In the mood for any course shorter than yesterday’s Los Lagos, I decided on one of my favorites. I’ve played here many times, both before and after the renovation, and just realized I’ve never posted a review – oops! . I was paired with another single and we started on time at 7:15. There didn’t seem to be many people around. We realized later that there were players all over the course but the spacing was good. No waiting anywhere.

This course has everything - good customer service, a very fun layout, is (almost) always in really good shape, and is fun to walk. It’s short with only four par 4s but there are some good hills. There is a nice variety of holes with either tees or greens elevated and dog legs on two of the par 4s. There are huge trees everywhere and water on the first hole.

Conditions today were in the ‘almost really good’ category. The tee boxes were badly chewed up. It didn’t affect play but it’s just not so nice to look at. The bunkers were filled with dark brown soft dirt that was very nice to hit from. Visually, I really liked the contrast in colors against the beautifully green fairways. The greens were soft, smooth and rolled true. The bad part was the course was so wet! The rough, in parts, was suck-your shoes-off marshland. There were a lot of areas marked GUR and a lot more that should have been. The tenth fairway was spongy wet but still played nicely. We just couldn’t figure out why there were two maintenance guys out watering on the back nine.

POP was perfect at 3 hours. I always enjoy it here and will keep it as one of my go-to courses.

As part of the promotion for playing St Mark, we were entitled to a free replay. The staff allowed us to us it on the executive course, so immediately after finishing the "big" course we drove over to the "little" course and were on the tee within minutes. Great customer service from both courses.

I had never played this course. I found it to be absolutely charming. The course is pretty, the holes, while short are interesting, and the routing is excellent. The greens were even better than at St Mark. They were faster, and rolled true. The only negative was the tee boxes, which as you might imagine were badly chewed up. Given all the wedges used, not surprised by this.

If you have not played this course, I highly recommend it. It's fun, attractive setting, and does not take long to play. There should be more of these courses available.

Played here 9/30 for the first time and I was very impressed with this executive course. Loved the greens on this course, smooth and speedy. Kudos to the greens keepers at St. Mark. Very rarely you find a course you and your wife can play that you both enjoy. Hope they keep up the good work. Will be back soon.

Booked a "super twilight" 4:30 round here last Saturday 8/8 on Golf Now. Great price, $19 with cart, but the first red flag should have been that tee times were scheduled 8 minutes apart. Never played here before but it became apparent as soon as I showed up that it was packed with beginners. That's fine, I love that new people are learning to play golf, but this course was WAY overbooked. After checking in and waiting 10 minutes for the group in front of me to tee off (they were waiting for group on 1st green), I got impatient and had to go to the 4th hole where I joined a single. He walked off the course a few swings later saying he couldn't wait anymore.
I finished at dark, 3 hrs to play 14 holes on an executive. Brutal. Had to wait on every hole, almost every swing. Terrible course management by St. Mark.
Overall, the course is in decent shape. It was a little wet that day, not sure why, but the greens are good and the tee boxes are meh. Good value, I would recommend the course overall I just highly recommend AGAINST going the Saturday afternoons for twilight.

I played the "Little Course" at St. Mark's on Friday, teeing off around noon as part of a tournament.

I have never played here before and I have to say, it's a great spot! They have a new clubhouse that it is really cool, offering a nice place to grab food (we had these little pancake hush puppy things that were insanely good) and a killer list of canned/bottled craft beer (lots of taps going in soon as well as wine license). They also have a golf simulator inside the restaurant, which I didn't try but looked like a lot of fun.

They have apparently done extensive improvements on the golf course, from cart paths to tee boxes to just overall landscaping. It really shows that the new ownership here is committed to creating a fun. quality experience.

As for the course and conditions, I thought they were really, really good. It's a par 58, so you get only four Par 4's, but all four were really cool holes and the rest of the course offers some pretty good variety, however it seems that the majority of the holes are somewhere in the 100-110 range.

Because of the shortness of the holes, there was some divot damage on the tees, but I never had a problem finding a good, level lie to hit from and I did notice that people did a good job filling their divots with sand.

The greens were a bit on the slow side, but rolled very well. They were obviously healthy and held shots very well. I assume that if they wanted to speed them up they could, but it makes sense not to have rock hard, fast greens on a course like this.

I'm a little upset that I've lived about 10 minutes from this course for 10 years and this is my first time playing here. With the new clubhouse, the course layout and conditions, the fantastic people running the show and the great prices, this one is going in my rotation for a quick, fun round of golf.

Stopped by here after playing the "big course" To be honest I found this little course rather charming and interesting. Overall condition was much better than the "morning course" The only problem was they are totally redoing the tee boxes, so many of the holes had the markers well infrom of the "forward markers" (potitically correct - right)

The golf course was packed with people, so the pace of play was at a snails pace. But the weather nice and it was like sitting in a parklike setting, so it's all good. Great customer service !

This was my final stop today. I booked on GN to save a few bucks. It was $12 to walk or $18 with cart in the afternoon, so I took the cart option. They are building a new pro shop/clubhouse here, so there's just a temporary trailer up and the parking lot is cramped with a lot of construction stuff. I teed off by myself around 2:00, but joined another single. We played through a couple groups on the front and were stuck behind a threesome on the back, but all 18 still only took around 2 hours. The course conditions were good overall. The tee boxes were mostly good, but some of the short holes were pretty chewed up. For the most part, the course looks pretty green and lush throughout, but a little weaker when you look close-up throughout fairways and rough. Still, well above average for an executive course this time of year. Greens were pretty nice. Very soft and the poa was, as expected, a little bumpy late in the day, but the surfaces were well maintained. I wasn't in a bunker and there aren't too many on the course to begin with. I was pleasantly surprised with this course. Fun 18-hole executive layout with some changes in elevation and nice greens. Four short par-4s and then a mix of par-3s ranging from 80 to 144 yards. Seems that whatever efforts they've made to restore/rebrand the big course here are also going into the short course, so that's good to see.
