Played in the late afternoon on Thursday, 7/31/08, on a hot, sunny, breezy day. Resort-style course was almost deserted so went around without delays. Wasn't distracted by ongoing jet traffic from nearby airport. Course condition was very good - greens were aerated about 3 weeks ago and you could still see evidence of holes, but greens were smooth and pretty quick, esp. downhill. Course is visually attractive with some elevation change, not too long and generally without severe penalty if you hit it straight. Water on many holes. Staff was very friendly throughout - including bag drop and guy setting up our cart - cart girl came by a couple times on the front 9, cabana at the turn was open at least until 6PM, and pro shop guy came out at 8PM when we finished to ask how we liked the course and invited us back! Highly recommended.

Overall a challenging golf course as the fairways are narrow, and if you're off the fairway you face having the ball quite a ways above or below your feet. The course was in good shape and the greens were fast. Pin placement today was challenging, with most being on the side of a fairly steep downhill. Most of the greens were nowhere near the flat, and the greens, while large, presented themselves with a lot of undulations.

Played on Wednesday, July 23. They had just punched/sanded the greens the night before. No mention in the Aeration Alerts. Course was great and the greens were not that bad. They were soft and held the line pretty well but they were still sanded.

played on 6-4. didnt really enjoy it as much as i thought. Layout was quite boring to me. Some holes were quite similar in distance and appearance.Dont get me wrong, there are some nice holes, but for the price i expected more. Noise was also a big factor of the course. Freeway on one side of the golf course and the airport on the other side. Planes flying by every minute.
Course conditions was one thing i expected bali hai to have, but greens was recently punched and seems that some fairways also have been punched. It didnt state that on the website or on greenskeeper.org. Give it about a month for it to recover.

Great Course Conditions. Hills and Mounds throughout course makes it a challenging layout. Greens are in Great Shape and rolling true.Course is in Better Shape than Royal Links which I played the Day After Bali.

A diamond in the rough. Just minutes from your Las Vegas Strip hotel. Offer great twilight rates and if you show up early, they usually can get you out. Golf range was short but I liked the automatic tees.

Played this course on 04/13/07. We had a 1:30pm tee time for $99. Course was perfect, as was the customer service. Greens were aerated the week before, but were still decent to putt on. Bali Hai offers caddies and forecaddies. If you never had the opportunity, I suggest the forecaddy program. Those guys hustle around the course for you. Suggested tipping is $25 per player in the foursome. They repair your divits and ball marks, give you tips on how to play the hole, and spot your ball down the course. I don't think I would pay full price for this course, but for $99, absolutely!

Played Sat. 06/17/2006. First off the entire staff and service here is great. First class the whole way through, from the moment you drive up till the momment you leave. Conditions, and I repeat the conditions on the course were excellent. Course is very well maintained and lush. The layout needs a lot of help but they are confined to the amount of land they have. NO driving range, instead they have a 50 yard by 50 yard driving net. Kinda stinks but again they are confined to the amount of land they have. Only cool thing about their driving NET is their automatic ball tee. The layout was a little boring, except for the par 3's, I felt like I was in the twilight zone playing the same holes over and over and over... They have 7-10 holes that feel very similar and layed out right beside each other. Again, confined to the amount of land they have. Airport is right across the street so it gets loud every 10 minutes. After the first couple fly by's you get used to it. For the amount they charge I would not go back. I paid summer rate which is less so prime rates would make this place even less worthwhile. The thing is, it's right on the strip. There are plenty of great Vegas golf courses for the same cost or even less, just a short drive away. It was good to experience this course but I found out all I needed to find. Staff improves this course a few notches, their service makes you numb to the layout. I'm trying to find excuses to make it worth playing again or even for the first time and can only come up with, they don't have enough land, they're on the strip and the service was superb. Still, I just can't convince myself.

very nice course, avg price for vegas golf. conditions are great, course is well maintained. one drawback is that the close proximity to the airport means you have planes flying overhead on some shots. not much of a distraction if you're playing well but... nothing negative to say about the course or service. played there a couple of times, once, they had some charity deal with playmates. wasn't part of the charity but you can see bunnies all over the course.... was playing great until the distractions. but well worth it.

Played on a Sunday morning and got a great rate (for this course) $199. Proximity to the strip and conditions made this a good deal. Nice track with some holes being a bit too similar to one another. I'd play again at this price. There are better values but it was a nice ending to a great trip.

They keep this course in excellent condition and the staff is incredibly attentive, highly professional, and really does go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and well-treated. That said, this course is located directly across the street from the McCarran International Airport, so it's VERY noisy, and it is packed in on a small plot of ground. Frankly, it's not worth even half of what they charge to play it in my view. Go with someone who's paying your way, go on a corporate outing, or find a way to get some other kind of discount.

Bali Hai is an amazing golf course, although the overall value leaves something to be desired. There is a cool driving range area though!
