Got out here at 3:30 right before they closed and he would only charge me the nine hole rate which was $30 vs $49. It seems none of the courses in the area have twilight rates and regular rates seem to be on the high side. I don't know when the season is down here but all the courses were a little on the spotty side as well as a lot of dormancy. I played through 2 groups and played the front in 40 mins, so I just kept going. I liked the course it was in decent winter shape. The greens were medium fast, the traps were OK and I didn't have any bad lies in the dormant fairways. I thought it was a fun layout with some nice mountain views (with snow). Course was better than the reviews I read but probably not worth the full rack rate.

Two course notes, did the Laughlin trip past 4 days played the El Rio and Los Lagos each twice...El Rio is holding up real good, greens very good, fairways have some dirt spots but most are playable. Los Lagos is hurting, greens were in bad shape looks like they are trying to save them by letting them get long worst shape I have ever seen at Los Lagos??

Found myself with wife in Laughlin. After going to Oatman decided to play some golf.
I played here once soon after they opened. Paid $45 with cart and teed off just after 1pm.
Ran into no one in front of us. Its in the desert, but you would be hard pressed to ever hit a ball in it. Will be surrounded by home at some point, so it will have condo golf feel.
Played whites and it played pretty short. Most tees were way up. Condition wise good with one exception. The greens were quite slow as the had been top dressed sand. Didn't see any holes just sanded. Problem is the sand had big enough pebbles to kick you ball off line. I would walk my line and get the big ones out of the way. Didn't always succeed. Some tees had been over seeded and looked like they had not been mowed recently. Not a big issue if you tee it higher. Sand was fine little thin and some rocks. Fairways and roughs were not over seeded but still green. Rough was short but thick.
Not an overly hard course if you hit the ball fairly straight. Wife loved all the animals out there. Would play again.

Got so itchy to get out that I made the long drive to Fort Mohave just outside Bullhead AZ to meet some friends for a round. Covid adjustments include allowing you to take separate carts if you wish (not mandatory), removing rakes in bunkers, and putting a foam ring inside the cup to bounce your ball off. Los Lagos is a typical Ted Robinson design -nice friendly course with wide fairways that make it very playable but with some challenges presented by scenic water features plus mounding and bunkers arouond the greens. Fairways and teeboxes were in good shape, albeit thin in spots. Greens were very slow, but it looks like its because they are transitioning to the hot summer season. Surprisingly undulating for lack of speed. Some water hazards are not visible from the tee and losing a ball on my best drive of the day was a bit frustrating-so pay attention to the cart mounted GPS screen. (Sorry I don't remember which one) Grill and cart service was friendly, but selection was limited-only chicken wings or hotdogs today. Good value at $49 on a Saturday morning. Just over a 3 hour drive from home in the 909, but no traffic and it wasn't unpleasant to get out on the open road after being home so much recently. Not a perfect setup, but compared to zero golf for me these days I was grateful to be able to get out on a nice sunny day.

Played May 28 & 29 about noon for 30 pre summer rate in low 90's with light breeze. Was lightly populated with most locals out early and done. Course was in nice condition with smooth greens accepting shots but a little slow (few marks), green fairways sat ball up nicely with a couple areas roped off ground under repair, yellowing short rough & OB and traps okay but pebbley. In two traps both good sand but removed several 1/2" pebbles first. Patrick was great in clubhouse even checked GPS cart had ice in chest and my 19th hole beverage got an orange slice! Fun Ted Robinson design will play again when in area.

Played on 4/7/2018 This course is in very good condition. The fairways are very good as are the greens. The greens roll smooth and true. The rough can be very penal because in a lot of places there are Gazania flowers along the edges And they swallow the ball(no kidding) As with all the courses in the area the bunker sand is a mix of hard packed sand and pebbles. This course is a lot of fun to play and customer service is great. Free range balls if you are playing that day and that's always nice. Tee boxes were level and pace of play was right at four hours. They are doing clubhouse renovations right now but looks like they will have them completed soon. If you get a chance add this course to your agenda if you are playing golf in the area. You will enjoy!!

Played Los Lagos on our final day in Laughlin/Bullhead on Sunday Nov 15th. Early tee time once again as the sun rose over the eastern hills. only a few cars in the parking lot, so we had the course to ourselves, complimentary range balls. Pro Shop is very nice with a nice grill that wasnt open yet. Pro Shop Manager was kind enough to give us Casino rates even though we were staying in a condo on the river. We just hit a couple warm up balls and were then joined with Vick (Local player) as we were only a twosome for this day. Vick was a pleasure to play with and He had a rangefinder that helped out tremendously as their is no GPS on the carts and my Iphone app didnt pick up with the course. Vick helped out by advising which side of the fairways to play and greens. Course is basically Laughlin Ranch conditions but easier to play. Course has homes and empty lots surrounding the course. The fairways were green and lush, tee boxes perfect, bunkers thin as we are used to in the I.E. and greens were very firm and a touch slow but smooth. I really hope this course gets more play as it needs to survive, so if you journey to Laughlin area, you need to include this course in your weekend. Two courses down the road have some problems that will take a long time to fix. So play Laughlin Ranch and Los Lagos for a weekend and you will be very happy with that decision

Sorry for the late review. Played this course 6/6/14 @ 7:20 a.m., while on our bi-annual trek to Laughlin. Temps this day reached a dry heat/pleasantly breezy/sunny 104. Coolers on each cart. No GPS. A couple water stations throughout. I don't recall seeing ball washers on the carts or throughout the course, so be sure to wet your towel. Beautiful fully equipped clubhouse. Driving range/practice green were great; BUT the practice bunker was Horrible (full of rocks - which we found indicative of the bunkers out on the course!) Two Thumbs Down for the Bunkers! :( Tee boxes and fairways were EXCEPTIONAL!!!, green, and in stellar condition. Rough directly off the fairway was very playable. BUT, stray from the beautiful fairways/rough, and you'll be lucky to find your ball from the flowers/desert shrubbery. This is certainly one of my fav courses in the Bullhead City area. We got a decent rate as we were staying at one of the hotel/casinos across the river (played for $45 w/cart) Fairways are a little tight and long hitters need to plan their shots carefully, taking the winds that are typical for these courses, into careful consideration. Pace of Play was AWESOME...almost as if we had the course all to ourselves. A twosome went out in front of us (they wanted to play just the two of them...no worries), and within 3 holes they were gone! Greens were a little confusing as they looked like a combination of two types of grass?? A green/brown, criss cross grain? Rolled pretty true though - Not a lot of ball marks. Somewhat hard/firm, and balls could easily hit on/roll off the back if too aggressively addressed. Medium/Fast Speeds. Overall for summertime...this course didn't disappoint. Reasonable rate/Great customer service, nice practice area, and beautiful clubhouse. A must play while in the area. Love Love Love this course.

9:30 tee time on a Wednesday morning, 4-1/2 hour round. Course had six each of par 3's, 4's, and 5's, staring with back-to-back par 5's. Fairways and tee boxes are in excellent shape, greens were good except for the morons who don't repair their pitch marks. Sand in some traps was dry and fluffy, a bit coarser and wetter in others. Few bare spots to be found. Overall a great value.
