In all around good shape. Consistent conditions throughout the course. Fairways lush for the most part. Greens rolled well with decent speed. Tasty good hot at the snack bar. Customer service great.

The last in a four course, 72 hole, 2 day heat & humidity fest in the desert, this course was by far the best of the four. In the brutal summer heat Firecliff was in very good shape tee thru the greens. Nothing negative to report. Got a great walk up rate of $34.
In second place - Escena for $29. Greens rolled true & smooth. Fairways a bit splotchy.
Third place goes to Indian Canyons for $20. Fairways similar to Escena. Greens were good but not all that smooth.
In last place, for $22, is Cimmaron. Splotchy & rough shape. Holes, on the greens, clearly have not been moved in probably a week or so. Horrible bunkers with excessive amounts of sand and no maintenance to them.

Played 8/6. Greens near perfect, although not as fast as they normally are. Fairways are a bit thin, with some patchy areas. Rough is practically nonexistent. Minimum water is being used to maintain both courses here. If you miss the fairway you will be looking for your ball because there is usually nothing to stop it from rolling into the junk. Water levels in the lakes are down about 8 feet. It's dry, but still very playable. Customer service is always great.

Not a complaint because it made scoring easier, but the greens are unusually slow. We had numerous downhill putts that came up short of the hole. Not the norm here at ANGC. Rest of the course in very good condition with the exception of some inconsistent greenside bunkers. Some extremely thin with small rocks hiding underneath & some perfectly nice.

May 21st. Greens were thin, grainy and running slow. Unusual for ANGC. Rest of the course in good shape. Fairways nice. Lots of sand in the bunkers. Customer service always good.

Overall the course is in it's usual excellent shape. Only noticeable difference was the thick, juicy, sticky, three inch rough around the greens. If you don't accelerate through the shot you become unhappy. As a twosome we breezed through in under four hours & got a killer deal on GolfNow for $44 teeing off at noon.

The greens have been sanded prior to the aeration to take place next week. Speeds were very slow. So was the pace of play. The rest of the course in fairly decent shape with exception of the bunkers which were very thin & hard. I did notice a nice pile of sand piled on a cart path which I assume will eventually find it's way into some bunkers.

Played Canyon Crest & Creekside Nov. 19. Canyon Crest had two greens aerated and sanded. Other than that the greens were very nice, smooth and running medium fast. The fairways, usually very nice, were a bit on the patchy chewed up side. My first time on the Creekside nine. There are some funky layouts there. Reminded me of the old "Cascades" in Sylmar. The Creekside is my least favorite of the three nines. Pace was great as we got in 36 teeing off at 7 am. Ridgeline was closed. Not sure if it was for aeration. Good customer service.

Showed up to the surprise that the greens have just been punched & sanded. GK's aeration alert showed nothing prior to my arrival. Pro shop was nice enough to give me the resident rate of $30 with cart & balls. Fantastic layout & great scenery along the bottom of the mountains. Will return when the greens recover.

Having not played here in quite some time, I was pleasantly surprised to find the course in very good condition. Fairways were they best I can remember. Greens rolling true, a bit slow at times, and many un-repaired pitch marks. Pace was excellent at 4.5 hours. For an L.A. City course - pretty dang good. Give 'er a go.

Played yesterday, Sunday, at 6am. Why? Anyway, tee boxes a bit scruffy at times with some serious divot damage on the par 3's. Fairways were thin in many areas, patchy and good at times. A mixed bag. The two bunkers I was in were good except for the incredible amount of un-raked footprints. Greens were soft, medium speed and rolled well. Pace of play was 4 hours. $60 with a cart. The driving range fence along the 18th hole is riddled with many large holes. Beware !

My first time playing here and I loved it. Great practice areas. The whole course is in great condition. The very soft greens rolled smoothly but were quite slow. Friendly customer service. Looking forward to going back.
