Cascata: if you wonder what a Vegas VIP golf course excursion would be, this is the living example. From the time you ring the buzzer at the private entrance gate to walking out to your valeted car, with the clubs cleaned and loaded, it's a phenomenal experience. Having been there before, I enjoyed watching John_T and Famed02's reactions as we were greeted at the door and escorted to the locker room, passing the stream running through the clubhouse. We changed shoes then off to the dining room, where everyone went with the Eggs Benedict (good recommendation!). A short walk down to the cart area then through the Disneyland like doors to the most picturesque driving range I've ever seen. By the way, I can't see walking away from there without at least trying to poke one into the waterfall at the top of the range, even though it's almost unreachable to most. The course was what I expected from a 5 star resort course. Just immaculate from tee to green. Fairways were carpet like and lush, and the caddies picking up the loose divots and carrying them off is crazy. The rough was thick and juicy in most areas and advancing out was difficult. The greens were spectacular. Smooth and what seemed to be faster than lightning "11" on the Stimp meter. The new white sand bunkers "pop" with the desert landscape, and makes me think "this is what the pros hit out of every week." Talking about the caddies, Quincy was great. He was quick to pick up the relaxed and killing each other vibe of our group. Incredible feel for where the ball was going and his reads were spot on. I love the full caddy experience and he fit right in with us. If you are going to go "VEGAS" on your trip, Cascata is a must. The only thing we probably missed was a limo ride to and from, maybe next time.

Teed it up with some fellow GKers Friday and loved every minute of it. Gate opens, valet car in circle grand clubhouse entrance, waterfall stream running through the club house, personal locker, join the guys for eggs benny, head down to the indoor cart staging area to start the Disneyland ride, meet our caddie Casey, gates open, oasis practicing facility only photos can describe, proceed to first tee, play an epic golf course with newly renovated white sand bunkers, return back to the indoor staging area, talk golf with the guys for an hour around the clubhouse, finally leave, golf clubs and car waiting for me. This is an experience every golfer needs to have. Yes its pricey but you'll get 110% what you pay for.

Course conditions although not pristine due to the beginning of the drying out period before scalp/overseed, still fantastic. Greens so pure, running a 12, smooth and holding well hit it shots. Our caddie Casey who has been there for 14 years was dialed in on his recommendations. Plus a great guy to hang with during the round. Fairways lush bermunda. Rough (only real blemish at times but strictly due to pre-overseeding) as some holes had very thin bare areas but overall mostly lush. Bunkers, and I had at least a dozen sand shots, perfect. Brand new white sand not too soft. Tee boxes cut tight, little dry, in great shape. The golf course will start overseeding 9/2. Its going to be amazing when it reopens.

Friday was one of the most enjoyable golf experiences I’ve had in years and I played poorly. I managed only a couple good drives and spent much of the day donating balls to the desert mountain landscape. Managed to hit a ball into a waterfall which btw are gorgeously integrated into the desert landscape throughout the golf course. The views are sensational. There is never a letdown moment out there. Service is at the highest level.

I regret I did not play Cascata last year. This is a once a year golf experience I own to myself.

Ventured out to Cascata on Friday with Johnny and the Gk crew. Weather was hot but the stiff breeze made it feel less warm. Speaking of the wind.... it made this course very difficult. All uphill holes had wind at the back so they were fine but most if not all down hill were into the wind. This made and fade or draw go OB most of the time.

Course was in great summer condition and is better than a majority of the other CA, NV, AZ courses right now. They recently renovated the green side bunkers to nice and fluffy white sand. If you read the reviews from prior people this was needed. They still need to fix some fairway bunkers as there are small pebbles but the firmness is good for fairways. Greens ran smooth and fast like normal. They were however a little firmer than I like and anything landing on the back of the greens would bounce or roll off. The rough was super nasty friday and penalized you severely. Those will slower swing speeds pay the price and its tough to get one out of the rough.

Our caddie was Casey and while being a younger caddie he had been there for 14 years. He was spot on for every little piece of information. Even though we blamed him for the par 3 15th where all of us went into the back bunker haha. He should have told us the wind swirls on the hole. :) This is a great experience and I hope everyone get the opportunity to play here one day.

I'll start things off and be the first to review our GK outing at Cascata. First off 5 stars is not a high enough rating for the customer service. First class and top notch service without a doubt. From the Valet parking to the well stocked water bottles in the coolers throughout the course to the locker room. Everything is well thought out and they tend to your every need. It was nice taking a shower there at the club after the round before getting into the car for 5 hours. They are so in tune with the player that they even matched my locker number to my score. Just glad I had locker 89 and not 109! Cascata is getting ready for their annual major maintenance but you wouldn't know it out there on the course. It is a solid 9 all around. Tee boxes and fairways were easily rated at 9's. No issues whatsoever. Sand traps have some of the whitest sand you'll find anywhere. Greens were firm and fast. Make that lightning fast. I loved the speed of the greens. They rolled extremely true and our caddy Casey was spot on with his reads. Our group battled all day for the "Birdie Bling". Johnny and I traded blows back and forth with two birdies each but David snagged it at the end dropping a 55' birdie putt on the 18th for the walk off mic drop. The track is super fun that is the perfect blend of challenging yet scorable, visually pleasing, great conditions and of course top notch customer service. Some courses are a must play when in the area. Cascata is a must play regardless of where you are and worthy of a bucket list status.

I was lucky enough to join Alex326 when his partner could not join him yesterday. I arrived about 1 hour early so I could enjoy their fantastic breakfast and the eggs Benedict did not disappoint as usual. From the moment you arrive at Cascata you are treated with world class service and amenities, from the valet to the personalized locker tags, they make you feel like a VIP.

As almost every review states the practice facility is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. There is a large waterfall starting at the top of the mountain and winds its way through the practice facility and ends up going right through the clubhouse. We were pair up with a nice fella from Wisconsin and went out with our Caddie Mike about 10 minuets early.

As for course conditions they were to be expected for a 5 star facility like Cascata. Lush and level tee's with multiple sets to choose from and we played the 6200 whites due to the wind.

Fairway's were all perfect almost carpet like on every hole. Most of the fairways had large landing areas and have a nice 3 foot first cut around them. You do need to be mindful of some well placed bunkers ranging from 180-280 yards from the tee's. There are a few holes with creeks running through them which Mike was spot on with best distances to hit to.

Rough was 2-4 inches thick and penal which made for some fun times. Our caddie was very helpful in finding our wayward shots. Be mindful that some of the bunker collars are the nastiest rough I have ever encountered.

Greens were running at a medium/fast pace and were firm but would hold well struck shots and even allow spin from bunkers and pitches. While the greens didn't have a distinct one color look they all putted great and consistent. Putting can be very confusing on this course if you ignore your caddie there were a few holes that looked like a uphill putt but due to the valley and the way the mountains are set were actually down hill. Our Caddie Mike was right on the money for speed and normally within at least a ball or two on all breaks. To bad I am a poor putter because I could have done some damage on these greens. I did have a 45 foot putt drop though so that made my day.

The only thing I could nit pick about Cascata is the Bunkers. Most are firm and filled with small stones which I imaging is a tough task being in the desert and with the winds swirling all day. The good news is that Mike mentioned that they are getting new Sand next years so this course will be 10's across the board.

If you are ever planning a trip out to Las Vegas please make sure to come out to Cascata because you will not be disappointed. I know rates can be steep but it is much better to spend an entire day here rather than lose the same amount on the craps tables in 1 hour.

Conditions were a solid 9 all around. This place is absolutely awesome! Kevbig summed up the initial experience perfectly in That you go through a private gate, get your car parked by the valet who also takes care of your clubs. The entrance is the best bar none. There's a waterfall that comes off the mountain and down into, through then under the clubhouse.

After checking in, I headed to the locker room where I had a locker with my own name plate on it. It's a good thing I was decked out in my Ryder Cup outfit to look the part. Lol. Locker room has full amenities ( TV's, shower, razors, waters, etc). Our caddie was decent. He had his hands full keeping track of 3 of us and did a decent job. When there's three players it's hard for him to take care of everyone's clubs so the single player got more of that service than we did.

Course is so fun you forget how challenging it actually is. Uphill tee shots are into the wind but downhill tee shots are with the wind and oh so FUN!

Greens were nice and fast with minimal undulations.

Definitely a top notch facility well worth playing!

Had the opportunity to play in an outing at Cascata today. Funny how timing never worked out for me when the GK Plays were here and the year I move to Vegas, there wasn't a GK Play out here lol. Not much to say that hasn't already been said and done at this wonderful course. From the private gated entrance, excellent service at bag drop, the clubhouse with a waterfall running through it, to the pro shop with a make your own Arnold Palmer stand with fresh baked cookies and fruit. And that's all before you even get to the grass!

The range is awesome hitting against the backdrop of the water cascading down the hill. The putting green provided a good glimpse of what was to come on the course.

Course conditions were GREAT for summer in Vegas. Better than anywhere else I've seen this season. Yes the fairways and rough had some areas of heat stress but name a course that doesn't this time of year? Bunkers were good and had no issues. Same with the tees. Greens were PURE! Holding well, rolling fast, and other than a couple of small areas on a couple of them, were so smooth and great to putt on! Our caddy was very helpful with all aspects of the game. He mentioned that the greens were "pretty bad" for Cascata. Can only imagine what they're like in peak season if this was slow and bad. Wow!!! Can't wait to come back and hopefully with some GK'ers next time!

I was able to participate in the Boulder City golf day at Cascata today 5-14-2018. I was amazing. Breakfast before the round and lunch after. This course is high end and everything about it shows why.

I have played here twice both during GK Guru events that were just before the end of summer over seeding and while it was awesome then, this time in the prime season was over the top.

Starting bright and early we arrived at the course at 7:15 am and were greeted at the bag drop by an attendant that was very responsive and made sure to get our bags tagged with our names and on to our cart. Normally this would be a valet car drop, but the field was so big today that we self parked in the lower parking lot and were shuttled back to the club house.

We then checked in and were seated for a nice hot breakfast. Breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, potatoes, fresh cut fruit and juice or coffee. Delicious!

After breakfast we went to the range and short game area. The greens were aerated 5 days before and you could see the punch marks, but the greens still were running at 10 and were true. There was no evidence of residual sand and the greens were healing nicely.

At 8:30 we teed off in a shotgun format starting on hole 15 a short par 3.

This course was in immaculate shape all around. The tee boxes were perfectly manicured and level. There was slight evidence of divot repair but nothing you wouldn’t expect. Everywhere else that wasn’t marked as a teeing ground on the tee box was pristine.

The fairways were like carpet. Always a nice lie and no unrepaired divots anywhere. They stay on top of any divots everywhere on this course. You are required to have a forecaddie in each group that rides along on back of one of the carts. He is there to fill every divot, and repair every pitch mark on greens as well as rake all bunkers. They are also very good at giving yardage’s adjusted for elevation and wind. It was a great experience and well worth the tip.

As I mentioned the greens had no visible pitch mark damage and even thou recently punched, it was the small tines, they were healing great and were of no consequence to the true roll and speed throughout the course.

The bunkers were many and they were somewhat inconsistent. Some were fluffy and some were harder then others, but you could immediately tell when walking into them what to expect. When I say harder, I mean harder then the fluffy ones, not hard like most Vegas bunkers. You could always get your club into the sand and under the ball.

The rough was cut fairly short and was not much of a factor when you were in it.

The beverage car came around 4 times during our round and there were many coolers on the course with cold bottled water in them.

After our round we were treated to a nice lunch, with either chicken breast, fish, or hot dog-hamburgers. Nice potatoe salad and more fresh fruit. This was a high class outing and it was a fraction of the normal cost. I won’t say how much it cost, but I checked online tee times for the next day and they were going for $495. Our outing was about 25% of that. Meals and caddie included!

This was a fantastic day and a great way for the course to give back to the local community.

The staff was exceptional and were beyond friendly. This day was as close as you can come to a 10!

Played Friday 03/02 on day two of my birthday bash.
Course is near perfect. With the exception of some pebbles in the first couple of bunkers everything was amazing. Was told they are almost done with the bunker renovation.
Fairways lush with no divot damage. Rough was lush and the ball did sit down a little bit.
Tee boxes were great . Grass mowed down so the ball sat up high.
Customer service was great. Mike the caddie was great helping me on the green a lot and judging shots because the wind was blowing quite a bit.
