Played yesterday (Wednesday), mid-day. Course is in good shape for a muni.

Pace was atrocious. 3 hours for the front nine. Brutal. That's all we could stomach. Left early. Given two free rounds as compensation by starter, but don't know if I'll ever be back.

Course is in good shape. Greens are slow, but fairways are about as good as you can expect for a muni with the current drought conditions. I would say above average. Sand is fluffy. 4 hr round midday yesterday with 5some. Nobody behind us. Wide fairways. Great weather. Played blue tees, broke 90, had a couple of beers, paired with great playing partners. What else could you ask for? Nothing. Easy recommend.

Finally got around to playing this course. $32 mid day rate from golfnow. 4hrs for 18 holes. Typical LA muni conditions. Most fairways browned and patchy. Not the worst, not the best. Playable. Good value for price paid. Paired with two nice guys. Ok layout. Starter was kind of robotic. Easy recommend if you score cheap rate.

Surprised after reading recent reviews. Good / above average LA city muni conditions. 3.45hr pace starting midday Tuesday. Soft, fluffy sand in traps. Greens are good. Pro shop well stocked. Good staff. Some interesting holes and nice views. No complaints. Tasty hot dog at turn. Keep expectations low and you will be pleasantly surprised. recommend.

Played Christmas Day with some Troon Passes my father had. Paired with two guys from Los Angeles. 4 hr round.

Good customer service, nice layout. Conditions were OK at best. Greens are pretty bad - all are slow, bumpy and still recovering from punching. Fairways good. Traps were acceptable.

Free round, so I can't complain too much. The resort is beautiful and the dinner buffet that night was excellent.

Overall, easy recommend, but read reviews first so you know the conditions going in. I feel like this course is usually in better shape.

Wed mid morning ... 4 hour round. Conditions good, fairways a little thin as expected. Nice layout, semi-tight fairways. Sand was fluffy. Good customer service. GPS in carts was accurate. Beer cart made plenty of passes. Tasty burger in restaurant after. Easy recommend, although the $54 I paid pushes price, IMO.

Played yesterday with my buddy, late morning. $40 "special" rate booked directly through their website. Paired with a nice senior. 4hr round.

You know the drill with the Goose: great course, customer service and facilities. Conditions outstanding, although my friend said sand was hard packed.

Plenty of passes from the cart girl, good food in clubhouse after round. A must play for anyone living here in Socal. One of my all time favorite golf courses. Well worth the drive.

$42 dollar late morning rate with teeoff.com was a steal today. Our threesome got out at 11am right before they were scheduled to punch the greens. Place was pretty empty and we had nobody in front or behind us all round.

Sand traps were hard packed, other than that, the course is in great shape. Customer service is outstanding. Must play for SoCal golfers. Easy recommend, just wait for the greens to heal.

Tuesday, midday. 3.5 hours. Typical conditions: seen better, seen worse. $32 ($34.50 with golf now fee included) with a cart is a little much, but it's better to be playing golf instead of just going to the range. Have to use most clubs in your bag.

Not bad, keep expectations low.

Played early August 5. Paired with two walkers, I took a cart. 3.5 hour round. Very surprised how well it's maintained. Everything is in above average shape considering the CA drought. Fairways, greens and tee boxes - all are good. Didn't find the sand today, but the traps looked ok.

Starter and Lady in the snack bar were both nice. I golf once a week at Woodley, but this may be my new spot. Not terribly difficult (I usually play the white tees) or visually stunning, but Hansen Dam works for the casual golfer like me. Price is pushing my budget - $42 plus $4 single rider fee and $2.50 Golf Now charge put this round at $48.50. Still, it's an easy recommend.

Played 7/1 mid-day. Arrived and the parking lot was packed, clubhouse line at check in was 6 deep at the register. I was fearing a 6 hour round, but surprising got around in 3.25 hours. What!?! Must have caught the sweet spot. Nobody in front or in back of us all day.

Conditions are above average except for the greens which still show signs of punching. Sand was fluffy white. Very quiet and peaceful on the back nine that runs against the airfield.

Bummer: The have taken the big destroyer battleship out of the water hazard on the par three. It's behind the green on stilts.

No brainer recommend.

Played 6/16 for $28 (includes small bucket of balls). First time here, liked it. Conditions typical of LA munis - decent greens, traps were semi-soft sand, tee boxes hit or miss. Fairways acceptable. Some challenging holes, some straight forward.

Very quiet area with lots of deers just milling about the whole course. Snack Bar and Pro Shop customer service were good.

No complaints, it's just a bit of a drive for me. I would recommend if you want to try something different. Price was right and pace of play was 3hrs.
