A very well kept golf course, didn't have a bad lie all day even in the rough. The fairways and greens were in great condition with putts rolling true and speed was neither slow nor fast. Most of the greens slope from back to front so hitting short of the hole makes a good game. There are some flatter spots on some of the greens that are still tricky, but this is the fairest two putt course I've seen in awhile where you get a judge-able 2 foot putt with no tricks. Overall this is flat track with pretty much flat lies. The rough plays easy if you can bring your club down sharply on the back of the ball. It's not a particularly challenging course but has some interesting holes and is a fun course.

Relatively inexpensive and a fun course. Not the prettiest fairways I've played on but adequate. Greens were in pretty decent shape, but I wasn't too happy with one pin, I think it was the 17th hole, that you could not stop a downhill putt on. There is a par five on the back side that is interesting and fun when you get used to it. You tee off downhill and have to hit a blind draw if you want to go for it, then a shot 20 yards short of the green that will bounce and stay on, the real fun is ringing the BIG BELL to let the group behind you know they can hit.

This is a relatively short course that tries to compensate by setting pins in tough positions and even unfair positions. Greens are small and heavily protected. The rough is too tall and thick very near the hole and you will lose your ball in many areas near the hole. I just don't think you should have a blind shot that results in a lost ball five feet from a green. Despite this the course is fun to play with interesting shots from fairways, uphill downhill and sidehill. It does get frustrating, though, after you find yourself three putting greens because of non recommended pin placement and variation in green speeds. Less than a handful of times have I seen decent pins, one of those was because the USGA set the pins for a small tournament.

This is a short course good for short hitters, but has small well protected greens and a habit of placing pins in non recommended places that make putting tougher than it should be at times. You can't beat the the course for views and it's country setting with lots of uphill, sidehill, downhill shots. Fairways are reasonably wide with too many in course out of bounds stakes. Conditions vary with the season and greens can be smooth and fast to bumpy and slow. Find out when the big tournaments are and play before and after them to get the best conditions. Also, if you can walk the course so you can ride in the funicular (sideways tram car) up the hill to the 14th green. It's a has a great view of the lake and area.

I like this course. Sure it's a bit short and a bit ragged but if you just relax and go with it it's a fun course with some fun holes. I can't remember what number hole but there is a par three that rivals any hole in golf, looking off a 200 foot cliff out the bay and with the Golden Gate in the opposite direction. There's a sign there that says don't hit golf balls off the cliff, but who can resist!

This is hilly course and a enjoyable course. You get a lot of shot variety here in a woodsy setting. It has a lot of interesting holes, dog legs, up hill, downhill and a little bit of water to deal with.

The south course here is the cheaper of two courses, both are pretty reasonably priced. The area is pretty much clay. In summer if you walk or even just look you can see big cracks in the lots in the area from the ground getting dry. It surprises me how well they do to keep that problem minimized on the golf course.

I liked the greens they are pretty smooth and decently fast. The only issue I have is the sand traps, they are are the stickiest hardest traps to get out of. If you are playing here for the first time go as thin as you can when you do a shot where you take sand. It took me three to four shots to get out of two greenside traps and I mostly get out in one shot at other courses. Better yet if you can find a trap to take a couple of practice shots before you start, do it, they are different.

It ain't Pebble Beach but that's a good thing because I can afford this one. It's a pretty well maintained course with some great ocean views at a really good price. Sure there are a couple of holes that were kind of forced in the shape they had to deal with, but still not bad holes.

There's not much rough to deal with on this course but the trees can get you.

This course used to be a great value till they raised the greens fees this year by about 12 dollars to 36 dollars weekdays. The really great thing about this course is that the greens always put great. They are very smooth and you won't see your ball doing any dances on it's way to to the cup.

The fairways could be better but I'd say they are average with a tendency to get dry and hard as you get to the sides of them. The course is a good variation of hilly and flat and the holes are all unique.

I'd call the 16th hole the signature hole because it is a par five that starts off on a mountain and you hit down to the hole. It narrows about 260 yards down the hill and widens again beyond the trees. There's not a lot of trouble on this hole but the tendency is to swing hard because it looks open. The odd thing about this hole is there is a choice of two greens at the end of the hole. If you play straight to the green it's a stroke of two easier than the elevated green to the right.
