Never going back to sewer cliffs. Worst course conditions I've played that I can recall. Tee boxes were atrocious. No grass on the fairways, nothing but hardpan. It's a complete mess. I'm usually not this hard on courses, but I have to be honest. Here's a silver lining- your drives will roll out forever because the fairways are nothing but hardpan ROFL.

I've been playing SJH quite a bit lately, usually around 4pm during the week so my review might not be applicable to you. I keep going back because I'd rather play golf than hit range balls. SJH is pretty awesome when it's not busy. The course is decent, and it's usually empty when I'm there. The greens on the front nine are in good shape considering that most people don't fix marks, and tend to drag their feet. The tee boxes are kinda beat up, but you should be able to find a flat lie. Fairways are not good, but the maintenance staff at least makes an attempt to mark "ground under repair".

FWIW~This place can get very busy during peak hours. Don't play Saturday or Sunday in the morning/early afternoon unless you're prepared for a 5+ hour round.

Upon arrival to Apple Valley CC I thought that I might have made a mistake. I don't think of myself as a golf course "snob", but I admit that the entrance to the course looks pretty ghetto. The first thing I noticed was the faded worn down billboards advertising their facility. The clubhouse looks very modest from the outside. I couldn't help but think that I should've played at a course I was familiar with.

The parking lot is small. Tiny. I don't think there's 30 parking spots. I'm exaggerating but the lot is small.

Alright, I'm done beating up on this course. The first thing I noticed after parking my car was at least 2 dozen of what appeared to be BRAND NEW CARTS. AWESOME.

I checked in with the starter (who was as nice as can be) and headed to the first tee in the aforementioned cart. The tee box was wonderful. Flat and lush. This was the condition of all the tee boxes at Apple Valley CC.

The course layout is very generous. The fairways are huge, and very green. If you're in the fairway you have a good lie. The greens were soft and very receptive. They rolled a bit bumpy and slow, but true.

Oh Apple Valley CC, how I misjudged you. Flat lush tees, green fairways, and excellent condition greens. I'll see you tomorrow AVCC.

Green river is a decent track. It's not a difficult layout at all, but the wind was very strong today. The wind knocked a few pins over, and it blew my hat off my head several times. The greens are in good shape. They rolled slow but true. Fairways are ok, rough is nonexistent, and the tee boxes are ok. The best part of the round was the lady in the proshop. She's SMOKIN HOT! Lol!

Tukwet Canyon is becoming one of my favorite tracks. The layout for the Champions course is great. I didn't have a bad lie when I was in the fairway the entire day. I really enjoyed my round.

Wow. What a great track. I had a terrific time at Tukwet Canyon. The proshop staff was very friendly, and the course is in great shape. The fairways and rough were excellent.

A couple bunkers had small pools of water, but fortunately I didn't end up in any. The bunkers I did end up in were fluffy, and playable. The course is letting the grass on the tee boxes grow out. The tee boxes were a bit hairy, but flat.

GKers also need to know that there was sand on every green. Surprisingly the greens were still fairly fast, and rolled pretty true.

BE CAREFUL OF RATTLESNAKES.

I can't wait to play this course again after it's fully healed.
To be honest I'll probably go back ASAP lol!

Played 4/14/13. First time at Dos Lagos. I'm a fan of the course layout. The designer did a great job utilizing the landscape. The fairways were excellent. I didn't have a bad lie in the fairway the entire round. The rough was also very manageable. The tee boxes were either awesome, or very bad. There were at least 4 tee boxes that I can distinctly remember being horribly uneven.
The greens at Dos Lagos look diseased. There are light green spots all over them. Also, they haven't completely healed yet from the aeration. Putts rolled somewhat true, but slow. The club appears to be dealing with the greens the best they can I'm sure, but I feel it necessary to let my fellow GKers know.

Even though the greens are currently going through heavy maintenance, I decided to play San Juan Hills today. It was my first time on this course, and I had a pleasant time. I think once the greens are healed, there's a good chance I'll return. I joined a couple regulars and they said the greens are usually very nice. The course is short. I had wedges into every par 4. This track is very forgiving.

I played Shorecliffs for the first time today. I now know why you guys call it sewercliffs lol! The starter was a nice guy. Greens are in pretty good shape. They ran true, and the speed of a few downhill putts surprised me. Fairways are beat up. Tee boxes are in really bad shape. The worst aspect of Shorecliffs is pace of play. The course is "5some friendly" which means over 5hrs to play 18. If pace of play gets under your skin do not play at Shorecliffs.

Cloudy day today. My original plan was to play at Champions Club, but I didn't want to drive that far only to get rained out. This is my first experience at Casta Del Sol, and I figured I'd give it a go since their green fee was only $12(3pm walking rate). First and foremost, Tim(the starter) is a nice guy. Very accommodating. He got me out as soon as I got there. I really appreciated that since the course was busy.

The first tee was jammed up pretty good. A 5some teeing off, and a 4some on deck. Fortunately there was a 2some walking up to the 10th hole, and I joined them. The course does play rather slowly, but that's expected on a par 3 course. Tee boxes are in pretty good shape, as are the greens. I didn't expect much for $12, and am happy to report I was pleasantly surprised.

Played today 9/29 a late morning round. The front 9 was awesome. Pace of play was very good. Things got ugly on the back 9. Back 9 took twice as long as the front 9. The course is in decent shape, greens aren't too bumpy, and the tee boxes are decent. A few of the fairways were muddy. On several holes I was dead in the center of the fairway, and my ball was literally covered in mud.

Utilized a click4teetimes special. $20 for a before noon tee time? AWESOME. The starter (young guy) sent me out an hour early too. SWEET! The course was very wet. There were quite a few roped off sections on the fairways as well. Greens were decent, lots of weird black spots on them (not sure what it was). Tee boxes were flat, but very hairy.
