A tale of two nines @ Harbour Pointe. Front nine is extremely tight with water on nearly every hole. The back nine features more grip and rip with only water on the reachable par 5 tenth. You have to be careful about your approach shots as most all greens slope big time back to front and are always rolling quick and true. Very nice course and always in good shape during late spring, summer, fall. Very fun layout and is a challenging yet fun for all golfers. Not a great winter track as it gets very sandy and wet in the rainy months. Another OKI course, so buy the pass and get the discounts.

The Home Course of my hometown and a proud alum of the UW Huskies! Last played here in September 2011, and is one of my favorites. Nice staff and great facilities greet you before you tee off. Course Conditions during late spring, Summer and Fall months are always good. Fairly Wide open off the tee, with huge greens and aggressive bunkering make this course a good test and of utmost importance to be precise in your approach shots. Strongly suggest if you do play the OKI GOLF courses you pick up a oki card and save money. Otherwise the green fees are a bit on the steep side. Must play if you are in the area.

Played Nov 1 2011, course is in the middle of no where and dealt with a little fog, but walked on and got off right away with a couple of other guys. Really nice course with difficult layout from the TIPS. Conditions for the track were immaculate, greens were rolling and very quick once things warmed up. Other than grass clippings in the rough everywhere, but hey I'll take that at as the first ones off the tee in the morning. My only fear is this course doesn't get enough play and won't be around in a few years. Tough place to get to but well worth the trek.

Played in late October 2011. And absolutely loved it! Top class facility all the way (Other than the range being tiny, and off mats). The course is a must play and a classic american golf course. Mackenzie was an absolute genius when it came to golf course design and this one doesn't disappoint. Staff is a little on the snooty side and also tried to charge me full price when i secured a hot time on their website, other than that the marshall was awesome, and the course condition was as good as anyone can imagine. Keep it under the hole, A MUST PLAY.

When I moved from Seattle to Orange County a few months back all I heard was "nice weather, but everything looks the same and is overpriced" So far weather has been great, the strip malls are nauseating and everything is overpriced. I played Oak Creek on a weekend in mid December, got a golfnow for $125 (or so). First off, nice facilities (huge range) but i feel like i was pinched as for the money course was pretty ratty. Also, when paying that kind of $$$ for a round, you should get at least a small bucket to warm up. Something about the Irvine Company yells, screw the customer we want our money (but no I'm not bitter)! Layout is nice, but nothing inspirational or jaw dropping, no holes that I'd deem spectacular. Rather many looked the same. Greens were rolling well and in good shape. Though one thing i don't understand are the dormant fairways- seems a lot of courses around here do this, and regardless of there reason, you cannot charge full price for this garbage! Perhaps someone can message me and explain the dormant fairway thing to me. I won't be playing this track again for the full rate until the fairways are lush and green or i get a killer rate.

Another GEM at PGA West, facilities at this place are second to none! Loved the course from the Tips as it forced me to use every club. Tees, Fairways, Rough, Bunkers etc all were plush and in great shape! Greens were true and very quick- Layout is spectacular. Not as good as Stadium but better than 99% of 'high end' courses you will play. Doesn't hurt my judgement that i out kicked my coverage and played out of my mind all day- including a sticking a 3 wood on 15. A note to all, avoid at all costs hitting it in the dormant rough areas as that stuff is so fluffy you are lucky to get out of there alive). A must play if you want a challenge.

hooked up a good rate thru golfnow- $99 bucks. Really impressed with the range and facilities when i arrived. As for the course it didn't disappoint. Really fun layout and course was in excellent shape (except for black tee on par 3 17th). It was right next to a hotel resort pool, extremely small (so torn up) and ton of noise. Really lush fairways, good rough, very tough greens (didn't find many straight puts on the entire course) Greens were lightening quick and rolled true. My only complaint was the lack of sand in the greenside bunkers. Had issues on 2 of them. 18th hole was a true golf hole and extremely tight. A good value and a must play.

After playing the Pebble course with the fiance 2 days prior, she decided she was ready for the real deal this go around. Unfortunately she told me this as we were on the way to the course, I had already secured (not fully paid for) a cheaper rate on the Pebble. When i told the gentlemen behind the desk we wanted to play the Boulder, he gouged me with the rack rate of $70/person. (Standby golfer rate is $55). I asked once if he could grant me a discounted rat e- no luck... Instead of making a scene, i obliged and paid the extra dough.

Course was in good shape, nice tee-boxes (some were lumpy or uneven) fairways were nice. Rough was very short and many times it was hard to decipher between the fairway and rough (typical muni issue, so nothing big there)

Layout was ok, some tight holes with the fairway bunkering, but by in large it was wide open. (keep in mind the previous 3 days i played shadow ridge, nicklaus tournament, and TPC Stadium, so standards were extremely high). Greens were in very good shape, a bit on the slow side, but rolled pretty true. If i would've paid the $55 standby golfer rate, i'd have been really satisfied. All in all nice muni.

Top 3 Public Golf Course I've played. Fantastic layout and was in prime condition. Extremely challenging but for upper end players its a must play. From the tips or blues the tee shots force you to think about shot shape. Greens were true (and very fast) bunkers had plenty of sand and were well manicured. Highly Recommended!
