The game of golf was first introduced to me by a friend over ten years ago. Occasional visit to the range with an old set of Wilson clubs (bought for $60) at Target over that period. Since then, I have played more golf in the last month, than I have since my introduction to the game when I took the game "more seriously" in May 2007.
On March 21, 2007, I went under surgery to remove a part of my colon where a malignant tumor was found. During my stay in the hospital, I had internal bleeding which forced a second surgery relieve the hematoma. Upon waking up from the second surgery, my wife whispered in my ears that she would buy me a new set of Ping clubs if I promised to recover fast. It took me about a month to walk normally again, since the 8 inch incision on my "bikini line" prevented me from standing straight for a while. True to her promise, she took me to the local golf shop and bought me a set of Ping G5s. I wish I could say, "and the rest was history"; well, at least not yet.
As you can see what's in my bag, I have become addicted to the game that I've literally tried them all (clubs). I have come to settle on the items I have in my bag. These clubs have helped me shoot an 81 at Anaheim Hills (par 71, 71.4/124). Had it not been a lost ball, I would have broken 80! I try to get out to the range and a course once a week (I try). I also credit my "success" in the last year or so to youtube and all the golf magazines you can think of.
