Played in the late afternoon Wednesday, 5/28/08 to get the twilight rate on a sunny, windy day with moderate temperatures. As per previous posts, greens here are still very good, a little soft today, but rolled very well without being crazy fast. All other aspects of the course very good. Rough was just deep enough and sticky enough to make club selection and proper contact important. No cart girl today, but course was not crowded on a midweek afternoon. Recommended.

This course was in magnificient condition from tee to green. the only drawback is that the holes are pretty straight.

Played in the late afternoon on Thursday, 10/25, on a warm clear day with no wind. Course came out of their overseeding about 4 weeks ago. Conditions are very good with smooth, fairly fast greens that are a little firm. Rough is not very long. Bunker conditions good. Some green fringes are still a little ragged. Saw the cart girl only once, on the front side. Pace of play on the back nine hampered by group in front playing from the back tees where they didn’t belong. A maintenance guy on a tractor distributing fertilizer chased us up every hole on the back, with no thought to distractions. Overall recommended.

5+ hours with a 45 minute delay in the starting tee time....unacceptable. The fairways are barren as they are planning to overseed in 10 days but no discount on the rate and no warning when making the tee time. The greens were in pretty good shape although only medium in speed. Can't recommend at this time. Ask about the condition of the course when making your tee time. Not a great experience this time.

Played Monday, 6/18/2007 in the late afternoon. Still the best greens I've seen in the Vegas area on courses open to the public, and other playing conditions were very good. No cart girl at this time, so the course needs to put out more water. Stay out of the caliche rough areas!! Recommended.

Played this course on 3/30/07. Course was in great shape and the greens are as good as they say. Had a 2:00 twilight time for $79 and got all 18 in no problem. Staff was great. I highly recommend this course. It is a little tight and a lot of balls end up in the rocky desert bordering the holes but this course allows you to hit out of the desert areas - so definitely bring an old 5 iron to hit out or you will tear up the bottom of your good clubs on the rocks. Lots of fun and look forward to playing again.

Played Saturday morning at 10:30AM, 11/11/06, on a windy, cold day. Hadn’t played here in 12 years but heard the course was in good shape for an American Golf-managed layout. Course exceeded my wildest expectations – friendly service everywhere, started on time with no big backups, cart girl came by frequently. Was most impressed with the course condition – these are the best greens I’ve seen in the Vegas area this year – lush, firm, rolled perfectly, very quick but fair. Most are fairly small, so iron play is important. Fairways and tees were also in great shape, and sand traps were great and had even been raked! Course plays through an attractively landscaped housing area and is not overly long, but a nice mix of holes, and setbacks put houses well out of distraction range. Between the rough and the housing are (often extensive) waste areas that are primarily desert vegetation and caliche-rock hardpan that’s in play, but you don’t want to play from there, believe me! Most holes have ample fairway/rough hitting areas. Some small negatives – driving range poorly marked (but was on grass this day), no yardage book or GPS (but sprinklers are fairly well marked), no club cleaner on the cart. Ranger could have done more to move the slow group in front of us. Overall, highly recommended for course condition and pleasant experience. A big ‘attaboy’ for AG in this location, who I usually am not enthusiastic about.

Finally, an American Golf supervised course that does things right!
Guys, the greens looks thick, but it is NOT slow. Seldom bumpy, but it rolled true and very playable. The fairways runs good, the roughs are not tough, but the layout can be tricky with its mounds bunkering. Plenty of wastelands on both sides of the fairways for those shotgun type shots, but the course can easily be scored with some careful placements as it isn’t that long. Homes, homes and more homes along the whole course, but it isn’t ridiculously tight. This is not a bad track for my first time, it’s a good-good thing.
Thanks,
_n.

Played on 9 Jul for local rate of $39. Course is in average to good shape. Several bare spots in the fairways, which seemed to lack the lushness of the better courses in town. Bunkers were like sand boxes in some areas. Greens were soft but on the slow side. One of the course workers mentioned that they need to keep the greens somewhat long due to the heat. Nice course set up and fun to play. Nice to see mature trees lining the fairways (rare in LV area). Need to hit the ball straight off the tees to score well. A pretty course that needs some TLC. Pace of play was excellent (3 1/2 hours). Would recommend for the locals rate of $39.

cilla - Mililani, Hi
Golfed this course with my buddy on 10/17. What a beautiful course! Everything was in superb condition. It was cloudy and drizzily from time to time but the course stayed in great playing condition. The course is somewhat tight but fair with several water holes. Highly!! recommend this course to all.

I REALLY ENJOYED PLAYING THIS COURSE. IT IS VERY FAIR TO ANY LEVEL OF GAME. IT RUNS THROUGH TRACK HOMES AND IS WELL LAYED OUT. FAIRWAYS AND ROUGHS ARE WELL GROOMED AND THE ROUGH IS PLAYABLE. GREENS ARE WELL MANICUREDAND GIVE YOU A TRUE ROLL, BUT REMEMBER THE BREAK IS TO THE STRIP.
PACE OF PLAY IS VERY GOOD, PLAYERS ARE WELL PACED OUT. WORTH A VISIT.
