Out on Friday 2/9 as a two-some joining another one. I like this course but haven't made to out here for about two years, this time meeting s buddy from Beaumont. The conditions overall were not flawless but pretty solid overall. Teeing grounds were mainly green, cut and level. Fairways had some occasional rough spots but they were mostly marked as GUR. Mostly it was good Winter lies and positive rollout. Rough varied but was mostly green, not too tough, occasionally thinner or bare. I was in one bunker and managed my escape. Not fluffy but not hard or unkempt. The greens ran at a good medium quick speed and were pretty clean but had some subtle and tricky nuances that weren't obvious, including the telltale volcano slope around some holes of a that was hard to see until the peeled off in the last foot. There are some quirky holes like the 9th and 11th, but mostly I like the course, its contoured nature and the views on certain hole are pretty nice, especially with the snowcapped mountains. The small driving range has grass but was limited to the synthetic strip along the back edge o the day. It was busy day and sluggish pace, so we got through 15 before quitting for lack of daylight. We did stop at the par-3 18 where I pulled out the glow balls to play it in the gloom. There are some pretty nice courses like the Goose and Oak Quarry in the general area and this is not them, but it's still interesting, fun, in reasonably good shape and a bit less expensive. It was beautiful day to be out even without finishing. Recommended.

Thought I'd leave a review of Jurupa Hills since there hasn't been one in awhile. Played Sunday morning at 10am. POP was just shy of 5 hours, which was primarily due to the guys in front of us spending more time drinking and hitting on the cart girl rather than playing golf. Pretty typical for a weekend round though. With that said, the course is in pretty darn good shape for all the weather we've had over the last few weeks. The grass on all the tees was very long, probably because they were unable to mow due the rain on Saturday. The fairways were also a little grown out but in decent shape. I recommend playing lift, clean and place like we did. They were rolling out a bit and the coverage was better than I had expected. The management did a good job of roping off a few areas where carts could not go to keep any damage from happening during the soft conditions. I was in a few bunkers that were pretty washed out and compacted, but actually raked which was nice. I'm sure they'll add some sand once spring comes around. The greens are in excellent condition with minimal divots. They did roll a bit slow and bumpy, from the rain on Saturday, but they look awesome. Once they are cut and rolled, they will be excellent for sure. The staff at Jurupa is always great. The VERY friendly cart girl was around frequently and the guy in the pro shop is always helpful. All in all it was a great day at Jurupa Hills on day one of daylight savings time. More time to golf is always a good thing!

Walked on as a single on a Sunday morning and was able to get out with the next group. Big plus there. However, the course is in poor condition everywhere outside the greens. Tee boxes barely had any grass. Fairways were dry and had a ton of brown/bald areas that they marked as ground-under-repair, but there were plenty of spots outside GUR that barely had any grass. Bunkers were OK, needed more sand and consistency. The green were lush and well watered. Quite spongy, on the slow side, and kind of bumpy. Saw the beer cart 3 times, which was great in this close to 100 degree weather.

Played Tues March 22nd at 7am, very friendly check in and great breakfast, they are punching the greens now 2 per day, one on front 9 and one on back nine. There was a sign at check in saying 7 and 18, as we played it was obvious other greens had been done earlier. Otherwise course in in good shape. We play here every Tuesday morning, driving range open, putting green and a chipping area and great breakfast.

Got out with Chuck (FirstFlightFX-101) on 1/12 as a twosome for a GK match at 11:45. I think this was my third outing here and I enjoy the general flow and contours of the layout. As to conditions, there was definitely a Winter element but it was still enjoyable. Teeing grounds were fine as to level and adequate coverage. The relative weak point would be the fairways on which, in addition to general tendency towards firm, thinner lies, there were areas hardpan and dirt — extensively on a couple of holes. There were areas of fuller lies but if you have issues with tight lies and take deeper divots, this may not be your course right now. That said, I have a shallower strike and mostly found my fairway lies acceptable and just played through it without much thought as I was focused on execution and my match. Chuck also seemed good with it although he had a couple of episodes in dirt areas on or just off fairway edges, so take it for what it's worth. Rough was rarely punitive and generally easy to play from. There is an abundance of trees lining most fairways and that is where the trouble lurked if you got off line. I missed the bunkers. Chuck was only in one but commented on the sand quality of it and played out well, so the limited experience there was very positive. The greens' surrounding rough was good for chipping, with the lead-up fairways and fringe fairly tight. I usually executed some form of putt at five or more feet from the green surface. The greens were in nice shape and fairly quick, frequently with some contour or slope to make it more interesting. Check-in was smooth, got a senior break on my fee, found some good grass to hit from on the range and the putting green was quick. Just past a wind advisory window, it was a perfect, mid 70's temperature day, starting with minimal breeze and dying to pretty much still through most of the round. Pace was good overall, slowing towards the end of the front nine and beginning of the back, but good otherwise. Although we did not avail ourselves of her services, the service cart woman came around often enough, always with a smile. Less than perfect conditions but enough to recommend it as an overall experience, we enjoyed it.

Great weather and good course conditions for our match at Jurupa Hills. The review and rating by Itslikeimsayin is spot on. The winds leading up and through TGiving, must have been incredible...but the course was in pretty good shape for us on Saturday. The traps were damp but very playable, and I only saw two with some standing water on hole one. I appeciate the natural grass range and chipping green. Good customer service, the drink cart appeared on the back nine, and the marshal was on duty. Thanks to Vic for setting this up, and thanks to Mark for having a match here. Reccomended.

Played a GK Cup match vs. FirstFlightFX-101 here this morning with a 7:24 tee time, joined by Chuck's friends Jimmy & Victor. Good times! Thanks for the invite, guys! $67 weekend rate with cart. Started right on time or maybe a bit early, and POP was good despite small waits on almost every tee. Finished in about 4:15. Conditions are really nice, highlighted by excellent greens. They're running medium-fast, very smooth and quite soft. Several of my short-iron approaches backed up. Fairways are mostly good but a little raggedy –clumpy and/or thin – in spots. A few areas of GUR in the fairways, too. Rough was mostly thin and not too penal with occasional bare spots and lots of tree debris. (Chuck and I each had instances of having a twig right behind our ball.) Blue tee boxes were a little beat up and seemed to have lots of divots, twigs and pine needles on many of them. I wasn't in any bunkers but they looked okay. It had been several years since I last played here. Beautiful morning and good times today. Definitely recommended with the greens in their current condition. If they offer a walking rate, I'd probably opt for that next time to bring the cost in better alignment with the course.

Played Tues Sept 28th at 645, I play here allot and they have a card that you pay for 9 rounds and get the 10th free. I agree $51 is a bit high here but with the free round it averages about $46. Greens 2 and 17 have been punched and were sanded, the others were very soft as they were watering and you can tell they will be punching them soon. Over all conditions were pretty good as we played the white tees. Allot of courses have something weird on a hole or two (power poles etc.) and you just learn to play around it. Doesn't bother me as I like the course. They have really good breakfast here. Carts are basic but reliable and good power. POP was 3:30 We will be back next Tuesday

Played today at a grueling 5 hour POP. Waited in mostly all holes after starting 15 minutes after booked tee time. #2 and #17 greens are fully topped with sand, looked like a beach. Some of the greens were bumpy and would not roll true. Some tee boxes were heavily divot damaged and had weeds growing. #9 and #17 had a power pole that you had to go around. Not worth the $51 for play.
