7/18 using teeoff deal time with 20% added discount for total of $62 good for Hawaii and pretty good for this particular course. Conditions overall were mixed ranging from quite good to fair. Major... Continue »

I play this course at least two times when on the Big Island because it is different (2500 ft. above sea level) and I love the layout. It 10 degrees cooler up here and the views are great. I was firs... Continue »

Now called Makani Golf Club. They've been doing fairway and lake renovation but it's clear that the fairways will never be great...too many bear dirt spots and grass that looks more like weeds spread... Continue »

Ok, I lied it's 30 minutes from Waikoloa Village but worth the drive anyway. Shot 44 on the front :( and 37 on the back :). I don't know who showed up to play the back but I like him.

Pretty typical Big Island conditions this trip. Tees shaggy and some level spots, Fairways surprisingly nice, greens splotchy but roll pretty well and hold most approach shots, Bunkers need some love... Continue »

Love the layout and at 2500 feet above sea level it's about 12 degrees cooler. The other thing is it's about half the price of the resort courses down the hill. The course is in very good shape and fu... Continue »

Big Island isn't a traditional coastal course on the Kohala coast it's about 35 minutes up the hill from Waikoloa, but well worth the visit. Great views, great conditions and about the cheapest fee ar... Continue »

Played June 28. Have played course many times over the years and found it a good respite from resort golf. Sad to report that conditioning has fallen off considerably. Greens being converted to pas... Continue »

Big Island CC is about half and hour out of Kona but well worth the drive. I played on October 13 & 16. The elevation is around 2000 ft so you are out of the coastal humidity and in the cool breezes... Continue »
