Two Sundays in a row. This one 5/19 the lead group at 5:50Am and POP of 3 hrs.
Cool to mild temps and light winds and the high marine layer lifted on the back 9 to sunny skies. $43 to walk $20 per cart seat no-gps.
Course is in good shape and very playable in muni condition. Greens are very nice and were not punched in spring. A few extra ball marks. No complaints playing ball down through the green. Rough length variable from nil to deep hard to find ball in a few spots. Bunkers have darker sand machine groomed with a few pebbles. Enough give to thump it out greenside.
The contrast of the two rounds was the scoring. Played white tees last week and on the wrong side of triple digit scoring. Made the move up the the gold markers (-570 yards) and I noticed the difference. We both scored better that 10 strokes lower and I avoided many penalty strokes too. Hitting more mid irons and a few short ones into the greens helped the scorecard and the fun level.
