Wow. Hansen Dam is looking VERY nice lately. Construction is just about finished. All new cart paths & all new irrigation system. You can already see the difference on the course. It's not as crowded and plays much smoother & quicker than other City courses such as Griffith Park or Rancho Park. And they are usually on time! Imagine that for a City course. And the best burger & fries around. Friendly staff. Check this course out if you haven't played it yet.

Everyone always says Woodley is easy & boring. I want to know what they shot. Woodley is very long and not at all boring. It's actually in very good shape right now too. Not very crowded here either. Don't know why. Woodley has the best driving range around. Grass range. Open late. If you haven't played here you must try it. Very wide fairways. Large smooth greens. But whatever you do, DO NOT GO INTO THE BAR & ORDER DRINKS. The most expensive drinks I've ever seen!

Great course. One of the most underated courses around! You can pretty much get out here & Woodley Lakes without a tee time. Even on weekends the wait isn't bad compared to many other local courses. Used to be a member of the Men's Club here. Don't bother joining here! Switched to Woodley's club. Much, much. much better. Far more organized. No constant b$tch ing & complaining in this club. Great lunch buffet at Hansen Dam though! Clubhouse/bar much better at Hansen Dam. Woodley's clubhouse/bar is a major RIP OFF!

Great courses here as long as you get past the torture of checking in! Played here the other morning & the Starter was out smoking right next to the sign that said this is a non-smoking facility. Two staff members were out there smoking while a long line was standing there waiting to check in. I got to the front of the line when the Starter said something to me. I couldn't hear him because between the pro shop (where you check in from) and the Starter is this thick acrylic glass wall. When I said "excuse me?" he was really irritated I didn't hear him. Then when I got my receipt I asked if the tee was running late (because it usually is & I would have ordered breakfast if it was). He got pissed off again & said "just listen for your number!". This isn't the first time the Starter has been a jerk. Who the hell is running this place. Please give the staff some customer service training. By the way, great courses to play!

Will someone please put the snack bar phone number on the scorecard so we can call for the Marshal when we need him? That's the ONLY time we see him EVERY time we play! I want a job that pays me to stand drinking coffee all day. Well, at least the pace of play is great in the snack bar!

I agree with the guy below. This is said to be one of the best courses in the city and the busiest in the country. It must be because of it's location. This course is horrible. Awesome layout but the conditions sucked. The customer service was not very good either. I'll stick with Woodley Lakes or Hansen Dam.

Why.... Why.... Why do I still come here every now & then? Probably because I love the layout so much. That's the ONLY reason. The pace of play SUCKS. The customer service REALLY sucks. I don't know... I will probably be back.

The best L.A. City course to play by far. It's in great shape right now. The greens haven't been this nice in a long time. I walked up on a Friday morning with a twosome. We had to wait a while but the Starter was great and actually walked into the clubhouse to find us because we couldn't hear our names being called. The girl in the clubhouse was awesome too. The workers from other L.A. City courses should go to Hansen Dam and learn how to treat customers. Tee boxes & sand bunkers need a little help but overall this a a great public course.

Harding is a very nice course & plays at least 30 minutes faster than Wilson. Wilson seems to be more popular but Harding is just as nice. Beautiful lay-outs. What's up with the management though? Every time I come here I'm treated like a criminal. Some of their starters have attitude problems. I got to the pro shop 20 minutes before my tee time & there was a long line to the starter's window. By the time I got to the front it was 13 minutes before my tee time. The starter said my time was almost sold to someone else & to get here earlier next time. I told them about the line & they said it doesn't matter. Unbelievable! And I only saw the marshal 2 times. Once at the snack bar & once at the bar. It's too bad because the 2 courses here are great championship golf courses & are usually in pretty good shape concidering the amount of play they get.

Great course! Awsome views. Plays very slow though. Nobody cared because it's a beautiful course. Great prices too.

Great golf course. Very busy though. Get out as early as possible because they get really busy. Tee boxes are kind of rough but this county course is one of the best around.

I like this course. Right now the fairways are VERY dry because of a water shortage but give it a little time. Great staff in the pro shop and in the clubhouse. Green fees are a little high. On weekends you have to rent a cart. Nice fast greens. Great water holes. Nice facility.
