Ok so let me start by saying we played the day before overseeding. I was aware that the canyon course was closed already but wasnt completely sure if the palmer course was done yet. We arrived and noticed that the greens were a bit brown so it was apparent that they were prepped. The lady in the he pro shop had to be the nicest person ever. She saw that we had the full rack rate ($75) and said if we had cash she would charge us the member afternoon rate of $37. Luckily the casino had been great to us so we opted for that. She also said that we could take off 20% for any clothing in the shop. She was just truly a nice person. Maybe she was also just trying to get extra money in before they closed the next day for 2 weeks but it was just her friendly attitude that made the whole process better. Other staff members were equally as friendly so I assume they love working for Oasis. On to the course. It was a bit dried out which made sense for the overseeding that was about to happen, however the course was very playable. Good coverage for the fairways and rough which was a mix of green and tan grass but no dead spots. Tee boxes were fine and looked like they had been verticut recently. Sand traps need a little TLC as the top layer is about 1" of sand and hard pack below. Greens were very tricky, Extremely firm where out wedge shots would bounce 6+ inches in the air and provided no check. All shots needed to be played 10-20 feet short of the flag and even then there a plenty of false edges that could wreck your round. They were fast and smooth so putting just needed a few holes to get use to it. They layout was spectacular all around. Good elevation changes and a nice stretch of 7 or 8 holes in the native canyons kind of like a poor mans wolf creek. The par 3's had good character with some over water and canyons ranging from 140-200 yards. Carts were very basic no GPS but did the job. I really enjoyed the layout and would love to play here again soon and would recommend you do too if in the area.

Another super windy day here up Interstate 15 led me to this nice little gem. Course was empty due to Mother's day and a mighty gale. Fairways were good and greens were a tad spongy but not bad. Tee boxes were in good shape. Club selection is always key up here when the wind blows. Blasted an 8 Iron 190 when a mighty gust came up on 16 and hit a driver 160 earlier right into the teeth. Still a fun time though. As usual up here the staff was great. Super friendly and quick with good tips when asked.

Played April 5, the combo (blue/white). Should have just played the whites and had more fun. Nice course, but not sure if it's worth $150.00. If you can find a deal, online go for it. Customer service... Continue »

Customer service was fantastic, and they got us out earlier than our 7:40 t-time. Course is visually nice, with lots of elevation changes. Greens were ok with some sand on them and about medium speed. Sand was good quality and easy to get out of. Would play it again, but not for $150.00

Rode the Blacks (6468/71.3/134) in 4H, 20M with Nick, Larry and Glen. Around 65 and partly cloudy. Breezy, 1-2 club wind, which at least this week was about as good as it got in Mesquite. Much preferable over the days it was a 3-4 club wind. Arnold Palmer design with lots of elevations changes. Numerous tight holes where you play down canyons. Numerous holes where you played severely downhill. Signs said 100' elevation changes on multiple tee shots. Tees excellent, almost immaculate with few unfixed divots. Fairways excellent to play from, lush and green. Rough was mostly dormant Bermuda. Lush over seeded around the greens. Very playable around the fairways, not high but a huge difference from being in the fairway. Sand traps were decent with good quality sand. Played 7 rounds in Mesquite this week and these were the best greens. Firm, smooth and medium fast to the point that you better not get above the hole. I saw the lines well on these greens and still had a terrible putting day because I never got the speed down. Excellent customer service, they were running right on time. Cart gal around numerous times. Nice, all grass practice facility included in your fee. Comfortable carts but no GPS. I liked the layout and would enjoy playing here again anytime. This layout should appeal to the masses more so that several of the more high profile Mesquite courses. Tough, but not so tough that the average player will lose a dozen balls. But anything not that far offline is going to result in penalty shots. Overall, highly recommended.

Played here Tuesday, Nov. 10 with a 12:30 tee time. Waited until the day prior to book and got an amazing price on TeeOff.com of $50, plus I had a $10 promo code, so I paid just $40 total. It was very busy when I checked in, and I asked the pro shop guy whether or not he thought we’d finish. He said it was 50/50, and I then asked if there was any room to move me up to an earlier group. He said no but said they were running on time. Just as I was driving over to the practice putting green, they announced for me to return to the golf shop, and they paired me with some guys from Reno who were on the first tee! Perfecto! Ended up starting about 12:10 and finished with plenty of daylight, although the majority of the significantly downhill 18th was in shadows by that point. Great service and much appreciated!

Conditions are fantastic! The greens are the highlight… smooth, fast, accept full shots well; nearly perfect. Overseeded fairways are lush and mostly great, maybe a bit thin in spots. Bermuda rough varied from thick in spots to thin in others; definitely a premium on hitting the fairways. Tee boxes were good, as were the bunkers.

First time here and I was wowed by the course. How much good golf is in Mesquite? I’d played the Canyons course here a few years ago and enjoyed it immensely, but the Palmer is definitely a step up from that. Lots of beautiful and dramatic holes including many forced carries and elevation changes. Loved it! Seems like there are often multiple TeeOff.com “Deal” times per day that get really affordable a day or two before the time, so if you can operate on a flexible schedule, you can play some great golf at incredible prices.

Highly recommended!

Noon Tee time and it was in the nineties when we got out and when we finished it was still in the 90s. The breeze came around after a few holes that got up to about two clubs, making drives from up top very difficult. Thankfully there were only a few holes that way, but then again, it was enough to do damage to the cards.
The course was gearing to punch so the greens were on the slow side however, it was pretty hard surface. The good thing was it putted better than it looked. I don't remember being in any bunkers, but some looked okay and others looked crusty. Good grass coverage all over- and the teeing grounds were fine.
A fun course all in all.
The beverage cart came by a few times.
The food was good at their clubhouse.
The service was nice.

Played here on Wednesday 11/7. Took the detour out this way to play this course because it was the last one I hadn't played in the Mesquite/St. George area and also because they just happened to put out a reasonable DealCaddy voucher just before my trip. It was $65 any day after 11. Not super cheap, but Oasis always seems to be overly expensive and deals aren't easily found. I took what I could get and booked an 11:20 tee time. I was paired with another single and a twosome. We teed off closer to 11:10. We never pushed the group ahead much until the very end, and we were never pushed much from behind. Total pace of just under 4.5 hours on a really nice afternoon in Mesquite. The course was in very good overall condition out of overseed. Pretty similar to what we experienced here last year on The Canyons course. Tee boxes nice. Fairways generally very good with just a few thin spots here and there where the overseed didn't come in as consistently. The rough was not overseeded, so it is semi-dormant bermuda this shoulder season. Cut down, but just long and tangly enough to make you work a little. The bunkers were in great shape. The greens seemed firm, but they were actually quite receptive and they were rolling well at medium speeds. Pretty grainy, so that and the slopes really made some putts slicker than they looked and vice versa. I really enjoyed the layout of The Palmer Course. Both courses here are very fun and interesting, but I'd probably give a slight edge to this one if I had to choose. It has some good changes in elevation and a few great stretches of holes carved out of the canyons. Then, there are some more residential holes that are still designed to be intriguing. A few semi-blind tee shots and quirks, but nothing that will beat you up too much because the course isn't super long. The greens don't feature too much undulation. Some awkward and spread out routing with numerous criss-crosses and switchbacks, so pay close attention to signage on cart paths. Of course, some beautiful scenery throughout and another really good second-tier Mesquite option behind Wolf Creek, especially if you can find a decent deal.

Played 6/30 so I know I'm a little behind...but just got home and back to internet service today.

Played 6/30 so I know I'm a little behind...but just got home and back to internet service today.

Pace of play - 10/10. Played just as a twosome, and although we didn't have the first tee time we were basically first off. Never caught any one or had anyone get within 4 holes of us from behind. Finished in sub-3 hours.

Sand - 8/10. Was only in one bunker...little thin and was still wet from the morning watering so it was heavy. No complaints given the rest of the round.

Fairways - 8/10. Some patchy spots but I guess that's what I would expect for middle of summer in mesquite. Certainly nothing to knock this course down for.

Greens - 9/10. Definitely a tale of two types here - the front were slow and wet and the back were dried out and fast. Both rolled true and were mowed nicely.

Rough - 7/10. Little thin in more than a few areas. Weedy in some of the desert areas, but it is the middle of summer so not something I'd skip over the course for.

Overall - I would definitely recommend this course. If you go in summer, be prepared and bring water/gatorade cause the water stations are about every 6 holes here. This is one that is a mainstay in our rotation in mesquite and will continue to stay there.

We played Oasis Palmer as part of our Mesquite golf trip. We have been coming for three years now and really enjoy the variety of affordable golf in this small town. Oasis is a more traditional layout with some homes surrounding the club. It also has its fair share of holes with no homes and some really neat views.

The course itself is fun to play and in good shape. I would say the greens are a little inconsistent with what I am guessing different types of grass on the greens. The fairways, greens and Tees are a nice green color with good turf coverage. I did shoot my best score of the trip here.

It was a very busy day on the day we played so didnt really get the personalized attention but service was fine. Pace of play for the day was good at around 5 hours which for how busy the course was I didnt have any issues.

Have not played the canyons course yet perhaps next year we put that one in the rotation with Wolf Creek again.

Always a good time with friends and some excellent golf venues in Mesquite.
