I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the conditions at Dairy Creek. This course was a gem several years back but the SLO Park and Rec Dept. has REALLY done a poor job maintaining this course. Pro shop staff should inform all golfers of the extremely poor condition before they arrive or before they pay their green fees.

To say the fairways were thin would be a severe understatement. There was no grass on any of the fairways. Green complexes and tee boxes were the only areas on the course that appeared to be watered at all. If you want to blame the conditions on the state's drought, one does not have to look far to see courses experiencing the same limited resources but our still in fair to excellent shape. If you were a zero use facility using reclaimed water already, shouldn't the course be even BETTER capable of handling the state's current drought? I feel it's more of a sign of poor management from the municipality.

Not a bad RV/retiree course. Rough may have been mainly weeds at times. Pace of play was good ( <3 1/2 hours) for a single yet I even got passed by a twosome. Red crushed brick (?) sandtraps seemed a little gimmicky and I was worried I would damage my wedge. GREAT view of Mt. Shasta! Overall, happy I stopped on my way up I-5.
