Local Muni that feels like a family run business. Everybody was extremely nice and friendly.
Course is flat and tree lined and the fairways are dormant and lightly painted green. Rough is only slightly longer than the fairways. Traps had decent sand, greens were smooth and medium fast. Decent locals' course in a nice setting, probably at least 10 degrees warmer than Vegas in the winter. Got a $25 hot deal and that seemed like the right price, the cart was included but this course is perfect for walking.

Played 11-13-16 early afternoon as a single in 1 hour 15 minutes for $24 including cart with nobody on the course. Overall course was in descent shape and surprisingly very green. Tee boxes were mostly level with good coverage. Fairways were very lush and a bit long with some small thin areas. Rough was in good shape and cut pretty low. Didn't go into any bunkers but the looked okay. Greens were in good shape, soft and very slow, looked like they hadn't been cut in a few days. This is a medium length flat tree lined course that is pretty straight forward with some long par threes to finish each nine on. You only get one glimpse of the river on the 10th tee box.

First stop on my weekend trip was here on 2/15. Not the most exciting choice, but I have my reasons. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised with the experience here. I got there nice and early to beat the Saturday morning crowd, but there was hardly anyone there that early. I went off by myself at first light and zipped around quickly. Price was $45 with a cart. The course was in decent winter condition. Much better than I would have expected. Tee boxes and fairways pretty green and mostly good. Rough was dormant, patchy brown, but shaved down so not much of a factor. I was in a few bunkers and they were OK with coarse damp sand. The greens looked good with lush grass, but they were very shaggy and super slow. This old Needles muni is a pretty basic layout. Nothing too exciting, but solid enough for a locals course. Not worth going out of your way for, but not a terrible golf stop to break up your drive through this area. Weirdest aspect of this course is both 9 and 18 are par-3s, and so is 10. Can't say I've ever seen that before.

I dont usually care if they dont overseed, but this was very bad, when you hit iron off fairway it blew dust in your face. Staff tried very hard, but this is Needles. I/we wont be back.

If you are heading to Laughlin, go play Rivers Edge. This course has some of the best greens anywhere. It is always easy to get on. The people are very accomodating. The fairways are beautiful. It is not a very difficult course, however the wind will sometimes make some of the holes play pretty long. If you are heading towards the river, check out this course.

Mostly flat course in great condition. Some cross traffic in fairways. Very walkable. Road comes into play on a few holes. Great ladies course. Worth the green fee due to wonderful condition.
