I played in the GK play event here also and enjoyed the day. The previous reviews have the conditions spot on so I really don't have anything to add. The highlight of the day for me is meeting new people and seeing old faces i haven't seen in a while.
This track is a fun one to play if you are in the area but not one to make a special trip for.

Played 2/7 with a 7:20 tee time I was lucky to find on Sat after I found out I didn't have to report for jury duty. We played as a foursome and finished in 3:45 waiting on some holes. Checkin was quick and easy and the starter is a friendly guy.
Tee boxes are excellent with no problem finding a good spot to tee it up.
The fairways are like carpet right now. Perfect coverage with good rollout and no bare spots.
The rough is cut fairly low but still made you work to get out.
The bunkers with the new white sand look amazing and have settled in to make them very nice to hit from. Last time I was there they were still soft and you really sank into them.
I love the greens here and today they played very nice. Consistent speed and hardly and ball marks.
We had the wind come up a bit on the back nine but not too bad.
We saw a marshal and the cart several times on both sides.
My only gripe is that you can't book on the phone as a single so you can't get the senior rate. I paid $62 which is still a great rate for such an outstanding track.

Played Wed. 2-2 on a very cold morning with a 6:50 tee time. After the sun was up over the hills it turned into a nice comfortable day.We played as a threesome and waited on almost every hole behind a slow foursome. Finished in 4:20.
The course has lost/damaged 60-70 big trees in the wind storm last week. Starter said they had winds of 80mph.They are doing their best to get all of the cleanup done but they still have a lot to do. Most of the fairways have been cleared of the big trees and only the green on #11 still has a tree down on the left side of it. They had a very large tree fall on to the cart barn and go thru the roof which destroyed two carts. The fairways are still littered with debris from pine needles to small branches. The greens rolled quite nice and very few ball marks.
I would wait a couple more weeks before playing here again but there was a lot of golfers out today.
I'm not going to rate this course today as it really would'nt be fair.

Spent three days in Death Valley and really enjoyed the trip. Had to play here just because i’ll never be close again. Checkin is easy in the small but well stocked pro shop. Rack rate is $78.50 but i found a better rate on Teeoff. The course is nothing special except that its the lowest course in the country at 214 feet below sea level and that really effects the distance you get. Tee boxes are just ok but playable. The fairways are very tight but with enough cushion to make it acceptable to hit from. The rough is no more than 1 inch but dormant Bermuda which lets your ball settle down. The rough is all brown which looks great next to the green fairways. If you get too far off line its bushes or desert lies.
The greens were fairly quick but had lots of very thin areas. Some looked as if they had been painted green.
I played as a single and got around in 3:15. I had lunch after the round (which was pretty good) and found out on a normal day they averaged about 60 players.
I’m happy to have played here but its not a course i would go out of my way to play.

Played here on Sat. 1-15 with my monthly mens club. We always start our year here and they really treat us great. We do a shotgun start and get lunch included for a very reasonable price.
Tee boxes are covered well but some do have a crown to deal with.
Fairways are very green and cut fairly short so you get good lies and a good amount of roll out.
The rough is cut pretty short and not much of a problem. If you get too far off line you get into trouble with bushes and hard pan. The local rule allows you to take a free drop when you end up in the wash that runs through the course.
The bunkers are a mixed bag. Some are decent but others are full of small rocks.
The greens are in good condition and held shots well. I could not figure out the greens today! Lots of my puts did not break like I thought and some had breaks right at the hole which compounded my problems.
We saw a marshal several times but no cart service all day. They have a great warmup area with an all grass range and nice putting green.

I was able to play with Johnny webber2323 and nutnbutcup for a really fun round. As the previous reviews said the whole course is in prime condition. If you get the chance to play you will not be disappointed. One thing i noticed when we finished was all of the kids spread out in the practice areas. Great job to Goose in bring the game to the youth.

I spent the night after playing at Soule Park and had a 9:20 tee time here. Played with two other singles and got out right on time. We never waited on any hole and finished right at 4 hours.
The course is in great shape now and always one of my favorites. I hit it on a very clear windless day.
I played to white tees and they were in good shape. The fairways are nice and green with very few thin/brown spots. Good roll out and great to hit from.
Bunkers are a little thin and compacted but playable.
Greens are good with punching coming next week. They ran medium speed and held the line well.
I have always enjoyed this course and plan on coming back again after the greens heal.

Played here on Tues. 10/26 with a 12:40 tee time. Senior rate with a cart comes to $46 weekdays which is a great price for such a great track. We got out about 20 minutes late and it was a very slow round waiting on every hole. Took 5 hours and we barely finished before dark.
Tee boxes were good and fairways are great with good coverage and a good amount of roll.
Bunkers had lots of very soft sand almost too much.
Greens are good but had some poorly repaired ball marks. The had shaved run ups around them so you could putt from 10-15 yards. The were fairly fast but held lines well.
Other than the pace of play it was a great day with clear skies and just a slight breeze. I wish this course was closer to home so I could play more often. Its a very fun layout in a canyon without homes.

Played here on Monday 10/18 on a very clear day. It rained a little on Sunday night but the course was in excellent condition. Played with another single and a twosome of local guys who were very helpful with the layout. Really hilly track with lots of elevation changes. Lots of mounding in the fairways so not many level lies.
Tee boxes were good and no problem finding at good spot to hit from. Fairways had good coverage and were great to hit from. The rough is not really an issue unless you strayed too far off and then it was native areas with long grasses and ice plant. Lots of houses along the fairways with large windows so you really need straight drives here.
Greens were receptive and ran true at a medium speed. The bunkers had decent sand but some had the liners starting to show so they could use a little more.
The views from almost every hole are great on a clear day like I had. Very fun round if you are in the area.

I also played here in the Golf Moose/ GK event and i totally agree with ag2000 about the course conditions. This was everything I expected it to be at a private club. The staff was great and handled everything with class. The layout is really great with challenging holes but no tricked out/blind holes. The course runs thru some canyons and gives you a quiet peaceful experience .
Thanks to Johnny for setting this up.

Played Friday 10-1 with a 6:48 tee time. Was paired up with another single and a twosome. We got out right on time on a cool clear morning.
Checkin is inside the shop with masks required. Range and practice green are open.
The fairways are in good shape with very green coverage and just a few bare/dry spots.
The rough is cut low and not to thick so getting out is fairly easy.
The greens have fully recovered from the punching at the beginning of the month. There are a few too many poorly repaired ball marks. They rolled true and at a medium speed once they dried out.
The bunkers do have some sand but could use more but played okay.
On several holes the tee were moved up to the forward areas with the back being reseeded and roped off.
We played in 3:50. Never saw a marshal or a drink cart. The snack window was open at the turn.
Overall the course is in the best condition i've seen in quite some time.

Played this morning with a 7:20 tee time and we got off on time. Checkin is in the golf shop but its bare bones in there. Looks like its being remodeled along with the snack shop over by the 10th tee. Paid $34 senior rate with a cart.
Tee boxes are level and have good coverage. Fairways have good coverage with just a few brown spots. The rough is pretty low and not much of an issue.
The bunkers are terrible nothing but hard packed dirt with some having standing water.
The greens are decent and rolled medium speed. Almost every green had lines of brown spots which look like a leaking mower.
Pace was right at 4 hours even though we waited a lot on the five some ahead of us.
I was told that the course has been sold again and the new owners plan on spending lots of money to bring this course back to how it was when it was private. Apparently one of the problems is that most of the equipment they inherited is junk. New machines are on order but everything is back ordered due to all the supply chain problems going on nationwide. They will be punching soon and plan on working on the bunkers and installing new sand. They have cut down quite a few trees which opens things up.
Its a fun track and I hope they spend some money.
