4/12 on an overcast but extremely pleasant morning teed off at 810 with a roughly 4 hr POP following a 4some of older and somewhat infirm golfers who moved slowly but seemed to have good golf awareness as they moved to their ball and completed their shot without undue delay. Had no pressure from behind as the group following was a hole plus to the rear. So as a 3 some we in a very comfortable zone and taking into account that 1 or more of us occasionally did not find the fairway or the green in regulation we played at a nice pace.
Fairways are mostly dormant having a thin appearance but gave very good cushion and were excellent for irons but a little tight at times for fairway metals. Quite a few unfilled divots--sad considering quality divot mix is provided.
The rough is healthy. Along the fairways not too long and generally playable. The further away and on slopes the deeper and more difficult it became. Also here the greens are surrounded by heavy rough at times somewhat clumpy and often 3 inches deep. So you can miss the green by a yard be 3 inches from the fringe and the ball has the top dimes worth visible on a downslope to of course a shortsided pin. Also on the topic the front of every green is defended by 5-10 yards of 2-3 inch rough which is often on an upslope as well. Needless to say the shot that is hit shot stays short.
Tees in good shape and bunkers have high quality sand that was groomed to start the day but without rakes quickly shows the effect of traffic.
The greens are at least 98% recovered are very healthy in appearance rolling at medium-medium/fast speed with a little more grain to factor in as it seemed the break was amplified as the ball slowed, so definitely was important to putt through the hole and keep it more centered. Course uses a 6 zone pin placement and with the size of the greens allows for great variety and some very challenging settings.
Layout is good with a more remote feeling even with houses nearby. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Played today. POP was a good 4 hours. Course supposed to have aerated the week of 3/22. Greens still have not completely healed. Aeration holes are still visible and bumpy. So putts are not yet rolling true. Possibly another week and they should be pristine.

Other parts of the course are in nice condition. Most bunkers are filled with fluffy sand. Staff as always pleasant and friendly.

Teed off early this morning at a little after 6. There was another group in front of us and as we were on the tee a 2some pulled up behind us so we let them go ahead. Pace was awesome. As we were on the 18th tee box the group behind us was on the 15th tee box.

Fairways are pretty dormant so there was a lot of roll if you found them. In fact I nearly drove the 1st green. They were firm but not so firm that your club would bounce on them. You could still take divots. On a side note the up hill par 5 13th hole no the back no longer has that waste area. I'm not sure that was anyone's previous review.

Greens were posted at 10.5 which I have no idea what that means but they seemed pretty slow for my liking. Quite a bit a slope but with the speed I don't think there were any bad places to miss.

We played the black tees and I thought they were all moved up quite a bit. There was a Future Champions tourney that started as we made the turn and as we finished the range and putting green was packed with kids. It's been a while since I've seen that many people together.

Bunkers were ok. Some needed to be raked and some were raked so it was a crap shoot. Pretty good sand to get out of too.

Price might be a little above my liking but it's a good change of pace course and certainly a good test of golf.

2/1 slight overcast but very pleasant overall. POP 4 hr with more waiting on the back 9. Friendly check in. Nice practice area for chipping including bunker and large putting green about the same speed as on course. Soft mats on DR, interactive GPS and sand bottles on cart which apparently many players have forgotten how to use as there are way too many unfilled divots. Segway to fairways which are dormant giving good roll but some thin lies but soft ground underneath which leads to some big divots. Some areas on the wet side and there was some type of organic fertilizer which consisted of small dirt balls(not from plugs) spread over random areas which frequently adhered to the ball. Rough cut down along fairways but long and juicy on slopes around greens.
Tees ok with some damage on the par 3s. Bunkers have a lot of deep heavy sand.
Greens have some camo coloring and appear to be doing ok even with the amount of play and lack of attention to ball mark repair. They appear somewhat fragile but roll pretty well with just occasional bumpiness.

1/11 on a just don't get better than this SC morning. Just under 4 hr POP with no waiting. Joined by Greg and Jake with Jake playing a practice round ahead of a mini tour event Wed and Thurs--of course he played the tips and was out driving the rest of us by an easy 100 often having no more than a wedge in--pretty impressive to watch and he could putt too.
Fairways are rather dormant but still have good cushion with extra roll out. According to their newsletter they are putting in extra effort to fill divots--cudos for that. Rough gets sticky around the greens. Bunkers mostly are groomed and many are having improved sand added. Fairway bunkers could be more firm in my opinion. Tees are ok with the par 3s showing some wear however.
Greens are good and getting better as the cover seems be better and more durable. Greens are a challenge with more than enough slope and undulation to keep it very interesting.
Easy friendly check in, good mats on the range, large chipping area and bunker for sand practice, large practice green and good carts with GPS and snack cart making the rounds.

Played Arrowood on 1/10/2021. Overall course is in good winter shape. The fairways are dormant and somewhat thin but provide a lot of roll. Greens are a soft and therefore a little bumpy with some pitch marks but still roll fairly true (greens here are hard for me to read). Rough is inconsistent some spots fairly deep but mostly thin. Overall the course has very large fairways and greens and not alot of rough before the ball is unplayable/out of bounds. Happy to see they have re-installed sod on number 13 (the only back nine par five). It has been flowers/cactus stuff but that is now removed and there is sod. Currently playing as ground under repair while it grows in. Fairly routine Covid check in and masks required in doors and main hub areas (not so sure on how strictly this is being enforced). Cart person came around a bunch. Bring your AirPods unless you like classic rock while you warm up. I definitely recommend but very hard to get weekend tee times here.

1/4 1030 tee time on a very pleasant SC winter am with some wind picking up about half way through the nearly 4 1/2 hr POP. Fairways are dormant cut tight giving extra roll but still having softer soil conditions to provide ok cushion but tricky for fairway metals.Divots seem to be getting better attention but still too many are neglected. Rough has been overseeded and is a lush green and is some what penal. Tees are generally ok and now the markers are placed closer together to provide a more narrow teeing area but are moved frequently to allow for better recovery. Bunkers are filled with deep sand and even more is being added to provide even a better fill. Would prefer that the fairway bunkers were firmer as recovery will cost at least a stroke. Greens are doing better with more consistent cover and less un-repaired ball marks. Soft enough to hold well struck irons but firm enough to provide quite a bit of speed on chips pitches and putts. Pins are assigned to six zones, #2 today, and within the zone there is ample opportunity to make it more challenging as they often were today being on the outer limits or strategically placed to be guarded by the undulations. Comfortable check in by friendly welcoming staff. Comfortable carts with interactive GPS with distance measured to the pin. All holes open and fully in play. Rating came out lower should be 7.1-7.3

Played on Sunday the 3rd and course is in excellent shape. Course was very busy but pace was good and moved along. Typical covid stuff, masks by clubhouse, no rakes, etc. Fairways nice and no bare spots, rough was penal in some places and could be thick but very playable. Greens fast and true and held well struck shots. Pins were in some crazy spots today but made for some interesting putting. Traps unraked but had plenty of sand in the ones around the greens and the fairway bunkers were firm and easy to play from. Tee boxes level and nice and saw the cart girl twice.

Overall really fun course and enjoy playing here. The $90 bucks is a little steep but I believe is worth it overall, compared to some of the other courses in the area and what they all charge. Would recommend
