Played 6/21 in a small tournament that was booked months in advance. You would never know since they did not have enough carts out for all the players and none of the carts were marked with the proper hole assignments. Every tournament I've ever played in, the marshal would escort every group to the proper tee. Not here, your basically on your own.

Now for the course review. One generic hole after another. The layout lacks any character which makes it kind of monotonous. Tee boxes were mostly level, few divot marks but, in much need of a mow. Fairways were over watered and soaked. Not only hard to hit from also hard to get a cart through. Rough is over grown and soggy. It is ridiculous here and slows down the pace of play. I don't think it's left to grow to enhance the experience but, from an overall lack of maintenance that is seen through out. Greens were long, slow and bumpy. Cart path here are the worst I've seen on a golf course. Most holes I could see worn paths on the fairways where it looks like people avoid the poor path conditions.

Last thing I would like to comment on is customer service and club house. Besides the lack of carts and hole assignments, nothing was open where you could purchase coffee, drinks or snacks. They have a nice club house but, the restrooms filthy and had no soap or toilet paper. This is one poorly managed and maintained facility. They won't won't see me again.

Played here Sat Feb 1 @ 11:28. Customer service here has always been good and continues to be. Tee boxes are level and lush. The tee position was farther back than normal making the course a tad longer. Fairways were lush for the most part except for those near the lakes. The coots are keeping the grass on these holes very low...upside you get more roll off your drive. I was in a few bunkers (fairway and green side) I can attest that the are in very good condition. Full of fluffy sand. Rough is 3"-5" but not overly penal. Greens here are amazingly smooth, fast and putt true...a couple of sucker pin locations. Pace of play was a little slow @ 4 1/2 hrs. If you're on your way for a play n' stay in Palm Springs or just in the area, do your self a favor and try this track out.

This is my home course. The word is out on the conditions and rate, due in part to reviews posted on GK, it's getting a lot of play. However, the pace of play is a very reasonable 4.5 hrs.

I played Soboba Friday afternoon. Frank (the starter) let us know they verticut the greens in preparation for the Pepsi tour event this Sunday and the greens were running 10-11 with the goal of 12-13 for the event. The greens surface was next to perfect. The pin placements were some of the toughest I've seen.

Conditions of the fairways is equal to the greens. Beautifully manicured and lush green.
Rough is a bit long, especially around the greens due to the tour event...easily 5-6".
Sand was firm looking but fluffy again, near perfect. Tee boxes level, well manicured and lush.

Never knowing what the end score will be when rating a course, I would hope I scored it a 9.2.

As I set in the outdoor seating area next to the bar, I looked out onto this beautiful course very thankful it is in my backyard. I hope someday that GK will host an event here.

Played here Thursday 2/21. First thing I would mention is the level of their customer service. These guys are "johnny on the spot", very attentive and friendly. We were taking customers out and they appreciated the top notch treatment. My boss purchased the Creek Card they offer. What bargain...drink discounts, discount green fees ($35 off) to a SCGA membership...the list goes on. After purchasing the card ($99) and 4 green fees ($60 each), he saved over $40 from the rack rate. I have not seen a better deal anywhere...I challenge you to find one.

Now the golf course. Beautiful!
The tee boxes did need a mow. Overall, level and plenty of tee boxes for every golfer.
Fairways are in great shape but not a lot of roll. I bombed a couple of drives but, surprised at the overall distance...course plays a little long, needless to say. Rough was lush about 3"-5".
I wasn't in any bunkers but, they looked firm. Plenty of sand but, not fluffy.
Greens were very fast and overall consistent. A couple of greens on the front nine were a tad bumpy.
Now a dig...The POP was terrible for the amount of people playing...5+hrs. The foursome ahead of us was a hole behind. We finally had enough and skipped hole #13. There we met up with another foursome that had at least 2 holes open ahead of them. We pushed them and they picked up the pace. I'm hoping this was a fluke because I love playing this track.
It is on my favorites list for sure.

Tee to green, conditions continue to be top notch here. Greens are smooth and fast.
Tee boxes lush and level. Fairways and rough lush with the rough being 3"-5".
They also have great practice facilities...driving range, two chipping areas, large putting area.
They are making some changes out here. First one being the elimination of GPS units on the golf carts. Second:They have marked the fairways with 200, 150 and 100 yardage markers in the center of the fairways. There are small boulders on the edges of the fairways indicating where the markers are. Also, the cart paths are marked.
This is a change in my favor since I walk and now have , in addition to my handheld GPS unit, markers to verify yardages.

Played w/sr129 (Steve) on Sat 12/1. He had a coupon for $33 green fee. This is an outstanding deal for this golf course.
This is the first time I've played here since the bunkers have been worked. What an improvement! Fluffy sand and nicely groomed. Steve made a couple of great shot out of them by the way. Fairways and rough were lush with the rough around 3"-5". Greens were medium. The rain from the previous day slowed them down a bit. The only complaint I have is the tee boxes. Some were on the thin side and the par 3 boxes are severely not level.
I hope this is on the to do list and will fixed soon.
One other thing, the snack shack off the 10th tee has never been open any time I've played there. If the course management doesn't want to man it, consign it out to another party. You need something out there since you don't come back to the club house at the turn.

Played here Friday 10/26. After being closed for 3 weeks for over seeding, this place is in great shape. Pace of play was pretty good...4hrs despite being cart path only.
Tee boxes are level and lush. Fairways are lush with descent roll. The bunkers have fresh fluffy sand. Greens are fast and smooth. I have to hand it to the greenskeepers, they have done a remarkable job.

Played here 10/18 w/ Sbogey and mnehls86. Had a fun round. Matt gave a pretty detailed review. I will add this..I was a bit surprised how inconsistent the green speeds were. Also, some were a bit bumpy. I loved the layout...played here around 12 years ago and forgot how much fun it was.

Played here 10/14. This being one of the few local tracks not aerating or over-seeding, everyone and his mother was out there. Started out as a foursome, finished 6hrs later as a group of six. I was seeing groups of 5 all day long.
Condition of the course was just ok. Tee boxes mostly level and lush. Some dry spots on the fairways. Bunkers were thin. Greens a bit bumpy and slow.
Despite getting a great deal at C4TT ($20), the 6hr round had me wishing it was over by the 10th hole.

Played here 6/6. Conditions were next to immaculate. Only thing holding back a better rating were the greens. Still healing from aerification back in mid-May. Another week and they will be perfect.
Pace of play is an issue here. A lot of mid to large groups (20+) playing right now...no doubt taking advantage of the non-peak rates and the low 90 temps. You're looking at 5-6 hours for a round...during the week.

Ever try to putt on a table top? That is how I would describe the greens here. Super firm and fast. Couldn't hold a shot and three putts all day long. One of the gentlemen playing with us said he never putted from the back of so many greens in his life.

Beside the penal greens, the conditions of the course were better than good. Tee boxes level, with lush grass. Fairways in great shape and a 3" rough w/o bare spots.

You drive up to a beautiful club house expecting a level of customer service comensurate to the scenery surrounding you. Not today anyway.
Tee boxes, fairways and rough in great shape. Bunkers and greens; not so much. Bunkers had hard clay in them making it impossible to get any sand behind the ball. The greens were fast and mostly smooth. However, the divot damage was next to extreme. It may be since they started areating today, folks decided not to fix their divots.
Other then the 100+ temps, and fatigue of driving from Hemet, I had a great time.
