I love GK events. Thank you Johnny and Mojave Resort Golf Club for hosting!

This was the first time I played this course and enjoyed it.

The driving range is very close to the club house and the cart staging. You can very easily load up your cart, get a snack, practicing your putting and driving all in the same area. I find this extremely convenient because I don't warm up, but others may chose to. At Mojave, everyone is happy.

I found the course to be tougher than I thought. I wasn't a fan on how close the holes were to each other and often found other golfers and myself, being in someone else's way.

The carts don't have GPS, but do have USB and coolers. They were in decent shape and plenty powerful.

If I'm in the area, I would consider playing here again.

First time at a GK event and it will definitely not be my last one. Used to visit Laughlin and the Mojave Resort fairly regularly but that was 15 years ago. So was excited to make a return a visit. Sadly conditions weren't the same as they were 15 years ago. I enjoy this layout, but there are more houses encroaching than there used to be. In the past conditioning was close to pristine, this time I would call it okay, not quite to good. Tee boxes okay, not great. Fairways good, but some thin lies. Rough non-existent dormant Bermuda that was frequent very thin and would not stop balls from heading astray. I felt the greens were in nice condition, but not overly quick. All staff encountered were friendly and cart lady was by multiple times on each 9. Range balls were included and grass range was okay if not a little thin.

Would I recommend this course? For the $55 that we paid I felt I received fair value. However, for my dollar I would prefer to play Laughlin Ranch twice unless I knew Mojave Resort was in stellar condition.

Keep it in the short grass.

GK event last Saturday. What a great day: beautiful weather and good course conditions. We were in the first group out and, due to some cancellations at the course prior to our event, we were sent out a little early. Nice winter conditions with overseeded fairways and dormant Bermuda rough making for a nice contrast of color.

We played the combo Gold/White tees. They were all level and had good coverage of overseeded Bermuda. Lush at times with occasional divots. I never had to search for a decent place to tee from.

The fairways were great to hit from except for the occasional tight lie. There were sand/seed bottles on the cart.

The rough was good to hit from as well. It was dormant Bermuda and although it appeared to be mown tight, there was a good root base to give some cushion.

The greens were very nice. They rolled quick and true. Not too fast but enough to keep you on your toes for those downhill putts. I thought the greens were on the firm side, but I did fix a few small ball marks here and there.

The bunkers looked nice; however, they almost all had small rocks in them. I swear they had someone pick up a load of sand from the Colorado river, lol. Maybe it's just the liners were worn out or non-existent. At any rate, I would say the bunkers were not as nice as they could be. The pebbles were small enough to not cause too many issues.

Overall, I thought the course was nice. The clubhouse is on the old side and feels dated. There's a nice wood deck patio outside that we enjoyed after the round. The course personnel were friendly and helpful. The golf carts had coolers and ice in them when we arrived, and the starter had our carts lined up and ready well in advance of our tee times.

Played here on Saturday, 2/19 as part of the GK Event. Course was great as were the staff.

Facilities: Grass range available with practice balls out there waiting for you. There were plenty of space open and available. Balls were of good quality and not many duds/really scuffed balls.
Practice green and chipping area available as well. Practice greens were similar to on-course.

Tee Boxes: Tee Boxes were nice, no major issues that I came across.

Sand: Some rocks here and there, so be careful.

Fairway: Was nice and pure, just stick to the fairway and youll be good to go. Grass was really nice and full all around the course.

Greens: Really firm, tough to get anything to stick or check for you, but roll was good as was health of greens.

They did have a beverage cart going around the course which was great. Typical snack-shop food at the turn, hotdogs and burgers, beers and sodas.

Pace of play was great as well. I would highly recommend playing here.

While visiting family this week in Bullhead I was able to get out and play Mojave Resort early in the morning on Monday and Tuesday, teeing off around 6 or 6:30 each day. Conditions are really good, especially considering how hot it gets here. Greens rolled really nicely with just the occasional bump at a medium speed. They’re pretty firm, I found that my shots weren’t making very deep pitch marks, and any club longer than an 8 iron or so would release a fair bit for me. Fairways gave lots of roll out, and provided a really nice surface to hit from. Rough wasn’t too long and not really a penalty. Tee boxes were solid as well. Bunkers are greatly improved compared to when I was here last a couple of years ago. Splash shots near the greens are possible now, and the fairway bunkers really are a penalty, if you don’t pick it clean you’ll pay. Getting out early made the pace real quick, we got around in about 3:30 as a threesome both days. There’s a nice grass driving range to warm up(included with the green fee), and a good practice green that matched the course greens pretty well. Service in the pro shop and at the bar was excellent. If you’re in this neighborhood and ready to play some golf I really don’t think you can do any better.

The forecast for the week was 115+ but glad I brought my sticks to Bullhead City/Laughlin anyway. Was able to get out for early round Tuesday at GK supporter Mojave Resort Golf Club. They won’t be aerating the greens until July and despite the scorching heat of the past week, the golf course was in very good summer (Bermuda turf) shape. Finished in 2 ½ hours playing as a single. Such a fun layout I enjoy more every time I play it.

Greens running smooth, medium speed and firm. Fairways lush with some dry patches here and there. Rough was NOT as long as the last time I played in the Summer which was appreciated for sure. It too was mostly lush with some dry patches. Greenside bunkers in very good shape as their bunker renovation/replacements continues with a focus on the fairway bunkers now. Tee boxes which I witnessed being re-sodded in last year look/play excellent now.

Take a look at the photos I posted. Cool to view them and compare of how the golf course looks in the winter/spring of past photos. Great rate to play there for out of town players $49 includes cart. Locals it’s even less. With nearby Huukan closed for the Summer, Laughlin Ranch about aerate the greens, right now Mojave Resort Golf Club is certainly the best option. Highly Recommended.

Played 6/17. Teed off 10am. About 108 degrees. First they do not have water on the course to drink. The carts have a small ice chest that they will fill with ice. Also got a couple of cups with ice. Played white tees pop was at 2 1/2 hours waited every hole from seven onward. They were a threesome and played pretty fast as I was playing as a single. White tees look like they were recently sodded. They were a little uneven a little thin, but nothing to complain about. Fairways were a little brown and thin in a lot of spots. Hey its 120 so we will give them a break. Bunkers were a little crusty, but they were working on them! Quite a few bunkers had been filled in with sod, but good Lord there are still a lot of them. Rough was good thin in spots. Greens were excellent. Undulating but not crazy. They were not hard, but saw zero ballmarks. Probably a first for me anywhere. It took me half the round to figure out play about a third of the break you see and you'll make putts.Love the Green complexes with the humps and swales. Overall very impressed by this course. Usually play Laughlin Ranch which is more money and a little more wow, but Mojave is a solid golf course.

Surprise! I didn't expect such a nice course to be found in Laughlin, but Mojave Resort exceeded my expectations in every way. Conditions were superb and the greens fees were very affordable for us Southern Nevadans.
The greens were extremely hard (no ball marks all day!) and smooth. Quick enough to putt and not have to"hit",with a handful of tricky putts that were still by no means unfair- a better green reader might see the subtleties I didn't. I loved them even though I didn't make anything. *sigh*
The fairways were very nice, the Winter dormant bermuda was short in the rough and easily played. Sand traps were plentiful and strategically placed to add some needed analysis. It was typical desert "sand", unfortunately meaning a very hard surface and little give, so it's next to impossible to get a decent result from downhill lies. Wedges skip off of the surface rather than produce the usual explosion. Makes the fairway bunkers super easy to play out of, but the greenside ones all "drop-kicked" out and well over the green until we figured out to come down much steeper and that seemed to be the key to get results. Holes were a nice mix, some sweet par-3s, and I never felt I was playing the same hole twice. I would happily play there again.
Unfortunately there were no marshalls watching over the course so our day was less than enjoyable because the group behind us brought a boom box along and continually parked their carts a mere 15 feet off of the greens (!), relentlessly cranking out loud hip-hop every friggin hole to completely erase any serenity on the course or concentration for our tee shots even though we were 50 yards away from them. I don't understand when it became allowable for "golfers" to insist on converting golf courses into their own personal backyard Bar-B-Que party- and it's NEVER addressed. More and more I face this- even on the range, when you have to pick everything up and go to the other side to relax and practice because they get belligerent if you tell them playing their music out loud 10 feet away from you is distracting. C'mon, golf facilities- take a stand on this. Enforce using ear buds on those who just absolutely have to have their tunes. I love my music too, I just don't bring it to the golf course and inconsiderately impose it on others who gratefully get away from the relentless noise of today's life for a few hours of enjoying the quiet beauty that is so integral a part of this wonderful game.

It’s about a 2 hour drive from Las Vegas and you skirt the edges of Laughlin on the way down. I didn’t do any scouting ahead of time and went in with zero expectations. The road entrance to the course is very unassuming and I nearly missed it.

The clubhouse has a small town feel with a nice deck on the back. Driving range and 10th tee are right off the deck. The deck would be a great place to relax post round. Carts ready to go just outside the clubhouse to load and go.

The course was in good shape and I really liked the winter look, green fairways and brown dormant Bermuda surrounding. The holes were interesting and tee boxes were in good shape. Some of the lies around the green were a little thin, but not terrible. I usually can’t remember many holes after only playing a course once, but this one was different. Quite a few made an impression. This is a fun course and I would definitely play again.
