We played a couple of weeks ago.
The course was in nice shape, service is pretty good, pace of play was good but Marshals always push morning players regardless. It becomes a little distracting.
No complaints about the facility or the course but the rates are high, even for local residents.
Too many options to play in north county SD to play this course more often at those rates. It is a good place for corporate outings.

Played Saturday8/23, paid $65 to play, tee time was at 3pm, needless to say we started at 3:15 and finished in the dark. The fairways are a lot of fun, and some of the views are really pretty. Some of the holes are pretty spread out. The greens? Oh man, black circles all over, some sort of fungus damaged them. The roll is weird and some of them have dramatic slopes difficult to do well the first time. The staff is very nice and helpfull, there is a temporary green in one of the holes due to the plane crash. I liked the course specially the back nine, but I find it over priced even for a resident. I was a single joining a thresome and I was forced to share a cart with the stranger. I never had that happen, and I play a lot.
I am disappointed and it will be a long time before I play it again, worst of all....I live around the corner.

Played 02/10/07 Tee off at 8 am. This course is all you can imagine, just beautiful. Golf course superintendent warned me about the greens, super fast, hard to read and in great conditions, I think I putted 3 to 4 times in most of them. The fairways were in pretty good shape considering the rough winter we had. A lot of the holes were breath taking. You got to be careful and try to stay away from the slopes on the fairway or your ball will roll in to the rough and you will have to change your strategy.
I will go back to play this course when I can spend the $$$$$$. If it would be $40 less I would say is a great value, right now is too pricey. This is a must play at least once type of course. By the way service was awesome.

Mi first time Golfing in Palm Desert/Palm Spring. Needless to say, most of the views from the course were very impressive to me, but some areas looked a bit abandoned and kind of rough.
Some of the bunkers have small stones that can damage your wedges, be careful.
Most of the fairways were in good condition and the greens were very firm and a bit fast, ok for the most part.
Overall the course played ok, not difficult at all for mid to high handicappers.
I was not aware about the free drop if you end up in the wash, I struggled to get out of it a few times duh!.
The staff was very nice and very accommodating.
I paid $60, I though it was worth it, but There are too many other options out there to play the same course twice unless you loved it. I didn't.

Played on Saturday 11/25 at 1pm. The front 9 has very narrow fairways, but the back nine is open.
The fairways, are in terrible shape in my opinion, not enough cushion for a
confident swing. A few of the holes are too far from each other, because the course is part of a community so you waste a bunch of time riding. Most greens were in really good shape.
I was not able to finish all 18 holes, bummer. I paid $35 but and I am sorry to say that I am not interested in playing it again any time soon.

This course in prestine condition. I played it last week for the first time and I was very impressed with how the course played, more importantly how truly beautifull this medium size course is. The fairways are pretty friendly, some of the par fours can be reach of the tee if you can drive it 300 yards. Be aware of the bunkers, they are small but a few of them are pretty deep. There are some big boulders on the size of the fairway in a few holes you don't want to hit them your ball could ricochet super far.
The greens are in pretty good shape and not a lot of break.
To summarized..I can't wait till go back next week! their twighlight is a greast value aswell.
