Played 36 holes at Turtle Bay on 4/4/13 during our trip to Oahu. First round of the day was on the Fazio course. The Fazio course is a classic style layout. Very forgiving from tee to green. Wide fairways, not much rough to speak of and no real trouble other than the wind which on this day was not blowing more any more than 5-10mph so that was quite an unexpected treat for the North Shore! A great course to warm up for the Palmer if you so choose.

Tees- Level and lush coverage everywhere. No complaints at all.
Fairways- Very nice and provided great lies all day. Divots had been filled in and great care is shown in the maintenance.
Rough- Not much rough to speak of. Just about an inch longer than the fairways and consistent throughout.
Bunkers- Beautiful red/brown volcanic color. Plenty of sand without being too soft. A pleasure to hit from.
Greens- Took a little getting used to. They were in great condition but so much slower than what I'm used to in So Cal. Just the way it is there with the amount of moisture they get on the Islands. Greens rolled smooth and true around a 7-7.5 on the stimp.
Customer Service/Facilities- Check in went smooth. Everyone from the cart guys, up front to the pro shop staff were very friendly and welcoming as you would expect from a high end resort. True Aloha spirit!
Misc.- Greens fees were $110 per person and we also rented clubs ($50) which were Titleist 910 woods and your choice of AP1 or AP2 irons, Vokey SW, and Scotty Cameron putter, and 2 sleeves of balls. Personally if I was only playing the Fazio course then it would be hard to justify the $110 but as you'll see in the next review it was well worth it...
