Played this course 10/30/2012 (snagged and EXCELLENT online price of only $25 for RStang06 (hubby) and I/tee time 12:23pm (4 hr round). Usually a $80 standard rack price. NOTE: They recently overseeded their rough/tee boxes (shaggy but playable). Fairways were very nice and rolled for days. Some soggy areas, but the course management had clearly marked each Hole with a "Cart Entry" Cart Exit" area; so basically you stay on the fairway til you exit/enter. Rouch was a good length (not kakoolia grass) and easy to get out of. Approx 3-4 inches. Nice course layout. However, Agree with what I read on an earlier review concerning the Greens....VERY FAST, and at 12:23 they were really beaten up with ball and shoe spike marks, so typical Par/bogey holes turned into double/triple bogey holes...very frustrating. Back 9 holes were certainly more ummmmm shall we say 'interesting/challenging' than the front 9 (2 major water hazards come into play). Nice practice facilities, chipping/putting/range w/matts. VERY Pleasant/Professional Pro Shop/Starter/Staff. No GPS on cart; but course has all the nice to have amentities (water/ball washers/trash receptacles and restroom facilities) I've found these amentities are always a given at all courses which is only reason I mention them in my review. I know most just want the technical facts. From a Ladies point of view, Overall I was very pleased with this course. Simply Gorgeous. Would certainly play again - and would even recommend a GK event there someday (if they get the Greens drawback remedied). Ooops forgot to mention Bunkers...inconsistent sand... certainly not like the practice bunker at the clubhouse. 2nd NOTE: When we turned in our cart, the young men indicated they would be mowing the tee boxes within the week (can't imagine them letting it grow too much longer - quite shaggy as it was on Tuesday!) Wind can also play a factor at this Oceanside locale. Would play this one again, especially at the great deal price we scored here.

Played on Sunday, Oct. 28 and found the course in decent condition. I used to play this course regularly a few years back and I have to say that the course conditions have diminished over the years. Don't get me wrong. The conditions on this day were decent....especially considering they were completing their overseeding process. They just used to keep it up much better before. The tee boxes needed to be mowed. The fairways were pretty good except that there were quite a few areas where the grass was either soaked or had standing water due to over irrigation. Bunkers were good with plenty of soft sand. My biggest gripe with this course are the greens. They seem to damage very easily. There were spike marks everywhere and unless you hit your putts firmly, they were not going to roll inline. Despite my complaints here, I will be back since I enjoy the course layout and the course was uncrowded. It also didn't hurt that I got a great rate through Golfhub.

My one complaint would be the greens, they were in very bad condition as far as ball marks. I got tired of fixing other players ball marks. I guess the people that play there think that some one else will come behind them an fix their marks. They really need to do some thing about this situation. The staff was awesome they got us out after we were late in getting there for our tee time. Would play there again when in the area.

The more I play this course, the more I enjoy it! Overall the course was in very nice condition. The greens had quite a few unrepaired ball marks, but still very very playable. The bunkers were excellent! Staff was perfect!

I find this course to be enough of a challenge to be enjoyable, but not so brutal that you feel beat up. With the exception of #16, none of the holes present any real trouble. Well designed and playable for all levels.

Played 9/27/12 730a. They're getting ready to punch the greens, so they're letting them get a little beat up. They were rolling really good for the most part. Sand was nice & fluffy, only in 1 though. Fairways were really good, did not find any bare spots at all. Rough was good and not very penalizing. Tee boxes were great, most of them level. Pro shop was great & very accommodating, make sure you ask for the SD resident discount. Overall a great place to play, I wish I lived closer, I would play here more often. Oh FYI, they don't have a liquor license, so they can't make mixed drinks, just beer & wine.

greens fairways and teeboxes were all a 7/10. Greens were medium/fast and receptive, fairways very lush.
Second time playing here and I seem to always score well. Two low 70's. Really enjoy this golf course and will be back soon. Great layout, not overly long and I hit several long irons off the tee.

Played as a twosome on Sunday at 9 am. We had a 3some in front of us and behind us so the course wasn't full but busy and while we did wait we still managed to finish in about 4 1/2 hours. The greens were pretty soft and I thought they were going to be faster but they probably just a little bit slower than what you'd think. I think they still rolled pretty good. Because they were soft there were quite a bit of ball marks but for the most part I thought they had been repaired but because they were so soft there would be brown spots thoughtout the greens. This was just a visual observation, like I said I think the greens rolled pretty good. The fairways are pretty good too. I had a couple of lies in the rough that the ball settled pretty good in there and was forced to layup as a result. The other part of the rough is the brush which if you're in its a goner. Staff was great out there. I always enjoyed this course, I just wished it was a little closer to me but this is one I'd keep in my rotation.

Played yesterday 7/22. First time playing this course, got on for a great deal of 22 bucks at 3. Customer service was great. Wonderful putting and chipping greens, as well as a nice driving range. Course was in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways, and rough were all near perfection. The greens were covered in ball marks however. It is unfortunate, as previous reviews said that the greens are thin and the ball marks really ruin the greens. The layout was tough but nothing too crazy. Would play again, but I really wish they could do something about the greens.

Played this Sunday in a tournament (that I won)... The course is in standard Arrowwood condition which is great. Fairways look great and same with the rough. Ball marks are tough to fix on the greens...Due to elevation changes and thin greens (I love their greens) the ball doesnt plop onto the green, instead it skips a bit and spits pieces of green shrapnel everywhere... how do you fix that divot?
