I've played this course half a dozen times in the last year (since it opened). We knew it'd happen....THEY'VE RAISED THE GREEN FEES ($3 TO $58). Minimal, but probably just the beginning of many more to come. It is a wonderful setting. Fairways are hard so you get tons of roll. Greens still immature so they hold no shots. Bunkers were many times mud from overwatering of course in general. Nothing wrong with course, but I prefer Tijeras Creek. One thing I will say...make sure you know where pins are. Sign at starter said they were in #2 position, but on holes 6 and 7, the pins were not in the number 2 position. Killed my approach on #6 (blind up hillshot on three tiered green) which i left on lowest tier, cuz that's position #2, but the pin was in back of middle area of green which was a whole 'nother tier higher. NOT POSITION #2. Oh well.

The more I play this course, the more I enjoy it! Course is in generally nice shape. Under 4 hours is about the right pace for mid morning 4 some. No complaints here!

This is a very good course that has the challenges and the risk reward for great shotmaking around the course. Had a very comfortable tee time in the mid-morning on a Saturday and were able to breeze through the round, except for the short par 4s which seemed to cause the groups ahead to play poorly.
Was impressed with the layout and design and pleased by the overall condition of the course. Greens seemed a bit too hard and I found the bunker sand to be of great quality (and I found them too often).

Played 4/26. The course is great except the fairways could use some grass on them. Beautiful views,glad I didn't see any rattlesnakes or mountain lions. And could someone please shut up those annoying... Continue »

Played 4/27 from the tips after a nice, heavy morning rain. The staff said the 17th fairway looked like a river instead of a golf hole earlier that morning. However, we found the course a little wet, but certainly playable. Enjoyed the layout and the green fees were reasonable for a new course of this quality. Excellent par 5's, some monster par 3's and one very solid par 4 on the back. Only two poor par 4's put a black mark on the design. Looks like the architect ran out of room or lost interest on a few holes. Found the greens to be fine, especially for new ones. After some poa takes hold, they'll repair quicker and the ball marks won't be quite the problem. If folks would repair their marks it wouldn't be a concern anyway. Staff was very professional. I'll play it again and recommend it to others.

This course is a great layout. It's callenging yet fair to the average golfer.
