Unfortunately, this course has not recovered from the closure last year. The good news is you can pretty much play anytime as there are now crowds. However the course is in very bad condition. The greens are dry or dead, the fairways are brown with many bare areas, the rough is uneven and weedy, and the sand is not really even sand anymore. The final blow is that they have not lowered their prices to create traffic and are only open until 5pm which eliminates after work play for the most part. As a member, it hurts me to say this, but playing this course right night is like playing on the airport tarmac!

Okay, played here on Wendsday for the first time and while the price was great, not sure I would play again. The fairways are in so so shape and the greens were super fast and hard to hold. The 17th (par 3) had trees on both sides that hung over the fairway that the only shot was a punch. The best part of the day was the hamburger at the turn. The bacon cheeseburger rocked.

This a challenging course to play, but it is a fun track. If you play in the afternoon, then you can expect very windy conditions. Normally, the greens are faster than 90% of the greens that we'll play during the course of the year. Unfortunately, we found that they had been aerated, yesterday (necessary evil?).

Played today. Best value of ANY place, just $25 with cart after 12 noon. Place is a mix of great conditions to poor conditions, about 50/50.

Greens WAY tooo small, WAY way way, but it dont matter much cuz if you do hit them youll roll right off cuz they are slick and uneven. Not a flat green on the course.

All in all I think Ill play here more often because of the $25 price tag and I love the in cart GPS that lets you order lunch before you finish the 9th hole.

It was Nice, not thrilling, but nice. So-so drive to the course, so-so conditions (Few greens were ugly, few waaayyy too fast, few waaayyy too small). Lots of water, Nice elevation changes and challenging club selection on a few holes. I'd go back and play for the $25 after 2pm rate w/cart, but not for a $45 morning round on a weekend morning.

Below par course in need of some work. Traps are horrible. Greens were soft, spongy and slow. Course has some challenges but not worth the drive.

Many fairways were in bad shape. Lots of ground under repair. Standing water in some bunkers. Some nice views, but thats about it for this place.

Course is in pretty good shape. Greens were smooth, but not real fast. Fairways nice.. Fall is here, lots of leaves around the trees, so you need to really watch where your ball goes. Lost a few that would normally be o.k. but found more while looking. A good day of golf...

Played on a Sunday afternoon. Pace of play was good with a few twosomes just starting out ahead of me. Got through in 3 hours and 45 minutes; it might have been faster had it not been for those few . Carts have gps, but that didn't help much with the numerous side-hill lies, small, hard greens and areas of too much or too little water. No beer cart girl either. With better turf management, this could be a nice course. I guess it takes money to aerify, topdress, overseed and trap gophers and ground squirrels. Hey, I am NOT just an angry, crappy golfer, but lets try to do some additional maintenance once in a while. You know, softer greens ( they are small ), nicer fairways and rough, and real sand in the bunkers. Is that too much to ask?

I called the course today, and they are finally back to a full 18 --- however there are soggy areas and it will be cart path only.

DUE TO THE RECENT RAINS,HOLES 6 THRU 12 ARE CLOSED. YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY 1-6 TWICE AND 13 - 18 TWICE. EVEN THE OPEN HOLES HAVE SOME VERY SOGGY SWAMPY PARTS,ESPECIALLY # 1,17,AND 18.

Played 10/29 and as always has difficult angles from the tee boxes and is rather target golf. Tee boxes as always just adequate, new owners are making progress. Overseeding fairways now so no carts on the fairways. Just completed punching (large tines) greens and sanding, so putts sometimes do strange things. It is a golf course I love, because you can do a 2 1/2 hour round on friday if you hit it just right. Also the prices are good and you get to play with the GPS thing. It is getting cold these days, was 50 degrees at noon on friday. Oh, and the staff are the friendliest.

With the exception of probably half the tee boxes (they need a lot of work), the course is in great shape. This time of year it is a good idea to get started early because the wind can kick up pretty severaly around mid-day. Greens are great and getting better all the time. Huge improvement in the last 2 weeks.

Not a bad track.

The conditions were pretty decent. Everything was green. Greens were all quite smooth, and were receptive, even though they are all postage stamps in size. Nearly all holes are quite narrow overall.

The layout is a little quirky. Features 7 par 3s, 5 par 5s which I didn't really like. No real chance to get any rythym (pars in this order- 4,3,4,3,4,3,5,4,5,3,4,5,3,5,3,4,3,5) Lots of hidden ponds as well, that aren't marked. Stakes would be nice to help identify where they are at.

At 45 bucks with a cart its not a bad deal, but overall it feels a bit gimmicky. The price and easiness to get a time are the only reasons I'll be back!

New owners seem to be taking charge. New equipment and lots of work going on. None of the work is affecting play.

Played last Friday... 18 early in the morning, and another 18 with my church's annual golf tournament. Conditioningwise (is that a word?), the last post is pretty much still true. The greens were quite nice... some were really fast. They're all very small.

This is a really tight, tough to score on course. I imagine it would get easier as you played it a number of times, but it kicked my butt first time around. Love that hang time off the tee on number 5.

It was a fun course to play our tournament... we played a 4 man scramble, and my team won it at 7 under. The par fives are short, and the par 3s are long. We managed one eagle, but were on or near the great on a lot of the 5s.

Looks like I'll get another crack at this course, as the prize was a free round.

I enjoyed my round Played 8/24 at 6:56. As previously reported, coarse was a little on the wet side, but I guess that is needed to keep the course green in that climate. I'll take wet and green over dry and brown anyday. Tee boxes could use some more work, over all they were fair. Fairways in pretty decent shape. Greens were soft and in overall fair to good shape. No problems with any wind, the weather was great.
You get some great views from the various elevated tees and it is pretty quite. An enjoyable and relaxing round. What made the round even better was that my 2-some played and had an excellent brunch for free (see the ads in places like LA Gof)!

The staff is as friendly as can be. No doubt about it. One of the friendliest staff's I've had the pleasure of coming across. Wish I could praise the course. It should cost 15 dollars to play. The whole course was wet and muddy at 10am in 90+ temperatures.
Standing water in bunkers, greens were soaking wet. If the course was dry if would've made it a lot better. Did have an enjoyable time though.

May 20.
What is there to say about this course except.
1: It should cost 18.00 to play.
2: The fairways are in terrible shape.
3: The greens suck.
4: The 9/10 hole Hamburger Shack rocks!
5: The wind is not as bad as everyone says it is, or least the day I played.
6: The man the runs the place is nice as can be. I think his name is Stan.
7: If you live in SCV its still to far to drive for 30 bucks.

Go to Encino or Balboa or even Knollwood. All 3 are roughly the same price and all 3 are much better course.

Sorry Stan!!!
