Just played 9 holes Thursday and the greens were in much better condition than they were a few months ago. Some friends and I played it in January and there were huge spots of just sand on the greens which made putting nearly impossible. Its definitely not my first choice to play but since it's the closest to me I end up playing there a lot. The reason why is the pace of play is so slow that you end up having to wait 10 min for every shot. That, and most of the people who play there either don't speak english or hit in to you constantly. No one who plays there understands the concept of waiting till you are out of range before they hit, I was almost hit twice a month or so ago. I don't believe they have any sort of control over the starters box there at all. I would much rather play at Balboa, Encino or Woodley Lakes.

The course plays more difficult than it's 68.1 rating, I would argue it's more in the 71 range but that's just me. The constant elevation changes is what I think is the most difficult about it. I'm by no means a scratch golfer but I enjoy the scenery and the challenge for now. Oh yea, the greens there are VERY fast and unpredictable. Decent course overall, would rate it a 2.5 to 3 out of 5.
