Played here 12/27/11. First time back since new ownership group took over. After a quick frost delay we were sent out in a shotgun start at about 7:45. Started off on 11 played 17 in just over 4 hours. We elected not to play our 18th hole (#10) after realizing there would be about a 20 minute wait on the tee because they were sending groups out on #10 as well as #1. As for the course, the greens were some of the best and quickest I have played on all year. Fairways were mostly dormant and had several muddy areas. Rough was very spotty with many patches of green grass to go with barren areas. My only true complaint was the lack of yardage markers on the course. I'm not demanding yardage on every sprinkler head but how about red/white/blue stakes along the fairways. On more than one hole we were left guessing the yardage due to the lack of even plastic markers in the center of the fairways.

Played here on Labor Day 9/5/11. I have been playing here for the past 15 and I am very fond of this course because it is always kept in great shape and you cant beat the price. That was not case today. I am going to give the tee boxes a pass even though they were some of the worst I have ever seen (at least 6 temporary tees, but the others reminded me of Victoria) because I believe they are going to re-do them. The fairways were absolutely atrocious with many bare spots. It stinks when you hit a perfect drive in the middle of the fairway and find your ball sitting on dirt. The greens rolled ok and the traps were perfect. Sadly, I will not be returning for a while.

Played here on 5/11/11. I have driven past this course so many times and was excited to finally have a chance to play it. I was not disappointed. The front nine is fairly flat and wide open and gives you chance to really try to rip your driver. The back nine is very tight and tree lined with several doglegs. You definitely need to play this course a few times to get a feel for it. The greens were not pretty to look at (some bare spots/off color) but they rolled smoothly with what I would call a medium pace. The fairways and bunkers were good shape. Some tee boxes were not level but nothing too bad. I walked the course for $38 and was very happy with my choice. Definitely will return as soon as I get a chance

Found a great deal for this place on golfnow.com. The temperature was about 45 degrees and the course was empty when I arrived about noon. Went out as a single but joined up with a guy on number 4 and we flew through 18 in just over 3 hours. Fairways were in nice shape while the rough dormant. You need to drive the ball straight here because all the fairways are super narrow. The greens and tee boxes were also in good shape. I cant believe I only paid $22 to play this place!

Played here last Sunday 1/23. First group out at 0545. Fairways were in decent shape but tee boxes were some of the worst I have seen in a while. We teed off on muddy and/or uneven tees all day long. Greens were smooth and fast. We were done by 0930.

Played here 9/23/10. Arrived as a single at 6am and went to the pro shop. The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and told me he would get me out ASAP. Headed to the range and hit a few balls and was sent out with a twosome at 6:40am. I was pleasantly surprised by the course conditions. A few fairways had some GUR marked but the majority were green and lush. The greens were a little slow but putted well. Traps were in excellent shape. With the combination of course conditions and customer service it is difficult to beat this place for $29 w/cart.

First time back in a long time on 6/11/10 after reading a few positive reviews but I have to say I was disappointed in the overall conditions of the golf course. For those of you who don't know, this course is now bank owned it quite apparent that cost cutting measures have been implemented with regards to maintaining the course. Many tee boxes and the hitting area on the driving range appeared to have not been cut for days. I did not see a single maintenance worker the entire day. I almost felt like some of the tee boxes could have passed for rough. The greens rolled well but were a tad on the slow side. Many bare spots in fairways. The rack rate today was $65 but we paid $45 on golfnow. Even with the lower rate I still came away disappointed.

Played here 2/15/10 with Xavier92264. Got a good rate on golfnow for $32 at 0640 and were the 2nd group out. I have always been partial to the LA County courses and today did not disappoint. The greens rolled great and had tons of break making it a must to keep the ball below the pin. The weather has given this course a beating over the past month or so as there are many downed trees on the property but it has held up reasonably well. Traps and fairways were in decent shape but many tee boxes need some TLC. I regret not playing here much more often over the past couple of years.

played here 2/4/10 with Xavier???. Went out early at 0700 and hooked up with another twosome. Breezed thru 18 in just under 4 hours. Some of the fairways have taken a beating from the recent rains with a whole bunch of ground under repair areas but overall they were decent. Greens rolled smooth and true. Traps were in excellent shape. Some of the rough was a little tough and had not been cut. Still an excellent value for $25 to walk.

Played here 10/22/09. Greens aerated 10/19 but rolled surprisingly well. Fairways and traps in decent shape but several tee boxes were some of the worst I have ever seen. Played here for $32 with cart and range balls so I find it hard to complain but the tee box situation must be addressed.

First time playing here on 9/28. Paid $49 at golfnow.com for an early tee time. The greens were being punched that day so I cannot fairly rate but let me say I was underwhelmed by the rest of the course. Fairways were brown and dry with many pathces around greens. Tee boxes were not level. Most of the LA county courses are in better condition and they charge 1/3 the price that Coyote Hills does. At $49 (even if greens were fine) I would still be disappointed but if I paid over $100 I would be furious. Needless to say, I will not be back.

First time playing here on 7/17/09 with Xavier????. Tried to hit Eagle Glen first to hit a couple of balls but the range was closed. Can someone please explain to me how this course was built with no range. Teed off at 0700 and were done by 1100. A fun course with excellent customer service. Fairways and greens were good though greens are a tad slow. Great value for $39. On a side note, I lost a little bit of respect for Xavier at the turn after watching him easily handle the 1/2 pound Dos Lagos Dog. It was obvious that he has had some prior experience with things of similar size.
