Played 05/26/12 Sat. Great Course! Great Customer Service! Love the layout. Has many water hazards. Love the par 3 nineth hole with club house on the left and water hazard to the left. One time we had lunch at the club house after ninth hole and that was the greatest relaxations we had. 18th hole is also a breath taking... hitting your tee shot at highest point which is around 200 feet... great hole to finish. Love to go back again soon.

Played 05/12/12 - They always have great customer services. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Bit slow on certain greens but overall good greens. Sometimes they do place the hole on a challenging areas...our group all had 3 to 5 putts on 12 hole. Bunkers are just OK. This course do have several water hazards. Not a long course and could have a great score if you keep your shots on the fairways. Don't get greedy then you might have good score.

Played on Sat 05/19/12 - went out right before 3:00pm and the starter gave us a break and gave us twight light rate. Thanks. Overall condition of the course are in decent shape except the greens. They are mostly bumpy. Guess they didn't roll down the greens. Fairways are pretty good. This course do have many fairway bunkers and trees to give you some challenges. They do have several long par 4s. Overall this is pretty fun course to play. This course need improvement on greens. Service was alright. With similar green fees, I would prefer Rio Hondo Golf course.

Played Friday 04/09 afternoon with aeration special $27/person. We thought the greens should be OK after 2 weeks but we were wrong. Greens are bad right now. Would wait at least two more weeks before playing this course. I normally love to play this course but not Friday. They must not be doing anything on this course until the greens are recover, fairways and rest of the course conditions are below the average. We played few holes on North course as replay rate. Greens are healing very nicely. Speed is normal. Fairways are better than South course. Wait couple of more weeks on South course. North course is OK to play now.

Played 03/25 Thur afternoon. This course is good course to walk. About 6300 yds.
This course has narrow fairways and several water hazards. You need to have good tee shorts or will experience high scores. Fairways are in good shape. Greens are semi-hard. Green speed is normal to fast. Certain pin placements were bit tricky... might easily get 3 putts. Fun course, need to know the layout to have good score.

Played Sat 03/20. Met up with another two-sum and found out one of them is a GK member, stickboy. Wow, I was so happy to meet up with one of fellow members. Both of them were a gentleman and fun to play with. Nice birdiessssss, Vince!
Fairways have dried up about 80%. Still have some soggy areas but mostly playable.
Greens are in decent shape and speed is normal. Bunkers are so so... one with wet sands and another without much sands. Pace were very slow in the front nine. Had to all the marshall to speed up the pace. Back nine was little better or my partner and I were just too tired to notice. Bit tough to walk this course. Took almost 6 hours.

Played Sat 03/13. Overall condition on the course is in good shape. Fairways are OK. Very few minor bare spots. Greens are normal speed. Didn't see too many ball marks or damage areas on the green. They have kept it well. Bunkers are OK. Wasn't crowded as we expected. Finished the round in less than 5 hours. Will go back again soon.

Played Sat 10/24. This course is long but flat course. Fairways are good. Greens are healing nicely. Give another week or two. Bunkers are OK. Normally it will take you 5 hours to play this course. This course does allow 5 soms. Don't come here if you want fast round. Customer services are great especially David in the front desk.

Played Sat 10/10. First time playing this course. This is mostly tree-lined course. If you have bad tee shot day, you will have tough day. There are few holes with water hazards which make the round interesting. Course is around 6360 yds from the blue tees. Eventhought the course is flat and not long, with tree-lined fairways and water hazards, this is not easy course. Fairways are in very good condition. Bunkers are OK too. Greens are about normal speed. Their par 3 holes are not easy. Either water hazards play a part or pretty long par 3s. Couple of holes with 194 yds, 204 and 232 yds. Customer service was good. Price is bit higher than other course. Definitely go back again.

Played Sat 09/26/09. The course was aerated on Monday thus they have aerated special, $28 to walk and additional $9 to ride. We decided to come here because they have beautiful course and cool weather, 73 degree. Perfect weather. We were all thankful that we didn't have to play golf at 100+ weather in LA. Olivas Links has beautiful fairways. This course is basically flat course. Great to walk. Has ocean breeze. Bunkers were OK. Greens, aerated but normally very good with normal speed.
Customer services are great. They do not have club house just temporary trailer house. Definitely thumbs up course, GK rating 8. We will definitely go back.

Played Saturday 09/19/09. They rasied the rate once again to $64/person with cart.
We thought it was $62. I am not sure whether they have enough people playing this course or not. There was a tournament in front of us thus delayed our tee off time by 20 minutes. Customer services are always good here. Fairways are in very good shape with only few brown spots. Greens are very good. Speed is normal. Bunkers are OK, too. Speed was bit slow. Took little more than 5 1/2 hours. Everyone was taking their times and enjoying the beautiful day. Nobody was rushing it. With a nice breeze, it was very relaxing day. Everything was great. I give 6.75 GK ratings. Would play here more often if the rate is bit lower.

Played Friday 07/03. First we couldn't decide whether to play Sterling Hills or this course Olivas Links. With the help from our fellow GK members, we decided to try this course. We loved it! It would be even great if we actually walk this course. This is very flat but with many rough hazards and fairway bunkers. Fairways are Great! We really loved the fairways... best fariways we have seen for long time. Greens are alright. Normal to slow speed. Not too much breaks on the greens. I would say, pretty easy putts on the greens. Bunkers are OK. I think I went in only two or three times. Roughs are tough. Roughs are long and very hard to find your balls. Most of time, you just have to take a drop. Most of us clean out our old golf balls. Luckly, I only lost one ball. One thing I fall in love with was their chairs on each tee boxes. I believe they have two chairs on every tee boxes. First, I couldn't understand why they have a chair a their logo on their score cards. They are very comfortable chairs. I would love to sit there and slip a nice cold ice tea... maybe with a cigar. Customer services are great. We will definitely go back. We would walk next time we go there. Thumbs up on Olivas Links!
And thanks again to our GK members for recommending this course to us.
