Played Sunday, 3/10, teetime 7:20am. Walking, I think it was $60, POP was 4hrs. CPO on the front nine, the place is a soaked disaster, especially to walk with my pull cart. Super muddy betweent tees and fairways. Stupid drainage ditch that cuts off just about every fairway on the front nine and it plays as a lateral hazard. I hadn't been here in about 15yrs and found the ditch 3 times with perfectly struck shots, I just didn't know the yardages properly. Oh well, it'll probably be another 15yrs before I return.

Teeboxes were ok, no complaints, we played from the whites. They were level with decent coverage. Fairways were in ok shape, super wet and patchy. Guys I were playing with were playing lift clean and place, for good reason. Bunkers were soft for about one inch of sand and then hard pan, oh well, to be expected with all this rain we've had. Avoid these bunkers. Rough was thick and juicy, lots of clover and weeds, you had to be right on top of your ball to find it. Greens were about the only saving grace of the course. They were in good shape and held shots very well. No beverage cart and no frills clubhouse. The back nine is super fun, wish the front wasn't so quirky. I wouldn't fully recommend at this time, maybe give it a few weeks to dry out. I didn't think the $60 walking rate was worth it, either.

Played here 8/6/21. Friday afternoon golf at the trails is slow, but for the price with the players club it’s hard to beat. The fairways at trails are always questionable at best with a lot of bad lies but I like the challenge and I know when I play here that nothing is going to be perfect so I just roll with it. Greens are soft and slow, but hey it’s trails so that’s ok. Shorter course with a few funky short par fours. Been playing here for years and if I’m looking to get a quick cheap round of golf in this is the best course to do it on.

Played here on 10/03. For the greens being punched 2 weeks ago, they were in surprisingly good shape and receptive to well struck shots. Quite a few muddy and water logged areas on the course though. That rough is punishing too! All in all a fair course if you keep your ball in play. Will be back in a few weeks.

Nor did Greenskeeper.org who had called just last week. serous lack of communication. Now review back 9 just ok T boxs shaggy and beatup . Fairway 6/10, Greens 8/10 over all just a 6.5/10. Not in a hurry to go back. Also big beef with the Players Club no discount if with your from another course. You pay Rack rate. I play here weekly and the course has been in great shape (for what it is - a muni) for the past few months. Greens are really quite good - soft, smooth and relatively fast. Fairways are mostly lush and playable with a handful of spots that are bare/GUR. There's been improvement in the tee boxes lately and I'd rate them as average at this point. Rough is fairly short and thin, with many large stretches of hardpan once you get into the deep rough. It's a walkable course and a nice setting nestled between Cowles Mountain and Lake Murray. The back nine is especially scenic (holes 11-13) and plays along Lake Murray for stretches. Overall the course is in probably the best shape I've ever seen it in, so now's the time to get out and give it a shot.

I have not played at Mission Trails in over a year. I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course, the greens were in very good condition, some of the fairways were being repaired, so there is an effort being made by the golf couse management to improve the playing conditions. The cost for a round of golf for a senior is $29 which is fantastic. I will be back again.

I have been playing here for years, 1 or 2 times a month but the drought is really getting to this course. T boxes are impenetrable, Fairways are rock hard and dying for water. Greens are fair to middlin. If you don't hit the middle of the fairway your ball will roll out forever as the rough is hardpan. You don't have to bother to clean your clubs as you rarely take a divot. Sorry I like this course but I wont be back for a while till they put some water on it. Overall 5/10 don't bother, play elsewhere !
