Played in a tournament early on Saturday, August 7, 2010. Started overcast but warmed up quickly, becoming warm, sunny, and not too windy. Usual conditions here - OK fairways, tees, very little rough - some fairways are very dry and coulfd use some water. Ironically, a long-term problem here is overwatering in some areas - some sloes and low areas are constantly mushy. At least the majority of greens don't go 'splat' when you pitch to them, like they did a few years ago. Greens were medium fast and held shots. Not too many unrepaired ball marks. New green on number one is a great addition - maybe they'll start redoing some of the other flat circles. Many new bunkers have been added over the past couple years - most could use more sand, as many are almost hardpan. Blue tees 7500 yards, so bring your big drive. No cart person - snack shack after 6 and 15. Needs more on-course restrooms - there aren't any that are reasonably close at the turn. Driving range on grass most days, and they've expanded the putting green, although with ~25 cups on it it looks like a dwarf forest. Starter still waits till you are in your backswing on the first tee to yell for you to get going - a Los Serranos classic. Recommended.
