I used an Under Par deal yesterday for this course and played 36 holes. I suggest you do the same. Does Golf Moose have a deal here? I think this course has better conditions than Goose Creek and that is saying a lot. The greens are perfect. They have more bent grass to them than bermuda compared to the other courses in the Coachella Valley. On holes 10, 11, and 12 you get away from the houses and play 3 wonderful holes in the hillside. I am glad I didn't play the blacks for my second round due to the wind really picking up in the afternoon. On 10 hit it straight. On 11 you only need 200-230 yards on tee shot and then about 190-220 for the downhill approach. On 12 well let me just say club selection club selection club selection....tough the first time you play this very downhill par 3. Hole 18 is a monster par 4 when the wind picks up. Make this course a priority for a summer deal, you won't be disappointed!!

5/22 740 tee time using golf moose $46 was originally booked to join a 3some but upon arrival was sent out as a single. Hitting bay pitching area and putting green available so got an ok warm up and went out on time, catching the groups ahead after a few holes but just slowed down hitting na few extra shots and chipping to pass the time. Did not have anyone behind until 17 so had a leisurely round in 320 POP. Lot of the members have thier own carts and ride single so there isnt much dilly dallying.
1st time back in 10 plus years as at one time had a smalln weekend place here and played quite frequently. Routing has remained the same with a couple of new teeboxes and cart paths that are more efficient. Played the golds par 71 68.7/118 for the 1st time and overall enjoyed playing forward, kinda nice to not have to hit mostly 3 woods as my second and still being left with 30-50 yds pitches.
Fairways are lush cut fairly tight but the quality is so good that there was good cushion and still allowed extra roll. Rough is cut to about an inch so very playable to hit from but penal in the sense that tere is virtually no roll.
Tees are really good. Bumkers have ample sand nicely compacted and consistent.
Greens are mostly smooth medium medium fast speed with some seasonal poa. From past experience I rememberd that every thing breaks away from Mt San Jacinto and it remains even more true now than before. Had a couple of misses on shorter putts and put a ball in the water on 2 for a double and had a brain freeze double on 5 so I mostly thought I was on my way to my routine 88ish to 90 something. However threw in a few pars and had one of my best back 9s here to challenge shooting my age being 1 over on the back going into 17 when i managed to bumble boger 17 and 18 to finish with an 82 but believe me I was thrilled to strike the ball as well as I did today.
Weather was just about perfect with a slight breeze. Staff was very friendly and welcoming

Played here today to finally record my first round of 2023. $90 TeeOff.com "Deal" time minus 20% promo code, so $72 for 12:03, cart included. Pretty sure all four spots were sold but only me and another guy showed up, so we played as a twosome, behind a threesome, behind a foursome. As a result, we waited quite a bit but overall POP was good at around 4:00. Ideal weather with very little wind and gorgeous views of snow-capped San Jacinto and San Gorgonio.

I wouldn't be surprised if these are the nicest conditions I play all year. I can't think of any knocks against conditions. Greens were smooth, medium-fast, and accepted full shots well. Almost everything except the very edges of the course are beautifully green and lush. Fairways were great, probably a 9. Rough was really nice too, about 2-3 inches deep, just enough to possibly make things difficult if you don't strike the ball cleanly. I was only in one bunker and it was fantastic. Silver tee boxes were pretty much pristine.

I've wanted to play here for 30+ years but never had. Really wish I had sooner, because it's a great course. They started us on the 10th hole, and 10-12 are definitely the highlight of the course, climbing up a mountain and ending with a severely downhill par 3. I think I'd prefer to encounter those three holes in the middle of the round instead of right out of the gate, but the rest of the course is solid, too. There are some gentle elevation changes you don't often find on desert courses. I enjoyed it much more than I expected and definitely look forward to playing here again. The overall club seemed really nice, too, with beautiful tennis courts and a pool. The driving range is for members only, but there is a hitting bay if you need some full swings to warm up. There's also a nice chipping green and practice putting green. Highly recommended.

I played yesterday, 1-31-21. A friend told me about this course several years ago but I never seemed to think of it when looking for somewhere to play. It’s a private course that occasionally gives some public tee times. A few days ago I saw one available time offered on TeeOff so I grabbed it. Check-in was fast and friendly. I got my cart and they told me that as a guest I had access to the putting green and hitting cage, but the driving range and chipping area is for members only. I was paired with members Ken and Gary who made me feel very welcome and were a lot of fun to play with. I was immediately impressed by the conditions. It’s one of the most well tended courses I’ve played during these winter months. There is no brown, dormant grass here. Everything is just pure emerald green. The fairways were completely lush. The rough is very consistent, about 2 inches and was quite easy to hit from. The bunkers had such perfect sand that I was actually excited when I got to hit from it. The tee boxes had a bit of divot damage but were large and level. The greens were challenging. They were lightly sanded but they still ran smoothly and very fast. I can only imagine how fast they would be when not sanded. The only downside was the sand camouflaged some of the more subtle breaks. The “Indio effect” is very apparent here, so remembering that did help. This Ted Robinson course is a nice old school design with flat, wide, tree-lined fairways, plenty of bunkers and a couple of lakes. Only the one on the second hole really comes into play. The big surprise was holes 10-12. They are a huge deviation in design from the rest of the course and they were the highlight for me. These holes are across the street and climb very high up the hillside. The view of the entire valley is amazing. Hole 11 is a par 4/5 with an elevated tee and a narrow section of fairway that can easily funnel the ball off into the abyss on the right. I really appreciated Gary’s advice in how to play it and it turned out to be one of my best. Hole 12 is a par 3 with a drop down to street level. I don’t know how high the tee box actually is but it made me think of #18 at Glen Ivy. I love elevated tees so this one made me very happy. Covid precautions were few. Masks are required in and around the clubhouse. On the course, ball washers, trash can, rakes, etc were there and all had ‘handle at your own risk” labels on them. The beverage cart came by a few times. POP was 4 hours. I was told that was much longer than a typical round but there were a couple of slow groups ahead of us. The marshall did finally get things moving better by the 7th or 8th hole. I’m so glad I finally played here. I had a great time and look forward to a return visit. Highly recommended.

Played here Memorial Day with some friends who are residents of this community. Windy day and very cool for this time of year. It was a 7:30 shotgun and the round was completed in just about 4 hours. Great course conditions overall. Nice greens, lush fairways and rough, level tees, and great sand in the bunkers. I was all over the place with my drives, so I did not see a lot of my own fairways, but I always had a good lie wherever my ball landed. Greens were medium fast and smooth. There is lots of variety on the course and some holes have more room for error than others as parts of it winds through a housing development. I always have fun here, especially on the downhill par 3 Hole 12 into a strong wind!

We found Mission Lakes CC just a little breezy when we arrived, but it was a nice comfortable 65 degrees start at our 6:50am tee time. It got us just a little nervous- sometimes it really blows there, but the 15-20 mph wind gusts didn’t persist much- it was off and on every half hour, it seems. Thank goodness :-) ... finished at 11:16. I think that’s slow for a lead group start. Drove me nuts to see empty holes ahead. I ran out of hints to say to my group... my riding partner told me it was his fastest 9 during the turn. #Shocking I joined a locals’ group who had tee times. $45 was not bad. Like always here, the grass coverage was end to end lush greens, fairways, teeing grounds and the roughs (ugh) so healthy thick! So thick that sometimes the ball would sit up top the grass making for a good lie, but not if it’s nestles down. Their greens conditions are some of the best I’ve played around the area that can be accessed by the public. I've played here a number of times and I'll say that the #11, & 12 are holes I’m not a fan of anymore. It’s out of place and out of character, I think, severely changing elevations and #11 does not make much sense to me. Never went in the pro shop, but I’m sure it’s fine like all other times, no beverage carts- which was okay. If I had to nitpick and be petty, the tee announcement was it. It goes on all day and can be heard at most holes you're at. But, I’m sure the members were okay with that. Fun place, overall.

Rode the Silvers (6301/70.4/121) with Gary, Elizabeth and Deelane mid day in 4H, 15M. $54 special off their website. The weather was in the low 60's, partly cloudy and breezy. My first time playing the Ted Robinson design that featured some nice elevation changes early on the back 9. Six par 3's, Five par 5's, unusual for a par 71 layout. The par 3's even from the next to back set of tees were 182/136/202/185/233/162. Not only demanding overall, but I think I used six different clubs with some playing down and some playing up. The course was in really nice bordering on immaculate condition across the board. The tees were lush and level. The tees are also huge, with plenty of room to rotate tee markers. The fairways were lush and played firm and fast. Best rough I have played out of in years. Uniform, really lush, thick, no bare spots. Looked like a high end lawn. The sand traps had nice, fine white sand and were very nicely maintained. Excellent greens, firm and medium fast with few ball marks. Downhill putts were treacherous. I saw the lines very well on these greens. Quick, efficient check-in. No drink cart, no GPS on the basic carts. All grass driving range. The layout will not wow you, but it is a very fun track with scoring opportiunities for good shots and enough trouble to catch off line shots to keep things interesting/fair. Constantly up/down hills, rarely a flat hole. Really spread out, would be a beast to walk. Definitely recommended.

I played a second round here last Saturday morning. What a difference with the lack of strong winds. The course is a nice mix of reachable par 5's, medium to lengthy par 3's and 4's. Stay out of the trees on the front nine to score well. A couple of holes there have lush forests of pines along the right side. It might look somewhat open, but it is thick. Holes 10, 11, and 12 take you across the street from the clubhouse and up across a high ridge. The drop shot on the medium par 3 12th hole was a punch 4-iron in the wind and an easy 7 iron without the wind. Again, the course is lush and nicely conditioned from tee to green on every hole. The only area that looked somewhat dormant is the large drainage area that runs between some holes on the back nine. You really can't see it and it doesn't normally come in to play unless you hit way right of your target. Part of it is used for their maintenance and practice facilities. We ate dinner in the clubhouse Friday night. The food was just okay and the drinks were sub-par; however, everything I got was covered by my hosts so I'm really not complaining. The Bunker Burrito I had on Saturday morning was just okay. The course personnel and members here are all friendly and everybody seems to know everybody. I recommend this course; wind or no wind.

Played here Friday afternoon as a guest of a member. This is one of the nicest conditioned courses that I have played in a long time. Everything from tee to green was emerald green and lush. We played the gold tees today; basically a combo tee which placed us up on the longer holes and back on the shorter holes. It was very windy this afternoon with steady winds from the southwest at about 25-30 mph. The wind did not detract from the playability of the course. The rough was consistent at about 1 1/2” in length. The fairways were lush and very nice to hit from. The greens had recently been micro-punched and a light top dressing of sand applied. It did not affect putts but approaches did not seem to check up as much as you would like. Not bad, though. Good pace of play at a little over 4 hours, despite the busy afternoon. I’m looking forward to another round tomorrow.
