No one plays this course anymore after the rate hike. You can literally finish 9holes in UNDER 2 hours, before twilight. Greens just aerated. Should be pretty good in few weeks. The greens btw were perfect a week prior and my hat's off to the staff at Harbor Park. For a 9 hole course and a golfer short on time.. it's a deal.

Very nice 9 holes. Not a 'baby" course. It's a good, legitimate 9, with real par fives and a particularly challenging long, no-peak par 3. There's not a lot of sand but don't let that lull you into thinking you can over-power it. You've still got to make good golf shots. The greens are particularly good, with challenging breaks and large size. Was very windy in the PM, which I guess is common. Great after-work 9!

If your trying to catch a quick game after work and you live close by this is the perfect choice. The people were friendly and really respectful, At times it may get kinda windy but all in all it's a well kept course and really friendly. This is one of my favorites.

The course is in ovarall good shape... but what I like about this course are the greens, I think they are better than most of the other local public courses. For a quick 9 holes it's a great little course.

I enjoyed my day here. I played on May 24th, had some rain on the first 4 holes but a good add-on. There is nothing hi-tech or extraordinary about this course. Ironically, I enjoyed myself more here than other $80+ courses in Riverside.

Great shape for middle of summer, fast pace of play. Fairways were pretty good, greens are in excellent shape as always. We had a fivesome and still finished 9 in under 2.5 hours. Love this course.

The course is in very good shape considering the amount of play it gets. The greens, for the most part, roll true and are in good shape. The fairways are generally execellent. The Tee boxes could use more attention.

Stopped by for a quick 9 and was able to get right out. Staff very helpful. Course was in much better condition than when I used to play it back in the 70's. Good pace of play as well.

Played Saturday 9/8 Course was in very good shape. Played 9 holes (early) in 2 1/4 hours. I was impressed how well this course is maintained considering the heavy play that it gets

Played in Scramble 4-man Tournament. Tees were in the WAY BACK spots on the tee boxes. Greens rolled fairly well. Very quick. Fairways in great shape. Play was FAST for Harbor; finished our 9 in under 2 hours. All in all a wonderful day at Longshoreman CC.

Well another good day at Longshoreman CC. Course in really good shape. Drawback was the greens -- SLOW and BUMPY. Fairways are in good shape as the fairways. Need to either cut the greens or figure our how to roll them b/c they do not roll true. Lots of bouncy bouncy balls rolling. Really have to hit the put hard to make it go.

No folks I am not a Longie. Although I have many friends that are. They play regularly there. Played this weekend because no other course would get us out before 11AM Saturday. Tee Boxes are really torn up. Greens were cut a bit thin and ran really fast. Wind has been whipping around the South bay drying all the greens I suppose. Sand is ok. It's well lined so expect soft shots. They did tree trimming around course so if you hit into tree lines you can at least see the green with a glimmer of hope of reaching it in regulation. Play is slow but what do you expect from a course that gets loads of play? Fun though and expect typical rounds of 2 1/2 hours or more for 9.

This is always a fun course to play. Fairways always have grass and the greens are adequate. Tee boxes need some work, but with the amount of traffic this place gets, its understandable. Best thing about Harbor is that you can easily walk on after 12pm even on weekends. For the price, its definetely worth it to play there.

Hey ringworld ru a longie. Anyway they have a fair drainage system however they simply just over water and its been that way for years. Understand that this being a city facility Superintendents come ago go all the time because it is a training ground for them to advance to a higher position. No consistency

It's Longshoreman CC! Played here recently (Thursday & Sunday). Greens bumpy but workable. Balls hit green with decent release and control. Fairways in good shape but brown from cool winter. Tee boxes have some problems with being flat but you can deal. Question though is where does all the water go? I mean it has to go somewhere, just why does it end up in puddles and make the place soggy?

I Play here 3 to 4 times a week only because its a nine hole par 36 that is 5 minutes away and I also worked here for about 8 yrs(no longer work there). Customer service is is close to terrible with the exception of a couple of people. It is run by L.A. City.
90% of the people who work there could care less about golf so have no compassion toward golfers concerns, and at times use retaliorty tactics when golfers cmplain. As for course conditrions,
it is always soaked even during the summer at noon. The greens are terrible, and pace of play is horrendous. Now if you can tolerate these conditions you'll enjoy this 9 hole

This is the best 9 hole course in the county at a par 36 with two par 5s and two par 3s. I have rarely found the fairways to be in average condition as they are always green and full of grass. The greens are many times the best part of the course, however, when I played it this past weekend, they looked rather worn as they prepare for aeration.
With fivesomes all the time, after the first hour of tee times, play can almost be 2 1/2 hours per nine holes, which is barely tolerable. You will encounter hackers playing with little regard for etiquette or players that have played there for years and move along at a quick pace regardless of how many shots they hit. There can be log jams all over the course and you may hear the call of 'Fore' quite frequent because of the caliber of play. When I have the time and the inclination, I would rather play Harbor Park in 2 1/2 or 3 hours than deal with a 5 1/2 hour round at any of the other city courses.
