I've been traveling to Vegas for cheap, hot summer golf for decades. If you were willing to get up early to beat (most of) the heat, then fancy courses that cost hundreds of dollars in prime weather were readily available for short money. But, in the last year or so, it seems that almost all courses have increased in cost - even in July and August. Hard to find a bargain even using the discount tee time sites. Does anyone have an explanation as to this development?

It's the Trump economy!! Demand is up!! We're great again!!

Also, the pool of players is much larger now with especially Asian and European tourists visiting the area.

Supply and demand.

Unless you're playing Monday-Thursday, those times cost money. Vegas is in the middle of an economic boom, both with move-ins (thanks California) as well as tourists. Tourism numbers are incredible right now so the courses are taking advantage. Even the "resident" rates, normally below $40 in the summer on most courses, are still at almost winter rates.
