Highland Hills Golf Course opened in 1959 is an 18 hole Championship course with tree lined fairways, undulating greens, and a demand for straight tee shots. There are four sets of tees ranging from 5,500 yds to 6,800 yards. As much as the yardage itself is not a factor between tee and green it is where the dog legs come into play that determines the toughness of each level of play here. You will know when you approach the first tee that this is no links course, all the holes are lined heavly with Cottonwoods and with some narrow landing areas these trees could come into play more than once. You really need to have a little patience playing here straight shots are the only shots at Highland Hills.Playing here during October makes playing here just a little more intruiging with the Cottonwoods at full color and droping their leaves all over the course. Our 8:48am tee time was pushed back almost 30 minutes because of FROST on the greens but that is what Colorado golf can be like at this time of year. We found that the front nine plays much tighter and more rolling than the back nine, where the layout was much flatter and the fairways a little wider than the front. The view from the first tee is very beautiful, through the narrow fairway between all those Cottonwoods was Longs Peak covered in Snow, real nice way to start your round. The tee boxes here were in very good condition all of them level and clean of divot marks, only one of the par three courses had several mars on them. The fairways were well manicured and also free of damage, golfers here have made sure to repair any divot marks they may have caused. The greens played some of the best I have played in this area. There were some ball marks that needed tending to but they were few and pin placement was mostly in easy to read locations. Highland Hills is the sister course to "Boomerang" both of which are maintained through the city of Greeley. The personal at both of these courses of taken every effort to maintain all levels of play enjoy their rounds here, I commend them for that. The rate here is at it's non prime scale so this would be an even better reason to take advantage of this discount and play this course. Walking this course is no problem either green to tee box is very close except for only three of the holes. Highland Hills has a very large driving range, two putting greens and a very nice pro shop. There were several flat screen tv's in the resturant that had all the football games on so after a great round sit back and watch your favorite team play. I recommend this course to all levels of play and the price to play it is a bonus. Just remember if only this, a straight game is needed here. Good Luck

Boomerang Links located just West of Greeley and opperated by the city of Greeley is a British style links course. The only regret I had playing here today was the 30mph winds and COLD rain through out the front nine. I found this course to be awesome in play, layout, and scenic. Boomerang Links is a fairly newer course opening late summer of 1991 as two differant 9 hole courses the "North" and "South", playing from 5,200 yds from the Red Tee's to a monster 7,200 yds from the Championship Tee's. All level of play can have a great time playing here as the set up of this course uses all the level's of play into the layout. The rate for play here is $33.00 for 18 holes but we were able to get the winter discount of just $24.00. There are no GPS units in the cars so the cost of riding I felt was a little high. This course could be walked with out any problems (assuming you don't play in the rain and wind) Starting on the "North" nine your first hole a Par 4 will get you pumped up. This is where you find out all about the wide landing zones the tee boxes offer you. Let er' rip here and you find yourself reaching green in regulation. This green like almost all the greens here are HUGE and soft. There is a bunker front left and housing on the right. Hole 2 is a little hike from the green and has you teeing off next to a corn field. Your short iron to another soft green rolls right to left and to the front. We found the greens to be in exellent condition through out and only pin placement had you working the putts. The Par 5 third hole is slightly down hill but straight, careful of pulling ball to trees on right or the rough left side. The green here we found to be one of the faster greens. The fourth hole is a Par 3 over water with four bunkers protecting the green. Be very careful not to over shoot this green for there is really deep rough waiting for you. The Par 4 5th hole from the White tee's has a hidden green and you tee off over small trees and shrubery, this was te only tee box set into this area. As I stated early every tee box and level of play has it own conditions of play. Smart move here is 3 wood from tee then iron to green, there is a big greenside bunker front right be careful for that. The 6th hole a Par 4 has a very wide landing fairway area, use this you need a clean shot to the green and cover the bunker 20 yards short of the green. The green here sloping rear to front was a litlle on the fast and firm side. The Par 3 7th hole is a easy hole nothing here to worry about. The 8th a Par 4 is another tee shot over water, the landing zone is wide keep away from the right side and all the rough that comes with it. A soft green here will hold most any shot landing on it. More water to hit over is on the Par 5 9th, but really this should not be a concern unless you miss hit the tee. Awesome fairways on this course make your 2nd shots on these Par 5's so much easier, the ball is always sitting up for you to get a clean shot off. After the "North" nine is completed you need to go through the tunnel and across the road to find the "South" nine. We were told that we would now be playing the fun part of the course. What we found here is in one word "WATER". the first hole has water along the right side from tee to green. If you keep ball straight no problems, just do not hit it right. We also found the greens on this side to be in even better condition than the "North" side. There were also more elevated greens located on these holes. The 2nd hole here was a Par 5 that played up to 590 yards. There was water from tee to green on right and the highway on the left. The green here is protected by a large and deep bunker to the front left. The green also has a water hazzard to the rear so be careful not to over shoot this green. From the hardest hole here to the easiest a Par 3. A green slopeing rear to front and left to right but is so soft any shot near the pin will hold. Hole 4 is a Par 4 surrounded with water on right and heavy rough on the left. Even though there was deep rough on this course it was not thick and you were able to recover from there. This down hill tee shot to a green protected with water on the right "AGAIN" will have you looking at Par for sure. Hole 5 is a up hill tee shot Par 4 to another of the elevated greens. A green that plays soft yet firm and is easy to read. The last of the Par 5's is on number 6 a straight tee shot keeps you away from the water on the right and the DEEP rough on the left. This hole had the largest green we played today.Holes 8 and 9 are both straight Par 4's. Water could come into play if you slice the tee shot even just a little on number 9 but both greens are very friendly to you. We found that this course was in a awesome condition and well worth thr green fee's. The weather today was awful so I need to get back here soon to really enjoy what Boomerang Links has to offer. The staff here was very informative and very helpful to us. We were able to play this course in just over 3 1/2hrs, but we were just a twosome and the course was not very busy because of the nasty weather. There is a putting green, pitching green, practice bunker and a very big driving range here. The pro shop is well stocked and the resturant here with good eats and drinks is not over priced. Boomerang Links is a MUST play course if you are able to get to it.

I had just played "Olde Course at Loveland" only a month ago and what a change there was today. I found the course to be in a very bad state of play. Par three tee boxes were so beat up it was hard to find a level place to tee off. On almost all the greens I got to I had to repair at least 3 additional ball marks other than my own. Then there was the long pace of play, when it takes 5 hours to play a course that is half empty then there is something wrong. We had the course marshall tell us that there was one group of four ahead of us slowing everything down, but never did anything about it. i also did not appreciate the group ahead of us stealing our balls that we were hitting. We saw them several times walk back toward our shots in the fairway and when we got to where our shots should have been they were missing, but they never touched them. Yes I was very upset with the way this course had gone down hill so fast, hopefuly it won't be like this again. This is a really nice course but not today for some reason. Today I would have to give it 3 out of 10 sorry.

Collindale Golf Course is your typical public links course maintained by the City of Fort Collins. It had been several years since I last played all 18 holes here and was really looking forward to an interesting round with Tanner. Collindale is basicly a flat plot with down and back layouts with a couple doglegs thrown in there. What this course does have is precisley postioned bunkers and hazzards. Almost every hole will have trees coming into play on both sides of the fairways. There are several water hazzards that also will add strokes to your game with errant shots but because this course is undergoing there readiness to the winter season most have been emptied. Collindale plays as short as 5,400 yards from the forward tee's to a monster 7,150 yards at the championship tee's. With a rating of 72 and slope at 127 this not a pitch and putt course you need to bring a full bag of clubs to score great. The opening hole is 520 yard par five around trees with a slight bend to your right but be aware of the large bunker green side front left, this first green like most of them slopes rear to front but not much side roll on these greens. Tee placement is very crucial on this course with many narrow fairways lined with trees. Because of the steady drizzle we were playing in the course was playing much longer than I remembered before. The ball just did not want to roll very well on the fairways and the ball stuck on the greens. I know this course has awesome fairways from past rounds played here so this did not bother me but made me play a tougher round. There are well placed greenside and fairway bunkers here and water hazzards do have a place also. However because they are prepairing Collindale for the winter season most have the water hazzards were drained leaving only a rememberance of what they could do to you. Three of the four tee boxes on the par three's were in very good condition with golfers repairing there divot marks only hole 15 had much damage to the tee box. I general the fairways also were in very good condition with divots being repaired as play continued, this is something that so many courses fail at. Greens too were well maintained as there were not any damaging ball marks left. Because of the lateness of the season here a few of the greens did have thining on the fringe and some areas of the smaller greens such number 7 and 16 holes. From the first tee to the final drop on eighteen this is a very nice course to play. Collindale does have a full slate on most days in the summer months so making a reservation is highly reccomended if not playing as a single. You are able to reserve up to 7 days in advance here. The cost for 18 with a cart on weekends is only $42.50 right now and worth every penny. Collindale has a chipping green, putting green, and driving range with lessons given. The carts do not have GPS so keep track where you are on the fairways. On average you should be able to complete 18 holes in just over four hours another reason I like this course. Playing here is like taking a stroll through the park, there are trees, trees, trees, and even catch a look at the fox that always runs through. Good luck!

Pelican Lakes Golf is a Resort Community of Water Valley in Windsor, Colorado. There are actualy two seperate courses that make up this resort "Pelican Lakes" an 18 hole Championship Course, and "The Falls" a 9 hole course. The club house is very big and the staff working there were very friendly and knowledgable to evrything we asked of them. I knew we were in for a great round with a start like this. There was a little confusion before our tee time but after that was handled off we went to number one. I had heard that Pelican Lakes was a very interesting and challenging course and we found that to be true. The fairways in most part were in pretty good condition considering the time of season here. Most of them were real lush but there were several holes that no carts were allowed on due to repair and re-seeding. The bunkers were all raked clean and the sand was that of soft playable texure. The greens too were in a very good state of playability. Very little ball marks were present but some of them were covered in sand from the green side bunkers making your ball bounce at times while putting. The front nine had you playing with water riding on the left side while the back was the opposite water on the right. There are several lakes that you play along side making for some very beautiful scenery. Hole five was one of those holes, a par five that doglegs left along the lake your approach must stay clear of a very large and deep green side bunker. Then the par 3 ninth has you hitting through a very tight opening of trees and over a creek to an elevated green. On the back side holes 10 & 11 have you playing along side another of the lakes here to the right with heavy tree and rough cover to your left. Hole 14 is a tough par four as you must hit an accurate shot from the tee, there is a narrowing fairway and four bunkers that are willing to catch anything near them. Then the large bunker greenside will snatch another if you do not stay right. The hardest green I felt there was to play was the one waiting for you on the next hole a par 5 number 15. The green slopes very hard left to right and this could almost be considered a hazzard if you do not pay attention to the pin location here. Because of the time we teed off by the time we reached the 18th green were given the chance to see a really beautiful sun set. I really enjoyed playing the course and what it was allowing me to do with it. I was some what upset with the pace of play and of some inconsiderate golfers playing behind us. It took us just over 5 hours to play our round today and we did not see any course marshalls to help with this problem. The group ahead of us were constantly waiting for the forward group to reach the green before teeing off, this became a big problem because they were only able to drive 150yds max. Then the group playing behind us were constantly driving balls at us, and never saying anything. This group was hitting so long they almost drove several greens, but instead of mioving back a set of tees they continued with there game. If there had been a marshall around this could have been corrected on the spot. Other than this inconvenance the course itself was a treat to play. I highly reccomend playing here at least once to try it for all levels of play. Good Luck!

We played Pine Creek Sunday afternoon and the only regret I have.... is that I only had time to play the front nine. What we found was a really scenic, challenging, and fun course. Pine Creek is located just to the North of Colorado Springs and across I25 from The Air Force Acadamy. This course plays in and around a housing track so you must be careful with errant shots. From the clubhouse you are able to get a very good look at the front nine as these holes sit below it. There are four sets of tees here ranging in length from 5,300yds to over 7,000yds playing from the Gold or Championship tees. I recommend playing the White tees for the average golfer with a higher handicap. The Blue and Gold tees will have you hitting many shots from difficult postions if you are not consistent. During our play on Sunday we had a steady wind of 10-15mph so this made it much easier to insist on the White tee's. Hole 1 will have you hitting it downhill with a dog leg right. There is a pond on the left and deep rough with trees to the right. Once over the ditch land in a wide area as close to center as possible. Your second shot to the green could be blocked by trees. This second shot also is down hill to a large soft green that is rolling in contour. Hole 2 is another par 4 that has you teeing off a little downhill to a wide approach zone. There are two BIG bunkers to the right that will catch a slice and deep rough and houses to the left. Your approach shot is a short iron to a green sloping left to right and two large bunkers on the sides. Hole 3 is your first par 5 dog leg left from the tee and then a little up hill to the green. You will be teeing off over heavy rough to the fairway with more deep grass to the right and left. Your second shot is a long iron to a big green sloping up front to back, be careful of long downhill puts here the green was a little fast. Know where the pin placement is. Hole 4 is the first par 3 on the front and if the wind is up could play a little tough. Two big bunkers guard the right side and the ditch in front is very close to the green. Hole 5 is another one where you need to play smart from the tee and lay up. This hole is a up hill sharp dog leg left.Try for the green and you will start counting penalty strokes. The trees, deep rough, and gorge will eat them up and spit them back. A 3 iron to the center will get you up for birdie with a short iron to the green. This green was one of the harder to read with speeds very fast and curving slopes. Hole 6 is a par five and was told there signature hole. You have a slight uphill shot into a slight dogleg right fairway. Tee it high here and rip it past the bunkers. Your second shot must be to the bend right of the two deep fairway bunkers, this is where it turns hard right down hill to the green. There are many traps around this green so make your shot count. Along side the right of this hole is just plain ugliness so stay away, and to the right is a hillside protecting more homes. When you walk up the fairway take a second to stop and look back to the west at a fantastic view of the Rocky Range and Pikes Peak. Hole 7 is your final par 3 that has you hitting maybe a soft pitching wedge or sand wedge. Water is to the left and right and the greenside bunkers are huge. the green slopes down from the back. Now you will cross under the road again to the final two holes. Hole 8 is a straight par 4 that if you nail your drive have only a wedge to chip onto the green, a green that was one of the easiest to play. No real danger on this hole just keep it clean. Hole 9 the finish hole for the front nine is another downhill tee shot through a narrow opening to the fairway. This is the second hole in a row that if hit hard and true you come close to the green.Another wedge will set you up for birdie here. The starter was very friendly and informative when told that this was the first time we were playing Pine Creek. She informed us of several places on the course where you should leave the driver in the bag and of other hidden areas. There were not any long strolls between green and tee's so this helped to keep the pace of play up and allow us to finish our round in just over 2 hours. Overall this course was in fantastic condition considering the time of season. The tee boxes were clean, fairways lush and greens free of ball marks. You are able to see the staff here at Pine Creek take pride in the work and of there course. When playing out on the course all personnel would stop the carts and sit still while you hit your shot. I really liked this as at so many other places that would just blast right past you caring less. I need to get down there again and finish this course. Good Luck!

I heard about this course from a friend of mine so decided to give it a try today. This course was designed in 2001 on a prairie facing west toward the Rocky Mountains so i knew the course would still be very young. What I did not know was how much watering they do here as the fairways were very wet with some areas of standing water, and a few of the greenside bunkers also having puddles of water in them. The course it self was in very good condition considering all the water that was used. Fairways were trim and neat with some areas of divot marks not repaired by the golfers and there were really no hidden problems that you could see from the tee box. In fact you are able to play each hole properly from tee to green without having to find a hidden bunker or hazzard. Trees are still very young so they do not pose a reasl problem for you but some of the rough surrounding these holes can send you home scratching your head. The first hole is a par four straight with anarrow aproach green is protected by two huge deep bunkers and the green itself is contured uphill from approach.Hole 2 is a par four downhill tee shot be careful of the greenside bunkers there huge. The green is oval shaped and flatter in nature. This was one of the wetter fairways we encountered today. Hole 3 is the first of the par 5's and this is one of the harder ones on the course. There are very big bunkers alongside the fairway and this area is alittle narrow with big hills on both sides. There is a very big bunker just before the approach of the green but the green waiting for you is big and easy to read.Hole 4 is the hole I had been waiting to play, a 145 yard (from the Blue) to an Island green surrounded by sand. There is a one ball hit rule here if it gets wet you are to carry over to the drop zone. Hole 5 is another par 5 and is the easiest of all. Just a basic long tee shot second shot up hill slightly and another oversized green.Hole 6 has water left of the fairway and has some bad rough on the right side the green is elevated and contured three ways. Hole 7 has a split fairway go left or right around the tall hill and you are only a short iron from a rolling layered green protected by a large bunker.Hole 9 is a par four up hill playing very wide with a large pond 20yds from the green. The front side looked like you were playing in a park while the back nine gave you the feel of wilderness was lurking. Ten is a downhill tee shot with both sides much higher putting you in a valley feeling. The approach is narrow but the green is safe. Hole 11 is like number four but here you tee up over a swamp, even the green has the swamp on two sides and rear giving you only the front to hit. Again there is a drop area for those who enter the nasty stuff.Hole 12 is teed up next to this same swamp and you tee off over the trail end of it to a very inviting fairway up hill. There are two very large and deep bunkers around a flat green. Thirteen is a easy par 5, drive it long and you can layup at the creek just short of the green and get a nice bird here.Fourteen is a par 4 with again wide fairways and a easy to read green. On 15 you have some trees that come into play and a very large flat green . Hole 16 is another interesting one out here. It is a short par 4 only 277 yards. The best shot here must be put over a very large body of water and hoping the wind is not heavy you will have driven the green. There is a drop zone on this hole for those who miss it (we found this out after the fact as it was not posted) or go the long way around. There are very big and very deep bunkers protecting this green should you decide to fly it over so be careful. Seventeen is a simple long par three just a typical hole here. Your finish hole is just like number nine, an uphill waide tee shot, large bunkers in the fairways to keep you honest and a easy approach shot to a large and flat green. The back nine has a lot of very deep rough that is there if you happen to push your shots left or right. The areas surrounding the green and the fairways also have very deep and lush grass that can cause you to fly the ball if you miss hit it a little. Overall this course was a very good challenge to us today if only they had not watered the course so heavy. My two complaints about this course was the pace of play and the staff working there. We played this round in just over 5 1/2 hours!!!! There was a club tournament being played before us between the best of this place and another golf course nearby. We were never informed of this taking place when we reserved our tee time, and when we were to tee it up were told that they were real good players and would go fast. On several tee boxes there were up to four groups waiting to tee off. After nine holes I talked to the staff in the pro shop and was told basicly "oh well that is how Sundays are here". Even the cart girl did seem like she wanted to be there working. Forgetting these two problems this course is a challengeing one with five differant tee boxes ranging from 4,900 yds to 7,000yds.Saddleback is located in Weld County 2 1/2 miles South of 119 in Firestone Colorado East of I25. If you would like to see a flyover of this course go to: http://video.yahoo.com/watch/8054368/21333030 it is very interesting. Good luck playing here.

Played Highland Meadows this afternoon and from the very cheerful welcome to the sound of the last ball dropping in it was fantastic. This course was in immaculate condition from tee box to green through out all 18 holes. The fairways were very lush and clean hardly any divot marks anywhere and the greens were in such good condition you might think you were playing at a private club somewhere. This is a course where you can not blame the playing conditions for high scores so bring your game on. Highland Meadows plays from a short 4,600yds from the gold tees to a long 7,000yds from the back tees. The front nine will have you playing alongside houses and having to deal with lots of water hazzards and deep green side bunkers. Where as the back nine seems to place you out in a more secluded enviroment. Either side will have you thinking on every shot. Pin placement is very criticle on this course as most of the greens are very large and very contured with several multi layered. You must try to avoid the down hill putts as the speed becomes very fast on these greens. Check the GPS supplied in your cart to where the pin is placed as this very accurate and helpful. The fairways are very lush so stay in them because if you were to venture out into the rough here you will think you are playing in the British Open. There are no trees to deal with and with the rough dry and deep that is what this course looked like to me. The par 4 7th hole is a hole where if you drive long and straight you can reach the green from the tee, but be careful the green side bunkers there are at least 8 feet deep. Highland Meadows has a real nice driving range however if you plan on using it before your round I sugest you arive a little earlier than usual because it is quite a distance from the clubhouse. There is a real big putting green next to hole number one. The Pro shop is well maintained and supplied and the personnel working here seem to take pride in what they are doing for you. Highland Meadows is located in Windsor just North East of The Budwiser Event Center off I25. This is a course that must be played at least once to get the feel of what a links course should be like.

This is the second time we have played Southridge this season, and once again we had a great time playing here. Southridge plays anywhere from 5,880 to 6,400 yds white to blue tees. The first hole will get you going in the right direction as at only 303 yards and a little down hill you should be able to start out with par here. The front nine will make most long hitters need to lay up from the tee and hit a short iron onto the green. Number five is the only par five on the front you need to be careful on the tee here, there is a lot of water on the left and if you over shoot the fairway bunkers to the right you will have a tough recovery from the trees. The green is not only elevated but the contour will also have you checking your read twice. Six and seven both are straight par fours but both have a narrow opening for your tee shot between trees and water. Eight is a par three that will have you teeing off with club changes because you are very high above the green. From the tee box of nine you will get a really nive view of the course and the foothills to the west. This is a downhill shot that if you are not long and high must be laid up at around 180 yards. There is a large body water at 190 yards straight down and lots of trees and houses to the right. The green is hidden behind all of this but with a long straight tee you could get up to the green. Southridge's back nine is a little longer in length by about 250 yards. Number ten will have you teeing off over a large pond up hill to a elevated green. Number eleven is a par five that you must clear the ditch if you want any chance of reaching in three. The fairway is wide but if you tend to slice the whole right side is OB with houses. The green here is oval shape so try to stay middle of green if pin is to right or left you will be putting up hill. Number thirteen is the first of four straight holes with water hazzard that comes into play. Number 14 I think has to be the most fun hole on this course. This is a long 530yd par five that can be reached in three if you play smart. The entire left side of this dog leg left is along side Lemay Ave, the right side has two large fairway bunkers before a very large crater comes into play. The fairway here is narrow so shot selection is so very criticle on this hole. You then have a creek you must clear over two very large trees to a very inviting green. Pin postion here is usualy an easy one. So have a slight draw on your tee shot second shot to short of the creek and third shot onto the green. Fifteen is a up hill big dog leg right but the fairway is so large hard not to land in it. Seventeen is a narrow par four that has the driving range on the left and water on the right but this hole also can be pared. Eighteen will have you hitting along the other side of the driving range. A three wood here will put you in exellent postion to reach the green with mid iron, this has to be the easiest green to read beside number one. This course can play a little harder if they experience heavy rain the night before as most of the fairways tend to be in the low end. Sand play here tends to be easy because the conditions of the bunkers are well maintained. Out of bounds is very well marked and the hazzards here are place in just the right places to make you earn your score. This is not a course that will hurt you at all, all levels of play can enjoy there round. We palyed the 18 holes in just over 4 hours and that seems to be the norm here. Southridge has a driving range and several putting greens. The clubhouse and pro shop has always been kept up and clean. I really enjoy play this course and the price is right on for 18 and a cart on Sunday was only $45.00. The greens were a little rough on some of the hioles today as there was a tournament yesterday and not all of the ball marks were repaired. Overall I love this course.

Played Olde Course at Loveland early this morning for the first time and found this course to really be two courses in one. The front nine plays with fairly straight rolling fairways. The opening hole will get your game off to good start if you lay up with the three wood and stay in front of the pin, over shooting this green is not a good idea. The par 5 fifth has water along side the green but this hole is reachable in two if you want to try. Number six has water everywhere use your driver or three wood to the top of the hill for a easy chance of par here. Hole number nine is a very tough par four with a big dog leg right. The greens on the front nine can have some tough pin placements but the colored flags will help you to determine where they are placed. The back nine was like being on a differant course, this made the round even more enjoyable. Fairways are more narrow, much more hilly, much more water and trees and the greens were very tough to read with the pin placements. The greens on the back side are much bigger but also much more wavy. Hole ten sits alongside hole one so basicly this was like starting over. That is where it ended as the round became more testing. Sand traps are place through out this course in various shapes and sizes but all are in just the right location as are the water hazzards. This course can be played and enjoyed by all levels of play as the average player does not find him self in trouble all the time. If you find your self wide right or wide left 9 out of 10 times you will be able to hit it out safely. The Olde Course at Loveland has a great Pro Shop with very freindly and knowleable staff, putting greens, chipping area sand play and driving range. This course is controlled by the city of Loveland and is located just Northwest of Lake Loveland. I will most deffinitly play this course again soon, I felt playing here that I was able to play better because of the conditions. This course gets a two thumbs up!

Mariana Butte is a course that can allow you low scores or reach out and bite you. From the par 5 first to the finishing hole par 4 18th uphill, Mariana Butte has a lot too offer you. The course plays 6,583 yds from the blue tees and 5,926 yds from the white. There was a lot of rain the night before we played here so many fairways were still very wet after a 10:15am tee time, there fore many shots from the fairway were very soft. Green side bunkers are large and plenty over all, the condition of the sand it self was very soft making these shots easier. A few of the tee boxes on the par 3's were not in very good condition however showing signs that they are over used and need to be moved to allow regroth of the grass. The greens were good shape and played a constant spped through out our round. There were several holes where you were able to take in the scenery all around you and this made for an even nicer round. This course offers several putting greens, driving range, and chipping areas. The carts are aupplied with some of the best GPS monitors. Mariana Butte is controlled by the city of Loveland and is located just west of the city below the foothills and just east of the thompson canyon. Over all I really enjoyed playing here and will be back for more. The cost of playing a round here is comparable to some of the better courses in the area and the price is always the same wek or weekend. I had no problem getting a tee time as you can reserve up to 7 days in advance.

City Park Nine has a really nice layout with yardage from the white tees being 3,029 yards. You can play a full 18 holes by playing the blue tees for the back nine and changing your shot playing. This course does not have alot of bunker play so you are able to attack the greens from anywhere. The course overall is in really good condition considering the amount play it gets during the week. The two par fives can be reached in two if playing center. There is one water hazzard that can bite you that being on hole 8, hour second shot must clear the creek if you are short off the tee. This is a beautyful course in the city of Fort Collins setting along side Mullberry Avenue and the old City Cemetary. Well worth the cost of green fees. There is a driving range, chipping green, putting green, and sand bunker pratice.
