TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE GREENS!

If they fix the greens this would be a course worth playing. Links style makes the shorter par 4's complex. You have to be accurate. Its fun until you get to the green. Don't bother unless all you are there to do is practice driving and approaching.

There are a lot of better choices you can go to that are very close by. My recommendation is to not waste your money here.

Pine Crest, to me, is a pretty good course. It does have it's pitfalls. I would not recommend using the driving range unless you really want to work on your hard pan hitting. It is usually very dry and shredded. I have a hard time getting a realistic feel when using the range. The practice putting green is very nice and very COMPLEX. It has a lot of slope and is sometimes hard to use to warmup because you may find it somewhat difficult to find a simple semi-straight 10 foot putt to practice.

As for the course, it is pretty solid and offers a good mix of water, bunkers, and trees. The fairways are usually in decent shape but you will find hard pan sometimes in the middle. There is definitely a lot of hard pan in the "rough". Here rough = hard pan. The greens are probably there strength. They are complex, well groomed and very FAST. You will definitely need to get the right feel for them before you go out there because a short 5 foot putt can easily turn into a 10 foot putt if you miss if your not careful. One other concern is that this is a tight course so you have to be careful. When you hear Fore, you better pay attention or you might get hit from 2 holes over. A well placed tree usually saves your life sometimes.

All in all i would definitely recommend this course. I play here often, extremely affordable, around $30, and not usually overly busy. They are very relaxed and very friendly there. This is my local course and I am glad to have it because it is definitely challenging. Definitely give it a try!
