Sixpez pretty much nailed the conditions. Greens seem more recently aerated/sanded than a month ago, but are still very slick on downhill putts. They were pretty firm and I had a hard time making any ball marks, but there were quite a few other ball marks on the greens. Fairways were great. I was in one bunker and it seemed crunchy and hard at first but there was actually a sufficient amount of sand in it.

Layout-wise, I too enjoyed the back nine waaaayyy more than the front. Front was fine (except for one bad hole with a lay-up tee shot and a severe dogleg), but the back gets very interesting and demanding in spots. The 11th hole requires a long carry to the fairway off the tee, 12 is a fantastic long uphill par 3 surrounded by trouble, 13 is a reachable par 5 with a fairway that slopes severely from left to right, 14 is a short, strategic par 4 with two giant trees coming into play in the fairway. No. 15 is a very picturesque par 3 that requires a carry of nearly 200 yards to clear a greenfront lake. No. 16 is a 400-yard par 4 with a very interesting, two-tiered tee box that allowed the player to choose which tier to hit from (that's how the tee markers were arranged today anyway). No. 18 was a demanding straightaway par 4 and a good finisher.

If you get the chance to play here for a similar rate that we got today, I say take it!
