Played Sunday 6/26, 9 am time. A Sierra style course, lots of trees and hills. This would fit right in the Tahoe area. A really fun course that had lots of interesting holes. The starter told us to stay on the right side of pretty much every hole, and he was right. Greens in great shape, running about a fast 10, slow 11. They play a lot of NCAA events here, and it's a stern test worthy of that competition. 18 is a driveable 280 yd, downhill, with the wind behind our back... over water on the right, bail on the Left... of course I went for it and missed, then hit a second into the front bunker. That was fun. If I lived here, I would make this a go to golf course.

Played today in rather cool temps. Rain kept many away (though it stopped for my 18 - yeah) and was able to "cruise" around in 3 hours. Course pro shop is top notch on customer service. Never hesitated to let me pay and go out early. Course itself was in great condition, despite the recent rain. Tee boxes were clean and level; fairways clean and while not providing great roll, the ball did not plug and I never had a bad lie. Even the rough was not "high" but playable. Greens, while looking somewhat "multi" colored (due to poe ana ?) and not appearing to be fast, where indeed fast and holding shots very well. I enjoyed the course very much. Liked the back 9 better than the front. And really liked the par 3's. I was surprised that the rate was a high as it was? Would imagine most buy an annual pass? And the golf carts need replacing. Very old and really beat up. Guess most people walk, but it did not appear to be a "good" walking course for everyone. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend playing here.

Was in town and called and was able to walk on with relative ease. Teed off about 1 and finished right around 4 hours which probably was quick due to the football games on. I remember the last time I was here (probably about 4-5 years ago) the pace was a little slower.

The practice facility here is great. There is a big grass range and the grass is legit too with a big target area. There are numerous practices greens. I think there are 4 or 5 chipping and putting greens (didn't have time to use them).

I thought I'd be able to walk the course and I'm glad I didn't. I was pretty worn out with the cart but this was probably due to my early flight and not getting enough sleep. Walking is doable but it would be a tough one. The other course I believe is the easier one to walk.

Greens I'd say were medium speed, not really anything that would make you think twice about. I was surprised about the breaks though. I remember a couple of times I thought it would break toward the water or away from the "mountain" and it broke the opposite. I'm sure like any course you'd play frequently you'd have a better understanding of the breaks.

Fairways were great and there is definitely a difference between the rough and the fairway so hitting the fairways were certainly a key here. The rough was pretty brutal. There were some balls which we could not find and some were also really sitting down. Pretty thick too so either just put it back in play or catch it clean. Also I did hit one (at least one I could play) drive into the trees so you had to punch it low because you are not going over these gigantic trees.

Wasn't in a bunker but seemed pretty good and consistent based on the guys I was paired with.

I absolutely love this place and is a must play, I think I will make it a stop every time I'm in the area. While Chambers has views of the Sound this is more of wooded course. Trees line up the fairways so it felt like I was really away from everything.

The is a great test, using every club in your bag and then some. The fairways and greens were immaculate but a few of the tees could have used some work. The holes are challenging and the greens were running pretty quick.

Generous landing areas are nice but you really need to play this course more than once to understand where your tee shot should be. Par 3's are stout but you can score.

My favorite hole is the 17th, which starts with a down hill tee shot to fairly narrow landing area, OB left and water on the right for the long hitters. Your second shot is a mis to long iron or hybrid to a long narrow green with trouble left and a hill right. Don't be above the hole.

Facility is nice, pro shop has everything, I even bought a new driver. Practice facility is what you would expect from a facility of this caliber and nary 1 house spoiling your enjoyment.

Day 4 (5/18/13) of the local golf vacation took me back to the Kitsap Peninsula, to Gold Mountain's Olympic Course. Of the four vacation rounds I've had so far, this was definitely the best. Conditions were excellent, I think these were the best fairways I've hit off of in years. Greens were very good, holding shots well, and rolling pretty true. Rough was nice also. If I were to complain about anything, the one trap I was in was quite thin, and there were a couple of tee boxes that weren't exactly level. Still, nothing that should keep you away. Pace was ridiculously fast, (about 3:10) as I walked it by myself and never saw another player within 2 holes, either in front of or behind me. The threat of some rain really must have scared everyone away. It is a long way to go for golf, but well worth the trip.
