Warning to others. Don't waste your money. Adding to other reviews, played on May 6. No mention of greens condition from staff before booking or playing, and they were in atrocious condition. Feel like this was intentional, and dishonest. This should have disclosed prior, with reduced rates offered, at the very least. Unplayable really. Barely a hint of grass on any of the greens, just a strangely colored sand/dirt surface. Stopped keeping score after first green. Worst greens I've seen on any usually good course. After the round, was told 8 weeks max to get the greens back. No way. A year maybe? Come on Arrowood. You screwed up. Come clean.

Major problem with greens which were created 3-4 weeks ago. Something went wrong with their process and the greens are in horrible, almost unplayable condition. I have played the course for years and never seen anything like this. Lots of sand and bumps on the greens. Not going to resolve itself anytime soon. Course should be offering discounted fees but they are not. Red not Green should be used to describe green conditions as of today May 3

played fri 11/21 and sun 11/23. friday rained all night and stopped around 9am, teed off at 11. cart path only, course a little soggy. greens slow and bumpy. Went back sunday where it had time to drain. 4 holes cart path only. Bunkers in decent shape. Greens had been mowed and rolled, I think. Still soft, but a bit faster... about a 10. I last played here maybe 20 yrs ago when they first opened, and I don't remember anything from then. Playing this weekend, I found the course to be fun and challenging... A few challenging driving holes, but mostly big landing areas. Greens big and undulating. The last 4 holes are labelled "The Quandary" and it's definitely the most challenging holes on the course, and most interesting as well. Course in decent shape considering all of the rain that's been happening. I could play here everyday... fun course.

Played Monday, July 7. Teetime 1:40pm. Greenfee $70 with cart. Good value I guess for this day and age.

Service was all fantastic. The main restaurant was closed for some reason, but they have an extended snack bar, beverage area by the awesome driving range now. Beverage cart was out and about, as well.

POP was excellent, under 4.5hrs.

Conditions were good for the most part, but not excellent. They're doing some work on the rough, like a verticut, in some places. Fairways were good, but there were some patches that were a little suspect and not in very good shape. Greens were all good, but once again not quite excellent. Some of them released shots a little more than expected, but if you came in with a short iron and hit it high enough with some spin it would check up, no problem. Sand was too fluffy in most of the bunkers. I found one bunker and it was fine, but most others had way too fluffy sand. My playing partners all had a fried egg at some point in the round. Tee boxes were level, no complaints.

Wish we arrived earlier to enjoy the "newer" range amenities. There's a great patio out there now and as mentioned previously a new bar area. Definitely recommend. The layout is awesome apart from hole 5, that's a stupid hole IMO. Just hit a 7 or 8 iron over the fairway bunker off the tee from now on, I'm done going for that green with a 3 wood as the fairway slopes so drastically away from the green towards the hazard on the right, it's not worth it.

Played Arrowood on 6/17/25. This course is almost always in great condition, and I must say I have never seen it better than today. Just outstanding all around. Greens were also being rolled as I played, so the speed was tough to figure. I am sure tomorrow greens will be at full speed.

The only curiosity was the return of the greenside bunker on #14. It used to be there, then it was removed and turned into a deep grass bunker. And now it has been rebuilt to a sand trap again. It was still roped off as ground under repair, but it looks like it will be ready for action any day now.

As always, the staff is top notch.

A great bargain with the Palm Card, but well worth it at rack rates (can't say that about many courses these days).

Higest recommendation! I'm even going with four exclamation points and a smiley !!!! :)

Played Friday 8/9. This 1st timer loved it. Beginning to end like a CC experience. Check in easy. We used a new up to 120 day advance booking system. It ran an extra $10, but worth it for a guaranteed Fri morning summertime tee time in N SD County ($120). About twice the rate of Oceanside or Marine courses nearby. IMHO worth it for the awesome conditions. Range; has track man avail, otherwise average. Carts; comfy with GPS. On time (9:30) start. POP; 4:20. Tee boxes; flat & well manicured. Kind of a high cut of grass. Fairways; Beautiful, lush plenty of run out. Some tight with others more wide open. Rough; Well manicured also. 2-3" some maybe little higher. Not killer, but a bit penal. Some "native areas" mostly red staked, canyon & scrub not conducive to finding a wayward shot. Signs warning of Rattlers. Beware. Greens; awesome other than some ball marks. Rolled med. Looked like faster than they were. Collar areas; really nice, a little too thick to putt off, but easy to pick a chip. Bunkers; Some deep greenside, great sand. Little harder fairway bunks, but enough sand to pick it clean. Restaurant was closed after the round for a memorial service. Since my buddy hit a wedge 30 yards over the 9th into the patio area it was probably best we couldn't go in... Snack shack near range, 1st & 10th tees was fully stocked bar, snacks & Gatorade ect. Cart girl was around twice. I will be back & of course recommend.

12/9 8 am tee time with a comfortable 4 hr POP. Fairways have good cover overall and are mowed fairly tight but with the underlying soft turf full irons and hybrids present no issues. There are some areas that have a proliferation of small clumps of grass. Recent newsletter reported plan to remove poa from fairways so that may be related. Rough is not long but stops forward roll and depending on how much the ball sinks in the shot is easy or requires more precision. Bunkers have ample sand. Tees are generally good with the par 3s needing some love.
Greens roll well medium fast and today pins were often place at the edge of the identified zone which added to the challenge.
New carts were arriving and we were required to switch out at the turn. Fancy and comfortable.

11/29 425 POP generally keeping up with 4 somes ahead and waiting on the par 3s and then about 10 min starting the back 9. Nice day partly sunny with a few gusts of 1 club wind on the last 4-5 holes.... Continue »

11/29 425 POP generally keeping up with 4 somes ahead and waiting on the par 3s and then about 10 min starting the back 9. Nice day partly sunny with a few gusts of 1 club wind on the last 4-5 holes. Fairways have ok cover and good cushion. Some random wet areas and more than a few unfilled divots. Lies were good with a few being rather tight but with the cushion still very playable. Fair amount of roll out. Rough cut to less than 2 in but sticky and would definitely stop forward roll. Bunkers were in good shape. Tees level but a few were thinnish mostly on the par 3s.
Greens were posted at 10.5 for speed and were fairly consistent. Greens were somewhat on the soft side and were receptive to well struck shots and consequently vulverable to pitch marks with a few unattended and some visible scars.
Greens still show some discolorization from aereation and also were a little bumpy on occassion. For whatever reason putts still seem to wander off right and left at the hole if not nearly dead center and sufficient pace.
good chipping area with a bunker and practice green that was a little slower and smoother than on course. Range has well cushioned mats. Carts are comfortable with interactive gps.
Friendly staff and smooth check in. Palm card still is a reasonable 300 for 5 plays M-TH.
