Course is in pretty good shape; even with all the heat. Greens roll true. Fairways were lush in most areas, but cut very short. Rough is punishing on your score, your back and your wrists! Sand traps were very disappointing...sand was packed and much like a waste area. Lots of blind tee shots...course knowledge is very helpful here. The pace was pretty slow for so early in the morning; but never saw a marshal. Customer service was virtually nonexistant. We teed off and it was pushing 80* already. It was over 100* when we finished. I started with two bottles of water and ran dry by the 12th hole. There was no water on the course. My brother said there was some on an earlier hole that I must have missed. But there was nothing on the back nine. The fountains at the restrooms weren't even working. This is dangerous in such heat and irresponsible of the course. The track is great, just remember to bring a cooler. » ClosePlayed Sat. 7/10 at 7:20 am. My first time on this course and was warned to bring lots of balls. It appeared to be a short course so I played the blues at 5,631 yards. I think I would have had more fun off the whites at 5,353. While it doesn't seem like much difference, the pushed back blues require a very accurate tee shot...and it helps if you can work the ball. At this point, my game lacks such finesse. The course is in beautiful condition with lush green grass and punishing rough. The course design requires more brain than brawn and the back 9 is more forgiving than the front. The greens can be difficult to read and you swear some break uphill. Hole 12 is gimmicky as it is a blind 3 par dog left. But you do get to ring "de bell" to let those behind you know they can hit. I'll return to this course for the challenge, conditions & service...but on a weekday when the rates are lower! » ClosePlayed Monday 6/21 just after 8:00 am. Service was excellent and we went out right on time (two threesomes). Course is in great shape with the exception of the bunkers. Seemed there was not a lot of sand and what was there was either wet or compacted. Found the greens to be unusually slow for this course. At the pro shop I was told they are letting the greens grow to prepare for the summer heat. So be aware, nothing breaks as much as you might think AND give that putt a bit more pace. This course requires strategy and due respect. Be careful of "sucker" tee boxes or your drive will be OB. While looking for your ball, watch out for snakes and enjoy the beautiful scenery at this resort like course. » Close
