!!!
Guess I should add I wear 2 Tommy Copper knee braces and a Tommy Copper compression shirt for my back!

Moving a friend a couple July's ago I thought I really injured my back--stupidly(cause I love golf) I played a round with RGM2525 at Buena a couple weeks after the move-- even 2 weeks after helping my friend move I could could not bend down to get the ball out of the cup without kneeling on one knee--took a couple weeks to feel somewhat normal again--rest is always the best medicine, along with stretching and therapy

Instant Karma? Last Friday at work I was trying to squeeze into a closet so I could paint. I was sitting so I could cut in around baseboard. Trying to maneuver in a small space had me in a few positions I shouldn't be. I started having pain in my back like never before. Went to Chiropractor Friday afternoon but was in misery all weekend.Out of desperation Monday I went for my first acupuncture treatment. Not exactly pleasant but not bad. Was pretty sore last night still but today am starting to feel hope that I will be able to play this Saturday at La Costa! Had to cancel a golf shop for today but hope I can get to it next week.
I am hoping that Karma just wanted to remind me not to push my luck! Have another Chiropractor visit and another acupuncture this week. Looking forward to seeing everyone and being back to 100%.
