QUOTED  That would complete my official GK outfit......!

The synchronicity would be a borderline USGA violation Alex. Not sure it would be fair to any golfer completing against you when you busted out the GK outfit. BTW - you still need a GK towel which I have on order. Logo GK Ball would help (need to get more of those).

Good looking club, would be interested to see how it putts/feels...

The goal is long and straight! But on the many times I cannot seem to hit them straight, I at least want to hit them long!

A bit late on this post, but I wanted to share my experience with the Musty Putter pictured above. At La Costa last week, Johnny loaned me the putter and I ended up playing the full round with it just to get a proper feel.

First and foremost, it is a beautiful-looking putter. The wood grain and how it is stained/colored is gorgeous. Green happens to be my favorite color and this particular design really caught my eye, so I had to try it.

The feel of the putter definitely takes a little getting used to, but I am sure I could adjust if I wanted to use one full time. Because it is solid wood, it is much lighter than any metal putter most of us are used to playing with. For the most part, I felt really comfortable with it on short putts, but I struggled on some longer putts and touchy downhillers. It takes some adjusting to get the right weight. Would love to see them with weighted insert options or something to add weight. I don't know if that's an option for custom designs, but this sample is what it is. I also think the length of the shaft on this particular model was a bit longer than I normally prefer.

Also, the face of the putter head is just clear lacquer with no texture or anything. I don't know if it makes any difference at all, but I tend to be used to my putter face that has a little "grab" and spring to it.

Lastly, it is much larger and more bulbous than my normal putter, so it just felt a bit different while standing over it and lining up putts. It needs to be somewhat bigger just to give it some natural weight. Again, the size is just something that would take some getting used to with more play.

Overall, I loved the aesthetics of the putter and the idea of playing with a more custom-style wood putter is intriguing. I would encourage anyone to try it whenever Johnny brings it along to outings and GK Guru rounds. And if you do win one at an outing, you better commit to using it because that would just be rude to take it and throw it in your closet. Like any putter, it's all about feel and getting comfortable with it. It is so pretty and I was only borrowing it for the day, however, so I felt like I had to be really careful with it to not scuff it up. It may be too pretty for the abuse I like to put on my clubs with my travel golf binges and the occasional friendly toss of my beat-up old putter that is sometimes a love/hate relationship. : )

I cannot imagine that these putters as being effective v. today's putter head technology on real-world greens. Perhaps I am just overly skeptical. But, compared to JohnnyGK's "hot dog" putter, it is indeed probably a fantastic step up! Certainly, much better to look at ;-)

While some are very lovely, they seem best suited for use while killing time in an executive/legal office, imo.

Are they USGA approved?

I was given a chance to try one of these today at Indian Wells. I am not a fan of how light it was. I was leaving everything short. Given some time and the same greens you could figure it out but I just didn't like the feel.

I did however like the sighting and accuracy with this wood mallet. I think if he can add some weights it will be much better.
