After 40 years I took up the game again. I played 9 holers in High School until I quit at age 16 (bad temper). I have had no (pro) instruction since resuming the game 2 years ago. I was a three sport athlete through junior college, and golf has proven the most frustrating game I've ever played. I love playing, with all sorts of people, and I take my game 90% seriously(temper 99% in check). I like to show up at the course as a walk-on, as I have met some great people in the process. When I'm on, I reach par 4's in 2; when I'm not quad bogeys on 3's are not uncommon. I've embraced golf because at age 58 I've found the last physical sport that I have a chance at being competitive at. It is getting better.
