Played 11/18 and 11/20. Same pin positions both days? but oddly didn't seem to affect anything, you'd think the greens would've been damaged around the cups, but they were fine.

Very fun golf course. Clubhouse and golf carts are no frills, but they get the job done. $70 to ride is a very fair price. Incredible views from the blue tee boxes, do yourself a favor and at least walk back to some of them for the view, even if you're playing the whites. Target golf for sure and local knowledge is helpful. Reminds of Laughlin Ranch quite a bit. All the staff were friendly: proshop, snack bar, starter, "spotter" on hole 6, Marshalls and beverage cart all did a great job!

Conditions are good to very good all around. Blue tees were great, very good coverage and level for the most part.

Fairways were great, good cushion, proper rollout and great coverage, didn't have a bad lie either day.

Traps didn't "look" that good with the brown sand they use, but they were just fine, no problems whatsoever.

Greens putted smooth and had a lot of subtle to big breaks in them. They didn't hold short shots/chips very well, but full shots held with no problem. They were firm, so they didn't make big ball marks, but everyone seems to be doing a good job fixing them.

Some lakes/water features were filled with nice clean water, but the one the left on #12 was pretty nasty and only 25% full.

Not too much rough, it goes to desert pretty quickly. But there was just enough rough to stop your ball from "rolling" in if you were just offline with your teeshots.

Highly recommend if you get a chance to play. I wouldn't say it's a destination course, but if you're out there for some other activity like wakeboarding/boating/fishing/offroading, I'd bring your clubs and take a morning off to play for sure.

Played yesterday as we got Columbus Day off from work. Last minute decided to head over there around 9:15 am and put my name on the waitlist. It was a busy day, but I got sent off with three awesome guys at 10:13. Good customer service all around, especially from Arta in the proshop, he was great. POP was surprisingly good at 4hrs. We did wait quite a bit on the back nine, but overall it was much better than I thought.

Blue Teeboxes are quite a mess. Uneven and tons of divot damage on pretty much all holes. #3 was moved way up to the whites and a couple of others were moved up, too.

Fairways were a mixed bag. I had some horrible dirt lies and quite a bit of good lies, so it's a crapshoot, for sure. They looked ok from a distance and most of the normal landing areas were ok, but with the tees moved up a couple times, the landing areas were farther foward than normal and there was some poor coverage in those areas. They did offer some decent rollout and will probably be much better in a few weeks as it looks like they are doing quite a bit of work.

Didn't find any bunkers, but they looked pretty good.

Rough was not very tall or penal, but I didn't find too much of it as I missed two fairways by a combined 3 Feet , so I was just barely off.

Greens were all pretty good. They held shots amazingly well and are coming back nicely from the maintenance last month. A few of them were absolutely perfect, so in a few more weeks, I suspect all of them will be very nice. They rolled fairly smooth and at moderate to fast pace.

$35 walking rate is a great deal for this course. When it gets back into better shape, it's always an easy recommend.

Played yesterday, Wed. 9/14 at 11am. Underpar voucher for $54. POP wasn't an issue, the course wasn't busy and we took our time, never waited on any shot. Course is in overall good condition and will get even better in the next few weeks as they are continuing to make improvements.

Blue teeboxes were all great, nice and level.
Fairways were excellent, never had a bad lie all day. Fairly soggy from the recent heat, so I imagine they will get better as things start to cool down.
Didn't find a bunker, but they looked just fine and the grounds crew were out there detailing the edges and working on them to make them even better.
Rough was fairly lush, but not that long. Definitely made you think about the shot from the rough and put some extra energy into hitting down on the ball.
Greens were smooth and held shots very well, but they were a little soggy and very slow. Pretty much my only complaint is the slowness of the greens. Once the weather cools down and they can lay off the water, they will be fantastic.

Didn't see a beverage cart, but the restaurant was open with great service.

Highly recommend this course. Great layout and generally a good price point.

I was invited to play in another great scramble tournament yesterday at this great private club. This isn't a pretentious atmosphere, whatsoever. I've played here many times over the past 30 years and always have a blast. Conditions were about the same as we had last tournament. Greens are always great here. Very receptive and putt extremely true with hardly ever any bumpiness. They're a little tricky to read, but that adds to the challenge of this course as it's not very long. The par 3's are all very challenging.

Fairways are nearly perfect. Great cushion with adequate roll. No complaints.

Didn't find a bunker, but they looked great.

Teeboxes were all level and had plenty of coverage.

Rough was moderate length and didn't look too difficult to hit out of. We were playing a scramble, so the two times we missed the fairway, we were able to place the ball in a nice spot. It does get thick and juicy, so beware.

Customer service was excellent!!! They do a great job handling huge tournaments.

If you're ever invited to play, don't pass it up. Nice ocean breezes and a great layout. Highly recommend.

Got out yesterday, Sunday as a walk on single. I seem to have good luck getting out on Sunday. I called the starter around 11am and he said there's a tourney going out from noon to 1:20, so he said come by around 1ish and I might have some luck. Well, he got me right out with another single so we took our sweet time and enjoyed the day.

Teeboxes were a little beat up for some reason. They had a couple of them moved way up and then most of them were moved way back. The par three's all were pretty ragged. The par4 and par5 tees were a little better, but still a little uneven and had some divot damage.

Fairways were just fine, no problems at all. Most of them in fact were in excellent shape. Good roll and perfect cushion.

Rough wasn't too penal at all. Barely noticed it. Even around the greens it was fairly short.

Greens were above average. They rolled true, but were spongy and a little slow. Held shots perfectly.

Didn't find a bunker, but they looked ok.

Customer service great on all levels. Beverage cart came by three times.

POP was under 5hrs, which was just fine. We knew it would be a little slow, which is generally the case at Nado. All and all, get out there. Fun course and great views.

Played Friday, 7/29, at 3pm. $50 to ride on their website. POP was at 4.5hrs, no problem and didn't wait too much at all, just the first 4 holes a little wait. Back nine is a lot more fun than the front nine in my opinion.

Teeboxes were all nice and level, very little divot damage, no complaints.

Fairways were not good, lots of ground under repair. Not sure why they let them go as they were very nice a month ago.

Sand traps were nice, good fluffy sand in the one bunker that I found.

Rough was just fine, not very thick and not very long, so pretty easy to find your ball and get a club on it.

Greens were definitely the highlight. They rolled true and fast. Held shots very well!!

Customer service great all around. Saw the marshal once and the bev cart twice. I like the course. The back nine is really good. Good price point and usually great weather. Recommend, but maybe wait awhile until they fix their issues with the fairways.

Played Saturday, 7/9, 8:30am, POP 4.5hrs, $48 to walk.

Course as usual is in decent playable condition. The greens were great, 8/10. Held shots well and were smooth with good medium-fast pace. Definitely the highlight of the course. Teeboxes were also good, no complaints. I found one bunker and it was nice, good fluffy sand. There's not much rough to speak of, it's playable off the fairway. The fairways were a total mixed bag. Crazy as about half of the fairway is great, unbelievably nice grass and then there's big patches of dirt, no grass, mud, etc. These areas should be marked GUR, but they aren't, so I had to play it down a couple of times where it lies and was very unfair. If they would get these large patches of dirt/mud figured out, then the course would be in overall fantastic shape. It's an enjoyable layout, couple of short par 4's that I don't like, but other than that it's very fun. Service was all just fine.

Played yesterday, 6/11 at 12:30pm Got the JC rate from my buddy, $71 to ride was worth it, they took a few bucks off due to recent aeration of the greens.

POP right at 4.5 hrs, so not too bad. Everything was in good to very good condition except the greens. Tees level and good coverage. Fairways were pretty good, nice green and good roll, didn't find any bad lies, although a couple of my playing partners found some divot lies. Greens were very slow and bumpy due to aeration last week. But they were playable and better than I thought they would be. They did hold shots very well!! Rough wasn't very penal, only a couple inches long. I didn't find any bunkers, but they looked good. Saw the beverage cart two times and customer service all around was good. It's not one of my favorite courses, but it's fun. Wouldn't pay the rack rate $105 i think, but $71 to ride on a weekend is worth it.

Got lucky and Brian from my SD Golf group had an opening. Saturday, 6/4, at 6:10am. Perfect weather to play, not much wind and not much morning dew. Played the green tees and they were pretty good for the most part, a couple of them were not very level, so took a few seconds to search for a good spot. Fairways were good to very good. Good roll and perfect cushion. Traps were very good, a little wet, but played very well, I found four of them greenside and didn't have any problems. Rough was cut down and manageable. Quite a few brown spots, but nothing to worry about, although I only missed one fairway, so didn't seem to be an issue. Greenside rough was just fine, no heavy stuff and not much of an issue. Greens were rolling very well and fast. They held short irons ok, but long irons had 5yds release at least. They were firm and not many ball marks due to how hard they were. $80 resident rate to walk is still great value. POP was 4hrs, we waited quite a bit on the group in front of us which were the first out. Met a couple of really nice guys from my SD Golf group, of course I talked about Greenskeeper with them, so hopefully they will join this group as well. Overall highly recommend for residents. Visitor rates are still too high to justify.

Got a last minute invite to play from a long time friend who's a member. Played Friday, 5/20, so the review is a few days late. Teed off at 12:30 and finished right at 4:30. POP is rarely ever an issue here, the members play fast. I believe the guest fee is around $100, but my buddy wouldn't let me pay, so I covered drinks and food for the day.

Course is super fun, always a delight to play here. Don't pass on the opportunity if it comes your way. Conditions are always good to great. Nothing super spectacular, but never any problems. Teeboxes were all nice and level, plenty of coverage, very little divot damage. Fairways were super nice, just perfect. Found one bunker greenside and it was just fine, no problems whatsoever. Rough was lush and a few inches high, bermuda is coming back in strong, tighten your grip and swing down firm. Greens looked like they were aerated last month. Still showing a little sign of the punch marks, but putts still rolled true and they were very fast!! Tricky greens here and the cups were placed in some very precarious positions. Had a drink in the wonderful bar upstairs. Customer service always top notch here.

I got a late invite from some new buddies to join them 7am this past Saturday, April 30. Beautiful morning, hardly any wind for the front nine. Check in was easy as usual and off we went right on time. POP was great!! 4hrs.!! I'm not used to playing here in the mornings, so it was great to see this POP. We saw a marshal once and beverage cart once on the back.

Everything is in pretty good shape right now. Greens are still a little bumpy from the aeration a few weeks ago, but they were faster than before. Couple more weeks and they should be back to great shape. Quite a few unrepaired ball marks.

Teeboxes were moved way up, we played the whites. They were fine, nice and level with minimal divot damage.

Found one bunker on 4 greenside and I was plugged, fried egg. and there's still footprints everywhere. Come on people, use the rakes. I was able to get the ball out because the sand is fairly new and fluffy.

Rough was fairly non-existent. Wasn't penal at all. Easy to play from.

$43 to walk on a weekend is well worth it. Always a pleasure to play Coronado, just a fun time with great views. New crew I played with was also a joy.

Played Easter Sunday, $64 with cart was about as good as you can do in OC on a holiday.
Previous review from Dconnally is spot on, not much to add. Greens were bumpy, fairways were acceptable, teeboxes were ok, found one bunker and it was playable. Everything about the course screams mediocrity. No beverage cart, so good thing we BYOB today. POP was the best part of the round, 4hrs. Only reason why we played is it's close to my parent's house and I met my brother for Easter. Fun for a casual round, but that's about it.
