Played after the Korn Ferry event, great facility and customer service (especially Denis and Steve at the cart area). Open links style course with large fast firm greens. Fairways were lush with perfect lies. Lots of bunkers waiting for your ball. Bunkers are similar to The Open courses. Rough is penal and if you venture too far even thicker rough. Course is surrounded by three reservoirs. Hole 8 is a short par 3 surrounded water. Enjoy your round but guest fee are $280

Very enjoyable course. Flat and somewhat wide open but don’t venture too far from the fairway or good luck finding your ball. Rained the night before so the fairways were soggy but balls still ran out. Fairways are in great shape otherwise. Rough can be penal. Water and/creek on several holes waiting to collect errant shots. Greens ran medium fast and as they dry out will be even quicker. Traps were mixed. Definitely worth playing. Got a $45 Friday senior deal - golf cart and lunch

Great conditions from tee to green. Greens were smooth and fast. Fairways were lush and easy to hit from. Rough was tough and don’t venture beyond the rough or you may not find your ball. Natural area up to three feet high. Sand traps were in good shape with nice sand. Beautiful homes and views through out the course. Played with two locals that provided knowledge about placement. Fun and challenging especially the par 3’s.

As you may have read I have not been very positive about the conditions of this course and maybe those comments reached the right people as River Ridge has done a 180 on course conditions. Greens are back to the way they were and rival many of the local country clubs. Running smooth and fast. Fairway have nice coverage and provide goods lies. Rough is filling in and not very penal. Tee boxes are good and much improved since the last time I played. Bunkers still need a lot of work, but I've been told this will be addressed in the coming weeks. Glad to see this course returning to its previous stellar conditions.

Played in a tournament today on Lakes. Not sure any maintenance has been done since last weeks city championship. Tees had not been mowed, sand traps had standing water, little sand and weeds growing in them. Seems since the management doesn't care about maintaining the course, players don't either. Unfortunately was in several unraked bunkers, even though players walk right by the rakes. Fairways were decent, although they had several uncut grassy areas and/or weeds. Greens were uncut, bumpy and very very slow (maybe running at a 6). American Golf has one more year on there contract, and I don't expect them to do anything to improve the course conditions. Between Buena and River Ridge, not sure which course is in better shape. Save your golf money and play one of the other neighboring courses.

Nice to see water in the lakes and thick growth beyond the rough. Fairways were very wet and being aerated today. Lots of unfilled divots in the fairways and ground under repair. Greenskeeper must have been mad as pins were placed on slopes near edge of greens. Greens were quick but many unrepaired divots. Played in under 4 hours.

Tee boxes are a mess with divots and bare spots. Fairways have numerous divots and several types of grasses. Rough is weeds or bare areas. Traps are hard pan and not well maintained. Greens are the only bright spot, some ball marks but putt well. Hopefully the management will invest in the course as they did in the banquet room and pro shop.

Great customer service. Short from the blues but the smallest greens I’ve ever played. Course is target golf with numerous elevation changes. Read the tips on the score card for help. Good luck and have fun

Greens were very firm and running 12 or higher. If you don’t hit the right area your ball can roll off the greens. Fairways had thin lyes with numerous GUR marked. Rough was very penal and traps could use more sand. No cart girl but golf staff was great.

The greed of River Ridge's management was evident today. The lakes course should never have been open for play. Standing water or severely wet fairways and rough. Traps were muddy lakes. We damaged the course just walking (sloshing) through every fairway. Holes 11-13 were closed. May need a week to dry out

Course was in decent shape. Traps could use more sand. Today they had 10 red flag placement with a couple of holes that were in crazy locations. Nice track and challenging. Hope American Golf puts some time and money into both courses
